She's friends with Ian and she shagged Phil. That's pretty much it. I'm not sure either would provide a believable enough reason for her to return.

They couldn't even use the Vic as the big draw (as they did before) given it's now the place that her darling father was murdered, and it's now been safely established as the natural home for Kat & Alfie.

I don't see a return being problematic in terms of 'believability'. I'm not even sure I subscribe to that method of thinking given that everybody knows any iconic soap character who isn't killed off will always be subject to future returns - and

-----Sharon-----

herself has returned and left again about fifty times already. All that matters is that when a return happens there are good stories in place waiting for that character.

Also lest we forget there's unfinished business with

Phil seeing as how it was he who had Dennis killed, something she still doesn't know about

.

It has been said a they've been in talks to try and get a big character back. Could well be

-----Sharon-----

I love the double episode. Its a shame as I'm going to miss Samantha Womack such a good actress.

Looks like Micheal has been typecasted as a bad guy, I wonder if the producers are going down that route with the character. I think the Moon family are beginning to interest me quite a bit, does anyone know when the rest of the Moon family finally arrives.

Where did you get that idea? :o He seems to be a nice young chap to me.

Pretty brilliant stuff again tonight, with Ronnie and Kat's scenes being the definite highlights. Although the whole Moon family still infuriate me, the actors are definitely better than Jack and Roxy (both of whom were actually quite decent at points tonight though) - I'm interested to see where they go next with Roxy in terms of her finding a stable relationship as promised, and Jack in terms of his grief.

That wasn't

Phil was it? I don't remember that at all. I'm sure it was actually Johnny Allen who arranged Dennis' murder.

End of an era.

No way! :o

Can't say I'll be sorry to see

her

go but it'll be a little odd without

her

!

Really good episode tonight, I still feel Michael is incredibly overrated and I'm not looking forward to more moody Jack (Scott does it so badly!) Samantha and Jessie portrayed Kat and Ronnie brilliantly (as always), and I felt it was a fitting end to the storyline. Also I quite liked Lauren finding out about the affair.

:o SRSLY! Oh god...

She'll obviously die then.

There are rumours that

she dies of a heart attack

but I think that's just the DS lot going a bit mad and I personally think it would be a mistake to kill that person off. I think more times than not killing a major character off in soapland is unnecessary and just creates about a week's worth of misery storylines and good grief acting but after that they're all but forgotten anyway and can never come back.

My ideal exit for

Pat would be for Peggy to come back for an episode and persuade her to go travelling with her, somewhere with sun and sea and sand and a whole host of toxic cocktails.

Really hope it isn't

a heart attack, what a boring way to go for such a huge character! I guess it's more exciting that dying in her sleep, but still...

Loved tonight's episode and especially how there were constantly people rushing in and out of the courtroom - as if they'd allow that?!

Im so gutted about the latest departure, she is such a huge iconic part of eastenders, i hope she gets a fantastic exit.

Fantastic episode

I expected it drag out to tomorrow's episode. Was suprised by the verdict. I thought Ronnie would get off and go to mexico but alone. But as i began watching, she showed too much loyalty to Jack and Roxy to ever do that. Jessie wallace was brilliant. I am glad Michael has been found out. Such a nice lovely last scene.

I am shocked by the latest departure.

After watching Eastenders best exits last night, i officially want Sharon back more than ever.

Sharon? Why? That would be the most random comeback ever. What could she possibly have in Walford to come back for? She was good, once, but I feel she's best left in the past.

Pretty much that - never been a fan, but they're definitely iconic to the soap!

A lot of people thought the same about Mandy and she is coming back

Sharon was a fan favourite. There was even a poll a few years ago asking people what character they would like back and Sharon won.

I didn't think Sharon leaving heartbroken and pregnant was the way of Sharon's story coming to an end for definite.

Am I the only one who found the whole Kat forgivving Ronnie scene pathetic, cheesy, badly acted and completley out of place and character? It was horrendous, and ruined an otherwise brillian episode.
