Having said that, I don't think you should be criticised on here just for speaking out (a lot) against rap. Many people on here speak out against Justin Bieber, The Saturdays, Bruno Mars etc.

People 'speaking out against' individual artists is fine as long as it doesn't dominate every single one of their posts (e.g. smirnoff_ice with GaGa), vidcapper constantly bleats on against an entire style of singing used by thousands of artists.

I respect that vidcapper has an opinion but it just gets really annoying that about 1 in 3 of his posts seem to be about how much he hates rap.

The worst rap verse I've heard this year was the one in Friday by Rebecca Black. Nothing rhymed or anything, and he was talking about school buses and clocks or something.

I like the rapping in Give Me Everything. It's really bad from a lyrical point of view (like he rhymes "Kodak" with, er... "Kodak" :drama:), but I think it's funny. Corny chat-up lines galore. It's a club song, so having good lyrics is less important imo.

Don't forget ima and Britney Spears! :o :o

Not everything has to rhyme.

And while ima seems like a psychopath (if I'm talking about the right poster), Britney is just insanely $h!t this era. Probably worse than Ke$ha and that says something.

If you're a rapper, you're supposed to rhyme, at the very minimum the last syllable of each line! :o Which pretty much all rappers manage to do I think, apart from that guy who raps on Friday.

I really like Britney this era. She's done very well in the charts, and I think she's probably better than Ke$ha (although I don't think Ke$ha is bad either). Till the World Ends is my favourite song on her singles, and it's been absolutely massive in the US. Plus, Britney has had 2 #1s this year already, which only Katy Perry has been able to match so far. I love the music, and Britney is having great commercial success, and I Wanna Go is another certain top 10 hit imo.

ERICCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC, Where you're rihanna thing gone :o didn't realize it was you without it hahaha

Mabye the way she has been handled has been awful and her commercial performance hasn't been up to standard but honestly, I think that her material she is producing right now is probably the best of her career. Femme Fatale, although it has some awful songs, the standard of it is far higher than her previous albums, which I have always found very inconsisent.

Although, I do agree, Ke$ha is just awfulness at its worst.

I dunno. I don't like Rihanna anymore. I grew up and started liking proper music.

lol joking. Dunno, just felt like changing it to Fergie.   I'm sure I'll have a Rihanna picture again in a few weeks. :D

I like Ke$ha. She's like a more electro version of Avril Lavigne. I love Blah Blah Blah especially. It's got such a good beat, especially at the beginning. I like Blow (a bit like Till the World Ends, but I think Ke$ha wrote both songs so), My First Kiss (this has an awfully similar beat to Blah Blah Blah, I've noticed!!! :o :o) and Dirty Picture (this sounds like Benny Benassi) too.

Didn't notice you hahaha :P anyway i think we best get back on topic or can see us getting moaned at.. haha

I'm hearing the Soundgirl song for the first time!! :o :o

On an URBAN radio station!

EDIT: Oh, there's rapping in it. I thought it was a girl group. I guess they're a mixed group like the BEPs and N-Dubz then?

EDIT: No, it's 3 girls apparently. Must be an uncredited rapper then.

That'd be Mann who features on the song (although it's the non-Mann version that's charting).

The Mann version is track 1 on the EP so I'm going to consider that to be the 'single version'.

Oh wow! Could be his 2nd top 40 hit then! :D And then he could get another the week after!

It's quite a catchy song imo. Maybe it'll climb if it gets more promotion. This is only the first time I've heard it, so I'm not surprised it's not charted very high yet. I bet hardly anybody knows this song.

It's already quite well known amongst Buzzjackers. BJSC XXXIV - Final.

Watched the embedded video and 'Don't Know Why' appears amongst all the other tracks. :D

Maybe SoundGirl climbed up to #39 because it is now 79p?

I really hope they get pushed more by their label. Probably the girl-group to have the most potential since Girls Aloud. I like that they don't follow the trend of releasing half-arsed electro-pop.

I love Ke$ha, she has some great songs like TT, TIO, BBB, WRWWR. Her songs are very catchy. My favourite song by her by far would have to be 'Right Round', which does say something :coffee:

Last Friday Night @ 7 :) Wonder if it'll be enough to climb in top 10 officially tomorrow..especially with Spaceship  #14 already now, and will continue to fall..

Oh, I forgot Right Round! :o AMAZING. I agree. Probably her best song. Still holds the record for the highest first week digital sales in the US aswell. :D Such a tune.

I'll find Soundgirl a bit like the Sugababes

In what sense?

Starting off modestly to then grow into a successful girl-group? Being quite edgy with their debut material? Flopping with recent singles?
