INTERESTING

 

They've just uploaded a video to their site called INNI which I'm guessing means they're finally off hiatus. Even though Meo was only out in 08 it seems like ages ago especially with Jonsi doing his own thing inbetween but it's good to finally be having some stuff from the band because I tend to prefer that material much more.

Still, very nice indeed to have them back. I'm not exactly brimming with excitement at the prospect after the solo album but I'm still very much interested...

I think Go is quite a brilliant little album, more so the Icelandic songs but there's nothing bad on there. And against my better judgement I adore Animal Arithmetic.

Animal Arithmetic was my favourite too as it happens. Go on the whole didn't ever really grab me though, I missed the epic tracks too much.

 

One of my dreams is to travel around Iceland to a soundtrack of Sigur Rós and Björk, I imagine it would be beautiful.

Með was brilliant. Another Inni mer syngur and Ara batur and I'll be PLEASED.

I prefer the sweeping epics on the earlier albums but Takk and Með aren't without their charms, it's just easier to cherrypick tracks from them wheras I would tend to listen to ( ) and Aegytis Byrjun from start to finish.

 

My #1 Sigur Rós track is Untitled 3 though.

Untitled 3 is by far my favourite too, and one of my favourite songs by any artist, in fact.

I think Meo is probably my favourite on the whole though Agaetis Byrjun having Staralfur on it automatically makes it incredible regardless of the rest of the tracks. The performance of it in Heima made me fall in love with that song so much.

So it turns out this is a FILM. Not gonna lie, would have definitely preferred more music (although we may get a soundtrack or something?)

It's a bit random surely releasing a CD/DVD of a show they did FOUR YEARS ago?

It's one of my ambitions to see this band heavily toxicated at an open air festival. Would be epic!
