It was decent. I love Michael when he's being a snarling bast*rd. He looked really beautiful tonight too... yum.

 

Gillian Wright (Jean) has taken best actress at the Inside Soap awards. EE also got best newcomer (Lucy Beale), funniest male (Fatboy), funniest female (Kim), best bitch (Janine) and best soap. :D

Janine hasn't even been that bitchy this past year! Infact she's mellowed quite a lot since having Scarlett.

Tonight's episode was rather crap! Too cringy/cheesy in most places.

Wouldnt it be far better if the producers got actors to shoot occasional secnes before they finish up on leave to make the stories more believable. Janine for example, couldnt Charlie have recorded a few scenes shpowing her ringing Michael, or just spying on the square to cover her abscence and that we way we would feel she is still on screen, stories we are told are well planned so surely something like would be possible for charactors in many soaps, also this would work for maternity leave, even if they were just casual scences like sitting in the cafe they could be edited in when needed.

The end of tonight's episode was heartbreaking! Brilliant acting from Danielle/Lola, it made me quite emotional watching her having to give Lexi up like that. :( I really hope she gets Lexi back!

Agreed. The only thing I had a problem with was that Ben was revealed as the dad...they may as well rename Eastenders to "The Ben Mitchell Show"! :rolleyes:

I am FINALLY starting to warm to Lola. She's much better when she's less OTT. When she's playing the witty mum rather than the aggressive brat, she's very endearing as a character. I really felt for her when social services came to take Lexi away.

 

I think the revelation about Ben being the father was very well-timed. Now Phil can wade in with all of his power and might and make sure Lexi is returned, PLUS he'll stop picking on the Moons and have a granddaughter to focus on.
