Sorta looking forward to her. She was awful on x factor quite frankly. Never recovered from her audition and i only liked her performance of Stay and she never even rapped that. With music she likes actually being given to her and what sounds like a great team working with him, she could be very good. But with bad press surrounding her, she needs to lay low till the new album. She is becoming diva without even selling one single record.

I'm not sure what you're basing that on. Isn't Cherly's album already double platinum? Even despite The Flood flopping the album sold well over Christmas. Cher would be exceptionally lucky to sell better than Diana, never mind as well as Cherly.

really looking forward to her material - I think she is very different from the typical X Factor star (in fact the whole final 4 were, great series) and I hope she does well with it- although I hope its better than Diana's career :(

I could actually see Cher doing better in other countries than in the UK.

She's just too hated here. She's really, really hated. So hated that if she looks to be heading for #1, I could see campaigns being started to stop her (as in everybody buy the 2nd best-selling song). People already have decided they hate her. They've already decided her music will be terrible. They've already decided not to buy her songs, so these people, no matter what Cher comes out with, won't support her.

In other countries, people will be more open-minded about it all. In other countries, it'll be more "I'll buy it if I like it", meaning if she comes out with something good, it'll sell. Especially in foreign-language countries. If she can get on the radio, then she'll sell fine, but in other English-speaking countries, if the Cher haters see Cher's doing well, they'll do all they can to stop her, via the Internet (e.g. youtube Cher hate campaigns).

Seriously, I think some people are under-estimating just how hated Cher is. :( She's probably more hated than Cheryl, JLS, Justin Bieber, etc. :(

Really curious to hear her material and see what songs and video's she'll release! :)

Really?

I don't get where all the negativity that surrounds her.... I never got the impression she was a brat or a diva or whatnot. I just got the impression that she was a bit misguided.

The biggest problem with Cher was that for some reason Cheryl thought Cher's first audition was rapping - she said on one of the finals something to the effect of; "people liked Cher's first audition and that had rap in it, so that's why she's rapping." The truth is though that she didn't rap in her first audition - Keri Hilson's Turn My Swag On is an RnB song, not a rap song. And that was the problem, most of her songs in the finals were hip hop with lame raps instead of hot RnB songs.

Personally, I'm excited to see what she releases. I just hope it's something like Keri's Get Your Money Up. She has the potential to hit the same nail on the head that Keri Hilson's solo career has constantly missed.

Well I meant on a worldwide scale, I mean if the girl's got Lil' Wayne on a track, she's already secured a top 20 US hit.

she can have lil wayne ...... but if a collab with jay z, kanye, drake or even nicki minaj are mentioned :nono:

YES. YES. YES! Completely agree 100%. Particularly the part about her "rapping". '3-6-9' was also a fantastic performance, which was an RnB song and wasn't particularly a rap song either. Even if she did use a bit of Missy Elliott. I got really annoyed with them constantly trying to make her out as a rapper, when in fact she isn't THAT good at rapping. She's alright, but it isn't what made her the X Factor star she would have liked to have been. Them trying to make her out to be some rapper (and even making her believe she was!) is what turned the rest of the public against her I feel.
I'm not sure she's necessarily worked with Lil Wayne? All she said when she posted it was that it was good to meet him or something. The fact they're in a studio and stuff makes it look like a possibility, but I'm not sure. One person she has confirmed working with since then is Kevin Rudolf, could be interesting. I'm really looking forward to seeing what she comes up with!

Apparently she's also rumoured to be working with Livvi Franc. There's a pic about on the web somewhere, but the one I got Buzzjack won't let me post so, YA KNOW! -_-

Could be interesting I guess. Although Livvi owes Jason Nevins her life, otherwise I wouldn't be bothered

Livvi Franc  Automatic was an amazing hit that never was! Should've been huge! Now I'm That Bitch should've been far bigger too :) She could write a really good song for Cher, NITB is similair to the sort of artist I want Cher to be!
:puke2: urgh the pikey chav seems to be getting more money invested in her deal than the winner. As if Red One or Lil Wayne would have been interested in this sour looking toxic bratz doll without Simon paying big bucks. Willow Smith is more R & B than her <_< :puke2: :puke2: :puke2:

She could do Cher a good tune. Livvi franc has written good tunes for Cheryl Cole and Jordin sparks. Well i think they are good tunes.

She was naff as a solo artist.

Lil Wayne is only interested in making awful music and money (and cough medicine) so of course he'd be interested in her..

she really is the new diana - she has her fans and her haters. she's very love/hate, which could affect how successful she is.

personally, I think she's great. my third favourite of the series behind katie and aiden. I think her work will be great. :D

Glad she knows what direction she wants to take with her music and there's no point in flogging something, if you're unhappy with it. I like the fact she won't be taken as a fool and doesn't look easy to walk over and wants to do what SHE wants to do. I hate how the report is making her out to be a "diva" and putting a slight negative on things just because she's not happy with the material, that she will (more than likely) be touring and promoting with etc...
