I dunno who makes the decision on this. RFC set the limit on the first 4 contests. Do we come to some sort of group decision or is it upto the host?

33 is okay but I'd personally prefer that it never gets any higher than 30ish as we'll potentially get into BJSC semi final style numbers which is far too many in my opinion.

 

I'd rather have fewer songs that I stand a chance of getting to know better than loads of songs that I don't get the chance to listen to properly.

It's going to take a good two hours or more to hear each of 33 songs just once. We need to make sure we get the right balance between encouraging people to take part and making sure people have the time to judge the songs.

 

If you have received 30 songs before the deadline, perhaps you should just say that there is another 24 hours from then to enter.

I definitely don't want anything like semis in UP. I think 30 or thereabouts entries is a good number.

31 person confirmed, including Benji but he needs to choose another entry as the one he sent was already confirmed by somebody else (I PMed him 23 hours ago).

 

I can only count Harvey who was going to enter but hasn't, so I guess I'll wait for just another confirmation before closing this bitch (deadline now 7pm TODAY - only 10 more hours).

I set the limit as 30 after the second contest as there were 26 entrants first time and 31 second time and people said it was harder to vote. I personally don't mind, as long as we're voting for 12 again and we get at least a fortnight.

If you had a deadline date, then stick into it. If you wish to have the certain amount of participants then stick into that.. I know this because it's the same with the project I work for lol

I doubt we'll have 33 participants so i lowered the limit to 32. I, and seemingly everyone, would want a number as close to 30 as possible. As for the deadline, dragging it for 3 more days isn't really needed.

 

And surely if Ben confirmed then he was supposed to return at least to vote?

I am really looking forward to this, for some reason I think the standard is going to be really high.

It really is, in my personal opinion after listening to most of the tracks.
