I suppose so.

Although Beyonce may be better than Justin Bieber overall, but imo, One Time>>>>>>>>>>>>Telephone.

The post you were quoting was refering to how much effort she was putting in & your reply indicated that she was only using as much energy as U2. Yes, sure they moved round, but nothing like that.

And please don't been so condesending.

She'll have sang over 20 songs? So she's just doing exactly what U2 did on Friday? It's a bloody headline at Glasto! If you DON'T do 20 songs and are on for less than 90 minutes then its a disgrace!

I think it's fairly obvious that the part of the post I was referring to was suggesting that performing for such a length of time and doing so many songs was some kind of special achievement. It isn't, it's a Glastonbury headline set. It doesn't matter if you sing pop music, rock music or folk music, whether you're constantly dancing or just stand there, or whether your 20 years old or 70, no one should expect anything less than a minimum of 20 songs over a 90 minute period. Hell, Springsteen a 60 year old man played for three hours straight two years ago, and you can't seriously say it's not as draining, the amount of effort and energy he put into it!

Among my Facebook friends there's been a grand total of zero statuses about Beyoncé. So I'd say it is a bit debatable.

18 statuses over this way. Also basically all of twitters trending topics are about it. You seem to be a special case.

Gosh, you must REALLY hate Run the World!!!! :o :o :o

Imo:

Run the World>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>One Time>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Telephone>>>>>>>>>>>>>Baby

Nobody called U2 lazy though did they, think about the context of what was said before you comment. :coffee: Beyonce and lazy those words dont have any connection, you dont get much more hard working then someone like Beyonce.

Beyonce was sensational, that was one of the best (actually probably THE best) live concerts i have ever witnessed.

Well Bre, the talk of the country cant really be judged by your facebook.

I never said they did. You were making out that what Beyonce has done makes her AMAZING, but in reality she's just done what every other Glasto headliner has done. I haven't mentioned anything about anyone being lazy or hard-working but I'm being questioned for it?!

Even Queens of the Stone Age have two of the top six trends....

NOT YOU. What are you talking about? BRE used the word lazy i was commenting back on what he said didnt quote you did i.

I'm saying calling an artist lazy because they're interacting with the crowd, letting them sing a long, join in, and the fact she has just danced and sang for the last 90minutes about 20 songs, LAZY doesnt come in to it. FFS. It shouldnt be so hard to take in.

Anyway back to iTunes possibly? I'm sure most people dont want to see an endless Beyonce debate.

Maybe all of the Glasto headliners are amazing? I've never watched any though, but just because Beyonce has done so well, it doesn't make the others bad.

I have about 5 statuses on my feed, all from a certain loon here on this site (and it's not Lovett) ;)

BEYONCE RULED!!!

Hoping to see 'Best Thing I Never Had', 'End of Time', 'Run the World', 'If I Were A Boy', 'Halo' and 'Irreplaceable' rocket up iTunes. Actually, all of them would be good. :kink:

Only Buzzjack could turn such a brilliant Beyonce performance, that everyone should be rejoycing into a 4 page arguement.

This thread reminds me of when I saw her live five years ago in Brighton (yes, she really did play here!) as part of a Radio 1 roadshow thing. Two rows of diehard stans at the front fawning and fainting and that wouldn't have a bad word said against her, two rows of haters at the back who had come to see McFly - go figure - and a lot of us indifferent in the middle of the crowd as she belted out a load of album tracks that only the front row seemed to know/enjoy. As somebody who likes, but doesn't love her - I own a few of her singles and two of her four albums - I can admit that she had a stunning voice and incredible stage presence but I still wasn't blown away, something didn't connect with me and I'm not sure that it was only the crap choice of songs. Admittedly, opening with 'Hello London' and not realising or correcting her mistake didn't get her off to the best start with the crowd, who were able not to be forgiving seeing as none of us had paid for tickets!

At least she's had an almost definitive and well picked setlist tonight. Far far better than the time I saw her, and on the subject of 4 I'm quite jealous that Diane Warren gave us It's My Time for our 2009 UK Eurovision entry if she's still capable of writing songs like I Was Here. 4 is nowhere NEAR as bad as some people make it out to be, I prefer it to I Am...Sasha Fierce and B'Day in terms of consistency, if not as many killer singles.

I haven't posted one status about her, but I've "liked" at least 50. There were loads of statuses about her on my Facebook, I just couldn't be bothered adding another one to it!

Unexpectedly, I rather enjoyed that set. I was expecting her to be a Mariah-esque diva but she seemed to display genuine warmth and affection for the occasion and she was vocally very strong indeed. I didn't mind the dancing either, it made me laugh on a few occasions. The only thing that mildly frustrated me was the sheer number of covers she did - although I'm going to put it down to her realising that her own material wasn't always as festival friendly and wanted to rock it up a bit to suit the venue.

Oh and the one that went 'to the left' rather a lot... I was AMAZED that so many people knew the words to it, I think she was rather surprised too!

 Like banging your head on a brick wall with some of these lot. Yawn, moving on.

LOVING the Beyonce takeover already, going to just continue to grow. :D

4 will without a doubt be #1 then!

When is the new video out for the brilliant Best Thing I Never Had?

I didn't post any Beyonce statuses either. But that's just because I didn't want to ruin my street cred. :D

I came in here hoping to see Beyonce roar up the iTunes chart, can't find updates amongst the arguments. Anyone know where she is?

Yes it is really, trying to get stans to accept even the slightest modicum of criticism!
