Hope JOH can get top 10 before the weekend!

Shocked at how far Example and Derulo have fallen even if they do have another version.

I know what you mean, but songs can fall really fast when another version comes out. For example, the single version of Rolling in the Deep fell from withing the top 10 to out of the top 40 in the space of 1 week when the album was released. So Example and Jason Derulo's falls don't seem that much compared to it.

Looking forward to seeing Who's Laughing Now to start climbing up the chart. :dancing:

Jar Of Hearts is beautiful, and so is Christina. I love Lea Michelle's version too, incredible.

Jessie J is performing it on Alan Carr tomorrow, should give it a nice boost!

Wet up to 197, the video having a small effect so far

Edited by suspects2001

I thought you liked Nicole, Eric :(?

I do. I love her, (especially Right There, one of my favourite songs of the year so far), but I just don't like the song. The chorus is really good in Wet I think, but I'm still kind of pissed off that she's doing all these pop songs. I can't believe she's the same person that once did the likes Don't Cha, Beep and Buttons. What's happened to her? Whatever it is, I don't like it. I hope it flops and she goes back to her old music.

Am I the only person slightly enjoying Nicole Scherzinger's 'Wet'. Sure it's an even worse imitation of a Rihanna song, but I think it'll easily be picked up by R1 and crack the T20. Here was me saying 'Right There' would fail to reach T20 and it peaked at #3 - so I'm willing to accept 'Wet' may actually do well.
I don't like Wet either, Don't Hold Your Breath and Right There were great songs, Wet is rather disappointing imo

I love Wet, it's one of the best on the album. It IS a weaker version of Only Girl but still it's brilliant!

Wet is good for w*** fodder to be fair.

But other than that, I doubt I'll listen to it much. I haven't actually listened to her whole album, but is everything on there except Right There club bangers then? If that's the case, fair enough I guess.

I love Nicole Scherzinger and Wet is one of many gems on her album :) I reckon it will be another top 5 hit for her

What's happened to her? Err... she left the Pussycat Dolls?

She's a pop artist. Besides, PCD was pretty much pop anyway. I don't see a huge shift in genres, considering 'Right There' is quite R&B.

And why would she go back to a genre that flopped when she has had three top 3 hits with her current sound?

Even if 'Wet' flopped, which it won't, she wouldn't go back to the R&B stuff. She'd just record a new pop song.

For me, when I love an artist but don't like their latest single then I would still support them, as I would want them to make their mark and make sure they have as much success as possible to have a lasting career. Nicole especially, has only recently found major success after a massive flop, so I wouldn't be wishing her to flop yet if I loved her.

For the record I think Nicole will get to around #12 officially. 'Wet' is a little more commercial than 'Right There' and considering 'RT' was going to peak at #14 without BGT, then I think 'Wet' will get to around #12, and may well be one of the songs that hang around #11 on iTunes for ever.

Songs fall and climb all the time. I remember Airplanes kept climbing and falling on iTunes all the time before it went into the top 10. So just because Right There fell a few places on iTunes, that's no reason why it couldn't have climed afterward.

Today's top 100 update (8pm positions)

Three new entries today and all three are 59p songs. Enrique Iglesias feat. Ludacris and DJ Frank E's Tonight (I'm F**kin' You) enters at #57. Meh. For some reason iTunes has decided to reduce a different version of 'Chasing Cars' by Snow Patrol (this one from their greatest hits collection 'Up To Now'), apparently forgetting there's already a 59p one. Nonetheless, the 'new' one enters at #80 as the other plummets from 51 to 92. The other new entry is slightly less depressing and generally terrible and it comes from Madonna whose classic 'Like A Prayer' enters at #97. There are a couple of 59p songs re-entering - Cee Lo Green feat. Wiz Khalifa's 'Bright Lights Bigger City' at #62 and Wilson Phillips' 'Hold On' at #68 - and 3 other random re-entries from Adele ('Make You Feel My Love', #88), Lady Gaga (the Now! 79 version of 'Born This Way', #98) and Jessie J feat. B.o.B (the album version of 'Price Tag', #100). Nicola Roberts, Beyoncé, Swedish House Mafia, Living Colour, Amy Winehouse, Beyoncé (again), Tinchy Stryder and Caro Emerald have entries dropping out to accomodate the 8 top 100 entries.

I hope Wet is a hit for Nicole, slowly rising now, up to 194, I'm glad she's proved all her doubters wrong!

I honestly don't think it would have outpeaked #14. I think it was at #13 on iTunes a couple of days before and in 2 days it fell all the way down to #20, it was really starting to fall rapidly.

Wet wasn't produced by David Guetta but it's very David Guetta! :o

Still didn't see the official video though. Could someone please post the You Tube link?

Yeah. It sounds very much like Sexy Chick to me. :(

Yeah. I do remember after BGT actually, every time iTunes updated for like an hour after the performance she kept dropping more and more. I was like :drama:

But the 50 Cent version could've been climbing then. It did almost get top 20 at one point. It's like what happened with E.T. The solo album version got to #11 on iTunes while the Kanye version wasn't selling much, but then the solo version started falling for some reason and the Kanye version took over.

Produced by StarGate then I assume? A lot of their productions are very 'wannabe Guetta'.

EDIT: It actually is
