Posted July 4, 201113 yr I was looking at Travis's chart runs the other day and I noticed that they had 7 consectutive singles which peaked higher than the previous single: Happy #38 More Than Us #16 Writing To Reach You #14 Driftwood #13 Why Does It Always Rain On Me #10 Turn #7 Coming Around #5 Sing #3 Side #14 Is this a record? Does anyone know of any other artists who can match (or better) this run? They must have been gutted when Side only made #14, they must have been expecting a #1!
July 4, 201113 yr Nicki Minaj has almost done it (although her first two singles peaked the same) Your Love - #71 Right Thru Me - #71 Moment for Life - #22 Girls Fall Like Dominos - #24 Super Bass - #12

July 4, 201113 yr Plus Check It Out peaked at 11 I was only including ones where Nicki was credited as the lead artist, otherwise it would look like this: Your Love - #71 2012 - #9 Check It Out - #11 Right Thru Me - #71 Moment 4 life - #22 Bottoms Up - #71 Girls Fall Like Dominos - #24 Where Dem Girls At - #3 Super Bass - #12
July 4, 201113 yr Whilst they didn't quite match Travis, 90s boyband Five never peaked lower than their previous effort in 7 releases! 10-4-3-2-2-2-1
July 4, 201113 yr Author Nicki Minaj has almost done it (although her first two singles peaked the same) Your Love - #71 Right Thru Me - #71 Moment for Life - #22 Girls Fall Like Dominos - #24 Super Bass - #12 That doesn't work cos GFLD peaked at #24 and MFL peaked at #22, and 24 is lower than 22.
July 4, 201113 yr Author I would say excluding Last Ones Standing & Two Lives. Every Example record has peaked higher than his debut Watch the sun come up in 2009. WTSCU - 19 WGQ - 09 Kickstarts - 03 Unorthordox Ft Wretch 32 - 02 Changed the way you kiss - 01 Yeah but it's a bit pointless excluding certain records, otherwise I'm sure there would be loads of examples!

July 4, 201113 yr That doesn't work cos GFLD peaked at #24 and MFL peaked at #22, and 24 is lower than 22. That's why I said she almost did it ;)

Supersonic 31 Shakermaker11 Live Forever 10 Cigarettes And Alcohol 7 Whatever 3 Some Might Say 1 Oh yeah, didn't even think of that Oasis run, that was pretty impressive. I reckon there must be an act who have had a 7 debut singles do that though.
