Thought it was about time we had a topic for Cher Lloyd! She's been signed to SyCo (probably for her UK release) and Roc Nation (Jay-Z's label, probably to launch her Stateside). Really, REALLY looking forward to hearing stuff from her! She's had meetings with Will.I.Am (also wouldn't sign the contract with SyCo unless Will had some involvement - apparently!) and most recently, LIL WAYNE! Seems like they're serious about pushing her Stateside!

EXCITING!

She's been seen lunching with RedOne too so I guess he's on board. It could be decent if those producers give her their best stuff but usually when working with Brits they just toss them the rejects from their sessions with bigger US artists.
She's a hugely pretentious brat, but I'll be willing to give her a listen as I hated Diana personality wise as well and her stuff was decent. She was pictured in Heat with a necklace saying ''Get your Cher on'', CRINGE.
As the series went on I actually warmed to her (strictly performance wise) and '369' was actually possibly one of my favourite performances of the whole series... shame she has such a vile personality but ALAS, I shall still give her a chance as she did kind of win me over.

She was HORRIBLE

I love how you're all presuming she's urban too. I'm hoping she comes out with a rock song :kink:

I diskiled her for the most part, but I know she was certainly capable when she actually sung and didn't attempt to rap. If she comes out with decent stuff, leaves her 'rapping' behind and actually adopts a likeable personality I might be willing to give it a go.

Either way, it looks like I've got to endure seeing her at G-A-Y next month!

Oh don't get me wrong, I don't see her as R&B at all, she should be in the pop forum. Especially considering she was booed off stage by her 'fanbase' (the urban crowd at a Tinie gig) :kink:

Actually can't wait for this! Her and Lil' Wayne?! Amazing! :o

I have high hopes so I'm really hoping the material doesn't disappoint.

I think this sounds really promising! Hopefully she delivers!

Sorry, each to their own, but to me that sounds like the polar opposite of "amazing".

I loved her audition/at bootcamp, but as the live shows began I was put off her more and more every week.

I think it was her attitude more than anything that annoyed as her performances were pretty decent, although the rapping was average imo

Interested to see what type of music she brings out though

Really suprised to see her working with Red One already and Lil Wayne :o

Lil' Wayne is incredible!

One of my favourite songs ever.

She's done half of the album already apparently lol... so that would mean all these 'big' names have passed her old rejected songs as in less than a month I doubt they would have been able to come up with 6/7 new songs for her.

Is she confirmed working with Lil Wayne? I can't see them working on a track together. All the urbanites hate her.

In the UK they do.

In the US she's an unknown, and besides Lil' Wayne will literally jump on anybody's track for a few grand.

I'm still failing to comprehand the interest from Jay Z and the others, she just seems like such an embarassement to me in all departements. The 'Stay' performance on X-Factor was brilliant but otherwise just, no frankly. Personality wise, she's level with The Vickers for being odious and awful in that departement.

I imagine being labelled as a British Nicki Minaj but will just end up sounding like Avril/Miley trying to rap, and doing it baddly at that.

Really loved her on XF, so can't wait to hear what she comes out with! Hopefully something a bit unexpected. I did like her less towards the end, but she was my second fave of the series overall after Rebecca
