It was probably cancelled by the new EP when she realised he had NO REASON to be there and hadn't done anything of note for five months. An affair with Shirley might have been interesting but he just isn't enough of an actor to pull anything off. Having said that I wouldn't have minded Rose staying. I feel she was rather underused and really fell under the axe because of Dot's extended break.

I quite liked Rose too, shame she went. I liked her interactions with Dot and Cora.

She had a similarly shite exit, not so much as a goodbye scene with Cora or Patrick. Was all she deserved though.

 

Am glad Andrew is gone, i always found him dull and boring and a lame actor to go with it.

I don't think the guy who played Andrew was any worse than many of the regular cast members right now. I agree it was a rubbish exit though, and I'm at a loss as to why they kept him on. It was clear he was only around for the Heather reveal, but then why on earth was there no "pay off"? Apart from a few evil glances at Jay, there was NOTHING. I can only assume when they gave him the extended contract they still hadn't quite worked out what the details of the plot resolution.

Andrew got an absolutely terrible nothingy exit but then he contributed nothing at all and was one of the poorer actors on the show. He won't be missed. Infact, I was surprised he was even mentioned (twice!) in today's episode considering people have had a whole weekend to forget him.

 

I'm glad Ben did what was right and realised that he needed to be punished for what he'd done to Heather, despite pressure from Phil.

 

Still loving Sharon's work, although she has too many scenes with her son if you ask me.

Agreed, but how? I can only echo what Slick said and give Sharon less scenes with her son. Perhaps he could be a male version of Shenice and never be seen or heard, but still be there! :P
