Is there a chance the CDs will be distributed by tomorrow evening at the latest? I would love to take it with me for my trip.

For mine I collated the 80-odd songs that I've at one point been thinking of sending to the contest and cut it down to my favourite 21 of those, so it's a 'FSR Rontvia what could have been' type playlist. There should be something for everyone on there, I'll be interested to see who receives it. I publicly expressed that that would be my theme before so I have no qualms in sharing that, it's a great opportunity to try out the concept and finally get some of these gems out there!

I don't think fans of pure pop would be too pleased with mine, there's nothing overly obscure on there but it's all relatively uncommercial stuff that only grabs you after repeated listens.

 

I did self impose a theme too, which helped me gather together a set of fairly similar songs without making them too samey (hopefully). A good few are ones I had on my longlist for entry into BJSC but have removed for various reasons.

I've just gone with a playlist I'd happily listen to myself (and indeed have several times over in the past few days!) and one that makes a coherent whole, I don't do Now! style compilations - none of them are big singles or anything but there's a fair few that I'd imagine people knowing too. RFC for instance would probably know pretty much all of them, I'd imagine Rich, Pav and probably John would know a fair amount also.

 

It does contain three songs that I've very nearly entered into BJSC though so I'll be interested to see what people think of those.

Judging by the original deadline I am very late with this, but since you're still waiting on Tom I shall try and get mine in tonight. Should be PMed by 7pm at the latest as I'm heading out right now.

I basically went through my iTunes for some tracks I would've sent to BJSC and that came to 14/15 tracks, then I had a trawl through some of the obscure albums I have and threw them in. Whoever gets the CD should have a fair few discoveries anyway!

I tried trawling through iTunes for some hidden gems, but when you have 40,000+ songs it isn't that easy to do. Thankfully I had my trusty 'Rarities + Randoms' playlist at hand *.*

It's not too hard for me - I just pick the songs I am charting or have charted in the past year or whatever, since almost nobody will know them anyway :lol:

Yes that's probably for the best. I have tried to make my CD so the majority of people in this won't know many of them but they're songs which I do think everyone will like some of, at least I hope so. It's a very un-alternative alternative CD. I may be saying too much about it but I'm pretty sure most people would always guess it would be mine or yours if they received it. They may say Pavel's but then he's probably got songs that would make fans of Melodifestivalen all excited.
