"Zoe Lucker's amazing" - this makes me very happy. She's a superb actress, but I've felt that since Tanya returned, she's been left in the shadows.

And, from what I've seen of her in the past - she could be one of the best on the show if they use her to her full potential.

Upcoming one night stand spoiler:

Michael and JANINE.

Literally AMAZING. I love them both and they'd actually be an amazing team together.

Definitely agree with this. Zoe has not been used to her full potential at all! Such a shame, Vanessa could have been a fantastic character.

The 'haters' can say what they want, because tonight was superb. But, may I say - this proves what I said hours ago, Zoe Lucker is superb - and, in what may be an unpopular statement, was the better of the two actresses on this episode. Although both were on top form tonight.

Cora and Max lived up to their high standards too. Tonight actually highlighted to me how much Lauren has improved while this new actress has been on the Square, she has the makings of a superb actress when older.

However, tonight did prove that, even when given something heart-wrenching to act - Greg was shit. Abi was pretty poor too, just standing still with the same blank expression throughout. Sure, a kid wouldn't be expected to do much in a situation, but she's at an old enough age to actually engage a strong emotion.

Tanya, Max, Vanessa and Cora were AMAZING. That was an absolute masterpiece of an episode, I was frozen throughout. No other soap does high drama like EastEnders when a storyline reaches the reveal. Properly amazing stuff. I defy anybody to claim Jo Joyner is an average actor after that performance tonight. And yes it was brilliant to see Vanessa unleash her Tanya Turner AT LONG LAST.

I thought Abi was good actually, almost as good as Lauren.

Really don't agree about Abi, when she's sad, she just stands there with a 'I'm trying really hard to act sad' face on. I don't believe from a girl of her age, she would act like that in a situation such as that we saw tonight.

WOOOOOW. I loved that episode! Zoe Lucker absolutely stole it for me - totally awesome, powerful performance and exactly how I thought Vanessa would react.

I loved that Tanya chose neither of them in the end. It made the whole thing much more interesting and complex than it would've been otherwise. Lauren and Abi kicking Max out, whilst unrealistic (my dad would just tell me where to go), was a good touch too.

Fantastic tonight, well executed, and i know i keep saying this but how great would it be if simon ashdown could at least write one of the episodes every single week, i love his work and he is in a completly different league of his own.
Really good episode - Vanessa and Cora stole the show. Cora's face when Tanya turned the tables back on her was a masterclass in acting. Tanya did up her game for this episode. Greg was bloody awful.
Greg was utter SHIT. I can't decide if he was shit because he was given such duff material or if he was given such duff material because he was shit. By rights, his character deserved a little more of the focus in Friday's episode than he actually got - a 2 minute let's-ship-him-off-as-quickly-and-quietly-as-possible. It was more a cameo than anything.
I think that his dispatching went more in hand with that patronising nature that he evokes in people because he's younger than the 3 other characters in this storyline. I always saw him as toyboy for Tanya but I have no idea of their ages.

I think it's apparent Stefan Booth just didn't work out of as an actor playing opposite three of the best in the show. If he was Jake Wood mk II he wouldn't have been booted.

I can't believe nobody else has picked up on the fact that Max swore on Oscar's life he wasn't involved with Tanya. It really proves what an odious (and yet fabulous) character he is.
Ya the swearing on oscars life line by max showed just how much he will lie and manipulate to get out of a situation. As for Greg i agree he was terrible and his reactions were just bland, i wonder is that the end of greg or will we see him again. Stefan Booth mixed with all those others showed up his poor acting skills i have to say.

Just caught up as I missed Friday's ep.

Vanessa WAS fabulous, I didn't think Zoe Lucker was that good an actress tbh but the way she reacted was just SPOT ON! Also Tanya was definitely on form in the episode, Zoe overshadowed Jo thought. Ann (Cora) was 2nd to Zoe imo, the bit with her and Tanya was a brilliant scene. Max was, as has been said, brilliant as well, and the swearing on Oscar's life did indeed show how manipulative he is, and only wants to save his own neck.

The missing link was Greg, he's fit as but that's it. He's so dull, and what a non-reaction  And lol at the exit, he just goes, you barely even noticed he went tbh!

Well.... that was different... pretty hilarious in places, Vanessa going awol was laughable, I'll be glad to see the back of her, worst character in EE.

Can't wait for next week's episodes... in Southend :D

Worst character in EE? Are you for real?

Zoe Lucker was AMAZING tonight! I've personally not really seen the fuss about her, especially recently, but today she was just epic! Felt incredibly sorry for Vanessa though at the end.
I've never been a huge fan - but that's mainly because she's been severley underused. But to call her the worst character in a show that sports the likes of Greg, Abi, Liam, Kim, Tyler and Anthony is just laughable.
