I didn't like this at all when I first heard it, and although I still think her voice doesn't sound great, especially in the 'boom boom baby' type bits, it has grown on me massively. I now far prefer it to 'Beat Of My Drum', which for me was great at the start but wore off so quickly, and I just think its a good catchy pop song. I think this should outpeak 'BOMD' and go top 20 at least, due to it not being On Air/On Sale, and I think a top 10 isn't even off the cards.

There are so many amazing things happening in that video. The dancing sperm on the wall. Her lack of trousers. The occasional knicker flash. The fact they hired backing dancers who only appear for 3 seconds. The fact she appears to get bored of lip-syncing at one point.

Love it.

This video is bad, like really. This dress makes me VOMIT, the effects are boring, cheap and tacky, the lack of a concept is shown as well.
They've overdone the colour effects, which makes hem look really cheap. If they used them less often it would have been better. But I do like it when she turns black and white, that could have been used more!

An EP is avaliable for pre-order on iTunes, the tracklisting:

1. Lucky Day

2. Lucky Day (Karaoke Version)

3. Lucky Day (Digital Dog Electro Radio Mix)

4. Fix Me

5. Cinderella's Eyes Mini Mix [Pre-Order Only]

All for only £1.49! :D

Oooh! a new B-side and a mix of the album :D
I just listened to this and I'm honestly wondering why she's incapable of making a decent song. She always has to do something to make it horrendous. I mean, what the hell is the "Waaa, Waa, Waaa" bit about? It's just awful.
Just hope it isn't all frontloaded again like BOMD. Looked so nice and shiny on the Tuesday and dived down :(

Definitely whacking out the dance steps at 1:25 when I'm walking down the street. <3

I've just seen this on Twitter...

NicolaRoberts We didn't have the budget! RT"@Pouchatron: Dear @nicolaroberts where are your trousers in your new video?"

She's so funny on Twitter, yet when it comes to her interviews, she's always really shy. :( Still loving this anyway! It's down to #25 on iTunes Albums, but it was pretty impressive for it to get to #13 or whatever anyway!

It's alright EP's always yoyo up and down the albums pre-order chart.

It looks like Nicola is releasing three formats for £6 on her official website, the tracklisting:

Signed CD

1. Lucky Day

Maxi-Single

1. Lucky Day

2. Fix Me

3. Lucky Day (Digital Dog Club Mix)

4. Lucky Day (RAW Club Mix)

7" Vinyl (Coloured Vinyl)

Side A: Lucky Day

Side B: Lucky Day (Ed Wilder Remix)

Pre-order here.

Seems a bit weird, seeing as they didn't do it for 'Beat of My Drum', but I shall purchase anyway.
No shipping of the signed CD or the entire bundle outside the UK <_< There was no problem ordering the signed BOMD and CE outside the UK. Strange.

Pre ordered it, as well as the download.

All that plus Cinderella's Eyes comes to just under £20. She is making me skint, but its worth it!

The more this whole single release SINKS IN the more I'm left thinking "what a twat". It all comes off as a bit MEANINGLESS and trying to live up to the musicality, couture and effervescence of POP music. It's good for HERE AND NOW but what will it mean it 2 months?

Perhaps the album will give it some perspective but in the meantime it lies in a very VAPID CORNER

I quite like the song, I strongly dislike the video, I quite like her.

The album will just be full of wishy-washy cool-pop though won't it?! She really needs her personality to come through on it. I don't think this song would be anywhere as appealing if it wasn't realised as a single. The only reason I like the 'Beat of my Drum' video is because she seems to be coming through on it so well. She needs to make sure she has the tunes to back her up though. Not that anyone's going to buy it mind...

Her pseudo-naivety is endearing to a certain degree... won't sell her many records though.

Pseudo-naievty or "covet thy neighbour"?! It's a bit too much BY NUMBERS for my taste at the moment. Each sort of MOMENT very much JARRING with the last. I just don't see a streamlined IDEA as of this moment. Lots of artists to like and imitate and ULTIMIATELY FLATTER but with very few results to show with the final product...
