I deffo think The Saturdays or Pixie should be number 1 on 4 Sept, I prefer All Fired Up though so ideally that'll be number 1. I can't see any of the new releases being number 1 though, except maybe Leona and (although I've not heard all of Freedom by Sugababes) Collide is the worst of the 4 imo, though I still really like it. I think it'll go:

1. Example

2. Leona

4. The Saturdays

6. Pixie Lott

14. Sugababes

It's not really relevant already, as the Sugababes were pushed back to September, 19th (!!!), according to Jade. But I'd still place them somewhere between #13 and 25 for their new single, although I like it.

And I think they could go on air / on sale: they have shot the video already and still haven't premiered the song on the radio. It seems they will do a 'Notorious' with their release with hopefully a better promotion.

And the new Saturdays song is brilliant. Yes, it's generic, but this exact song is 100% what I needed not just from them but from anybody today.

Do you think Wynter Gordon will be in this weeks' Top 40? It is currently no.37 on iTunes and I have seen it drop no lower than no.41.

Wonder if Katy can get a new peak officially tomorrow - probably will be #8.

Looks like it will be J.Lo's last week in the top 40 with IIY. When is 'Papi' released?

I hope Papi flops and misses the top 40 tbh.

Hitz up to #43! :cheer:

Pitbull up to #8.

I wouldn't go that far but it's overrated by J.Lo fans.

The first 30 seconds (mainly the first 20 seconds before the typical Stargate-esque music comes in) are absolutely brilliant!

Then the song turns to something underwhelming.

I don't think it's that bad, but it sounds the same as Nicole Scherzinger's next song, and it sounds like Tik Tok, Alejandro, Dynamite, On the Floor, etc. Just kind of annoying.

I'd probably absolutely love the song if it came out in 2009.

Yeah I know what you mean. It's getting tedious now. We've had two years of recycled Stargate/RedOne hits. That's why I prefer ballads in general - it's harder to rip-off a ballad without making it sound EXACTLY the same.

I think 'Papi' will go top 20. Probably #13. J.Lo gets so much promotion on the music channels - everyday I see either IIY or OTF on MTV, 4Music, Viva, The Box, Smash Hits, ChartHits etc. I think the music channels will boost 'Papi' high top 20 definitely.

I really don't know about Nicole Scherzinger's 'Wet' though. I think it could do a 'Work' by the Saturdays - i.e. hit material yet somehow fails to go top 20.

Stargate are fine though. They've produced lots of good ballads before, and RnB songs, and even some hip hop songs. RedOne doesn't seem very versatile tbh...

Stargate produced With You by Chris Brown, Miss Independent by Ne-Yo, Unfaithful by Rihanna, Irreplaceable by Beyonce, and so on.

Come to think of it, Nicole and Jennifer seem to mirror each other with their releases this era - both in terms of success and sound.

On The Floor/Don't Hold Your Breath - both UK #1s, both have that electro-pop RedOne sound (OTF is produced by RedOne afterall).

I'm Into You/Right There - both widely seen as 'What's My Name?' clones. Both have that Urban/Caribbean sound and both have been moderately successful (top 10) - especially with guest rapper features.

Papi/Wet - both sound like OTF/DHYB, both unoriginal sounding.

Love?/Killer Love - both have gone low top 10 in the UK despite selling modestly (even though they've both had a few successful hits on each album).

Along with those, they have both benefited from TV talent shows with Jennifer being on American Idol and Nicole getting all of the XF USA coverage as well as performing on both XF and BGT.

Quite surprised at how much they have in common.

Rihanna aswell, kind of, since she released Only Girl - club banger, What's My Name? (which sounds like What's My Name?, obviously ), and then S&M, like Only Girl and unoriginal sounding.

Nicole's era so far has been very "Interscope" aswell, I noticed.

Is Papi getting a release then? I think it's incredible! The Introduction -

I like the introduction. The song would be so good if it was like that all the way through imo.

'Papi' is incredible. It's probably my favourite J Lo song to date. I'm just not getting bored of it at all. I'm glad she's made it to being pretty relevant again as she had so much potential back in the days, but some things were just missing for her to connect with me. But I think she's done it this time

You really do have antiquated, silly and quite frankly rubbish ideas.

A song is a song and for each unit it sells, it should count as one unit towards the chart compilation, regardless of who bought it.

What makes you qualified to decide who should be allowed to buy song units to contribute towards the chart?

maybe older songs should up their download price as they are clearly top 75 simply because of the 59p price....why is i need a dollar up to 11 by the way?

167. Chris Brown ft. Lil Wayne & Busta Rhymes - Look At Me Now - I saw this thing on FOX News from a few days ago where these women were slating this song! :o

214. Game ft. Chris Brown - Pot of Gold - I wish this was doing better. :(

320. Justin Bieber ft. Jaden Smith - Never Say Never - This was qutie catchy, to be fair.

331. Justin Bieber ft. Ludacris - Baby - A bit boring really. I think Justin will look back on this song when he's older and really cringe at it. I almost feel bad for him.

349. Benny Bennassi ft. Gary Go - Cinema (Shrillex Remix)

377. Usher ft. will.i.am - OMG

407. David Guetta ft. Kid Cudi - Memories - One of my favourite David Guetta songs. And Kid Cudi is just an amazing artist in general.

617. Rizzle Kicks - Prophet - I hope their song with Olly Murs becomes a bit hit. It's sooooo good. Listened to it loads the past 24 hours!

895. Big Sean ft. Chris Brown - My Last - This song is brilliant. Tragic that it isn't a hit here. :(

903. Taio Cruz - Break Your Heart :puke:

you dont watch fox news eric???itll melt your brain!!

you dont watch fox news eric???itll melt your brain!!

Yeah, me and Fox news...um, yeah, we evidently have slightly different outlooks on life (and music)! :o

the arguement earlier about JTWYA was hilarious...so what if real life isnt like how bruno describes it in his song...thats what art is sometimes brillant for getting away from the pains of reality...its like saying all hollywood movies are real when they clearly arent but who cares its the way some people want it to be so let them like it!!
