I still don't fully understand the OCC's exact rules with these sorts of things. Is it that when the lead artist is credited differently they are left separate but when the featured artist changes they are combined? Hence Katy Perry/Kanye's E.T. combined with the sales of Katy's solo version. Yet Mark/Amy's Valerie isn't combined with Amy's solo version, however if Amy's solo version had for example featured as a b-side on Mark's Valerie EP then sales would all be combined?

What is the difference (if any) between the two versions of Valerie - Amy solo and Mark ft. Amy? Because IIRC, they are both identical, therefore should be combined for chart purposes.

 

Whereas BTB and BTB(D) are clearly different as the Deluxe album contains additional tracks, and therefore should chart separately.

 

Amy's solo version is more 'acoustic' and less polished than Mark's version.
