Daehun is heading to flop status with every contest..

 

At the current ongoing finals, Daehun is placed 27th, 3rd from last. As a result music chairman, Jonghyun, has stated in order to avoid another flop status in the February contest we will send a generic song with english lyrics in order to boost up the placing. "We are deeply saddened by this current result so far as we expected to beat our 23rd placing last month. With 23 points, this is even worse than our first ever DNQ and we are willing to boost it up."

Finished 28th (second last) in the finals... with 39 points. Our next entry is going to be on the safer edge.

 

Our nation is now weeping for the flop that occurred :cry:

 

This is also our lowest voting score as our first and only DNQ entry had 40 points. :(

Nation girl IU through to the Semi-Finals in The Best Of...!!

 

Daehun's little princess has gone through with "Good Day" to the semis in TBOs. This marks the first appearance of Daehun in The Best Of... contest!

 

For now, let us all enjoy some of IU's Good Day :D

Daehun would appreciate if some of the countries would offer help on selecting tracks for our upcoming entry. Most importantly, our entry will be ENGLISH SPEAKING so please help :D

2 of the songs are still Asian-Pop but just english but 2 aren't. I am not abandoning Asian Pop. It will probably be that once in a year or twice I will send an English song but K/J-Pop will be my main so no worries! :yahoo:

Daehun finishes 19th with IU's entry in TBO

 

IU's Good Day has landed a Top 20 finish at BJSC's The Best Of.. 2011 contest at position #19, something which Daehun is pleased of considering we weren't thinking we would make the finals! As a reward, IU is given a 2 week holiday rest before returning to the live performances per week.

Daehun confirmed for BuzzJack XLI

 

Emperor Lee Kikwang has confirmed that Daehun will be joining in with other nations on BuzzJack Song Contest XLI edition. "We hope to bring good news this time as it's an Asian Pop song but with English lyrics". He has assured that this won't be all the time but rather once or twice occurance throughout the year as we still maintain our strong roots to the Korean and Japanese language.

moumoon's Sunshine Girl (English Version) will represent Daehun at BJSC XLI edition!

A old hit it is (released during the summer of 2010), this is the English version of Sunshine Girl. Very Diana Vickers/Katie Sky-like, it's about spending the time during the sunny days of summer. We hope other public citizens of other nations would enjoy our entry this time round!

Daehun has crossed into the finals of BJSC XLI but JUST ABOUT as we were announced as the last qualifier. Much dislike for us being announced last as the nation sighs with a relief at the announcement of the last qualifier.

 

On the odd wise, it's quite varied as we're mid-table at Rich's Odds but on Phil we're bottom 2 :nocheer:

Daehun's Empress demoted, locked in and replaced

 

After being caught in trying to poison one of the Emperor's concubine's son, Empress Yoona is being demoted to "Noble Lady" status which is 5 ranks lower than that of the Empress and the lowest there is. Further to demotion, she is under house arrest and currently locked in the Cold Eastern Palace.

After much consideration, the most fitting for the new title was Imperial Noble Consort Kuu who is now elevated to Empress Kuu as shown below:

3 New Consorts chosen by Emperor Kikwang

 

3 New consorts have been chosen to join the Imperial Palace household. Imperial Consort Nana who replaced the newly elevated Empress Kuu, Consort Min and lastly Consort Nishino. Nana has been given 20 servants and the Beauty Risen Palace with Min and Nishino given the Eastern Palace and Western Palace respectively with 10 servants each. A celebration is to be held on the Imperial Dragon Palace on the 10th February in the celebration of the newly coronated Empress and newly joined Consorts.

Upcoming entry for the next contest CHOSEN!

 

Daehun has officially chosen the next track to represent us in the next BJSC edition. Described as very "Beyonce Halo Themed", the singer of this next track is popular for covering numerous YouTube videos along the likes of Mariah Carey "Hero". The upcoming chosen track serves as her debut track for becoming a singer in the K-Pop world and be warned, SHE POSSESSES BEYONCE's VOCALS AND STAGE PRESENCE!

 

This has also marked the first time sending a R&B Pop song into the contest. Further news to be made once confirmation opens and closes. HEAVEN HEAVEN HEAVEN HEAVEN, HEAVEN!

Daehun flops third time in a row

 

With every score being lower than the previous, we are heading for flop nation status sadly. The musical chairman has an entry planned already for the forthcoming contest but if that entry fails, then the nation would turn AWAY from the Asian music submittions and begin to send only Western songs to the contest in a bid to do a little better.

 

This time, we will not send other nations to choose our entry but rather choose with whatever we desire this time round.

Some free advice from the country now ranked 3rd highest scoring of all time and one of 4 to have participated in all 41 contests:

 

Only ever send something you love and don't chase a top10 by moving away from something you adore. Success with a song you literally can't stop playing means so much more than success with a song you don't care so much about and only entered for the success you hoped it would bring. In the long run you'll get more from introducing people to K/J-pop with songs they'll likely never have heard than entering something just for success.

 

It only takes one track to win. I personally could not be more proud of my winner. For me, there was no better way to win than with a song that was a complete discovery to the vast majority of voters and spurred some on to listen to her album. That is a prize far more valuable than a top 10.
