Probably weeping at the fact that people are choosing such an obvious, unoriginal track to perform on X-Factor.

I would say obvious... but unoriginal? - no one on XF would've performed it in the past as it was only released this year

Big Brother was also what got One Day Like This that one week it had in the top 40, iirc.

One Day Like This has had five weeks in the top 40, entering on four separate occasions, but no higher than #35. It made #39 on release but Big Brother was the cause of one of the other entries.

The official release is 29th August, same as Ed Sheeran, Example, Cover Drive, Belle Amie, Jessie J, Nicole Scherzinger, Katy B and James Morrison. I think Bruno, Ed and Example could be another all new top 3 (Ed Sheeran will probably be number 1). Jessie J and Nicole Scherzinger should probably be low top 10, maybe James Morrison too. Katy B and Cover Drive probably top 40 and Belle Amie will probably either just sneak in or totally miss out.

That wouldn't be an all new top 3 though because Marry You has been charting for ages already :P

What do you mean 48 hour chart?

The iTunes chart is a weighted 48-hour rolling chart (in other words it covers sales from the last 48 hours with more emphasis on more recent sales)

-x-

 80. She Will (feat. Drake) - Lil Wayne

This will be Lil Wayne's 27th top 100 hit! It's amazing how many hits he's racked up without ever being a particularly big/popular artist in the UK :o

I knew it was 48 hours, but how do you know it is weighted towards more recent sales?

I think it's right. I really don't know how to explain it mathematically, but intuitively :D it seems to be just like that. I think Bray will give a lot of examples why we came to this conclusion, I'm in bad mind ATM.

We don't 'know' per se but that seems to be highly likely from comparing Monday release iTunes performance and Tuesday mids - even if a song is #1 on iTunes at the cutoff point for the Tuesday mids, it'll almost certainly be lower on the actual mids despite having apparently sold the most in the first 48 hours because the Monday sales count more to its bar than the Sunday sales (which are obviously 0).

Maroon 5 are at no.2 and no.99, I so hope it makes no.1 officially but I would also be happy with it making no.2

I hope Cover Drive go top 10, I love it. It'll likely go top 20 because of the Capital/TV support.

I meant as in never been in the top 3, I suppose I did word it wrong :P It probably won't get that far anyway just yet, top 10 next week for sure obviously.

74 Lil Wayne ft Drake/ She Will

104 Sean Kingston/ Party All Night (Sleep All Day)

144 Lady GaGa/ You And I

Isn't that Sean Kingston song ANCIENT? (Surprised it's so high even if it isn't though, it may be a bit morbid but perhaps his accident is helping his sales...)

Gaga not doing particularly well, at this rate it could become her first single to miss the top 20 (not counting Video Phone) :o Nah, I'm sure it'll pick up.

BOO @ Maroon 5 increasing so much from one tiny play on Big Brother -_-

Sean Kingstons song is featured heavily in the End Credits of the Inbetweeners Movie where there is still movie footage being shown which keeps all movie watchers watching these last few scenes, where the whole song is played.

Ah, I see. I wish I could go see that movie but alas it'll be out of the cinemas when I turn 15 in November

Could you not just lie about your age? :P Or get some older friend to buy the tickets.
