August 4, 201113 yr Rihanna is great but doesnt deserve to be in the top 5. Beyonce doesnt deserve to win either but def deserves to be in the top 5 so I would rather she wins now.
August 4, 201113 yr I think Rihanna has it in the bag. She has ruled the charts with Loud so she would be a worthy winner this year imo. I think Beyonce has gained a lot of fans with her Glastonbury performance.
August 4, 201113 yr Great top 2, really. P!nk has some excellent songs, especially Sober and Who Knew, and I love how consistent she's been, but I like Beyonce and Rihanna a bit more. I would prefer Rihanna to triumph, and I'm guessing she might have. Would be a very deserved winner in my opinion.
August 4, 201113 yr Thank f*** Pink didn't win! I love both Rihanna and Beyonce, both in my top 5 but I'd like Rihanna to win!
August 4, 201113 yr Beyonce for the win so much more talented than Rihanna can see Rihanna winning though
August 4, 201113 yr The TRUE winner: http://images.buddytv.com/articles/rtblackbday.jpg *agrees 100%*
August 4, 201113 yr surely rihanna will win. her music pummels beyonce's efforts. after all, I can't really think of one of her songs which is on par with the cack that is 'run the world (girls)'. :puke:
August 4, 201113 yr Run The World (Girls) is amazing -_- Rihanna has a slightly better discography, but either would be a fantastic winner really, fantastic top 2!
August 5, 201113 yr I was shocked Pink was so high last year and the same again now. I never really see her as a huge artist for some reason and I'm surprised she has so many fans on here especially. Looking at her back catalogue I like a lot of her stuff though I just never knew she was so big. Don't kill me please Trouble
August 5, 201113 yr I love Pink, but I've really gone off her with 'Raise Your Glass' / 'Perfect' ... they're both so ridiculously safe and like they were tailored for commercial radio, and don't seem to have much personality in either. They're decent songs but I hope it's not a sign of what's to come with the next album.'Raise Your Glass' and 'Perfect' fitted in with her "sound" from previous years and were used to sell her greatest hits. I couldn't think of any other better tracks than to launch her greatest hits with tbh. I wish there was a video for 'Heartbreak Down' though. Incredible song  I do hope she develops her sound a little more with album 6 though. 'Funhouse' did it perfectly in '08 (whilst still sticking to her trademarked "pop/rock" sound). I'd like to another step up. (Even if I do think Kelly C does what she does slightly better - But them two should hurry the f*** up and get on with a duet! :manson:) Also P!nk always seems to surprise when it comes to these countdowns. She somehow doesn't seem to be as big as her success says, otherwise. It's fascinating. Rihanna and Beyoyo top 2? Hopefully Rihanna slays her. Beyoncé is incredibly hit and miss and (more times than not) extremely overrated as an artist. Rihanna's developing and moving with every era perfectly. She has one of the best back catalogues ever imo. Yes the first two albums weren't very good, but I'd say they're still decent albums to start off a career. She's going from strength to strength and each album is better than the last. It's what every artist needs to attempt to accomplish. Something which Beyoncé is yet to do, imo.
August 5, 201113 yr It's strange because the idea of Rihanna beating Beyoncé baffles me (I would definitely put her ahead of Rihanna), but then when you actually look their back catalogues... Rihanna's is much stronger. I feel like Beyoncé is on the road to an almost undeserved "legend" status (like the stans say) because of her general stage presence, talent etc but the music has never really been anything more than acceptable.
August 5, 201113 yr Yeah I totally agree, musically Rihanna is better. I do personally love Beyonce's music, don't get me wrong but it's not so varied as Rihanna's. For example, Rihanna goes from Europop (Only Girl) to dancehall influenced R&B (What's My Name) to ballads (California King Bed) to reggae (Man Down) all on one album! 4 is an incredibly strong album but Beyonce isn't quite as musically diverse as Rihanna on it, well I'll give her going from I Was Here to Run The World (Girls) on one album but Run The World aside 4 is a mellow album in tone, even the uptempos like Party have a somewhat 'chilled' vibe about them. So I love both, they're in my top 5 singers ever, but Rihanna is slightly better for me. Though of course Beyonce is a better vocalist and performer, Rihanna also has a lovely and powerful voice (especially this era, you can hear how she's improved when she performs California King Bed live) and can put on a damn good show as well.
August 5, 201113 yr I do think '4' is her best album thus far (not that it would be difficult) but it's all been done before. I can't think of one time where Beyoncé really pushed the envelope and did something truly innovative, something someone with "legend status" (and at the top of this list) should have done at least once in their career. What has she really brought to music? Honestly? Not much. Edited August 5, 201113 yr by ▲▲▲
August 5, 201113 yr Much as I love her, I agree again. She doesn't bring anything innovative like actual 'legends' do - she is no doubt a superstar but I don't think she's at legend status quite yet, it'll take another few (innovative) albums that show growth and variation but keep the quality shown in I Am and 4.

Indeed. She's definitely going to be heralded as one of the best musicians of this generation but considering the massive talent she obviously has... her music is just so perfectly unremarkable.
August 5, 201113 yr Britney got top 5... and I didn't even vote. The LOON of Buzzjack. Suck my cock bitches.
August 5, 201113 yr Author This may seem weird but Beyonce reminds me a lot of Mariah Carey. Beyonce's material is evidently FAR better but the two of them are considered amongst the greats but looking at their musical output it is really baffling to understand why.
