I hate how everyone is going on about how different she is and how its such a new sound?! She sounds the same as Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Alesha Dixon, Sheryl Cole and countless other boring, produced, pop rubbish.

 

To be fair, I've not really heard many people say that.

 

Btw, Price Tag got its radio premiere on 1st January on the year-end Big Top 40 Show, so it makes sense that the song will be released as part of the instand download thing starting in February.

 

I'm a bit worried that Price Tag might do too well too early though, and that she'll get over-exposed. I mean, people are already fed up of her, and she hasn't really even done anything yet. :( It's just the media talk about her a lot at the moment.

I see your point regarding that but it's just drumming up more interest. There is nothing about her annoying. It allows people to discover more songs form her who probs didn't like do it like a dude. She is in the press about her career not irelevent stuff and she has thankfully not been caught out saying stupid remarks about other artists.

I don't think that many people are fed up of her really ... it's just people on BuzzJack make it seem that way. Everyone I know who wouldn't usually like her kind of music seems to sort of like her.

I've not met, or talked to a person who dislikes Jessie, nor have a read any negative comments made about her, outside of Buzzjack. ^_^

Just heard the devlin version. The arrangement is very different and is a bit horrible. Makes it sound a mess. I hope the BOB version makes the album.

So this is being released next week :o Imo I think it's a smart move as the song will gain momentum a bit like Do It Like A Dude and stay in the charts for a while rather than being frontloaded

Exactly. It's so bland... I don't get how this is meant to be the "sound" of 2011...if so, we're in for a year of boring middle of the road pop.

 

I feel like Jessie J is being treated like the the other "sound of" females; Marina, Ellie, Little Boots, Florence, La Roux, basically as someone scenester and trendy. But Jessie J is more Pixie Lott than any of those. Bland and safe. I don't understand her appeal at all.

Just tried to think of the most hated person on Buzzjack. :lol:

 

But I mean, think about how long OMG would've been at #1 last year if all songs were released during their radio premiere. This Ain't a Love Song got #1 before OMG, and I doubt that would've been #1 if they couldn't frontload it. Once came after, and that definitely would not have got to #1, and would've probably peaked back in January. Good Times also probably might not have got #1, and even if it did, OMG could've been like a whole month at #1, potentially, maybe more.

 

I'm fine with this. OMG is a decent song, but I can foresee a lot of potential urpoar on here, when some US Urban songs take over the #1 spot. And then there'll be people who're like "Oh, remember the days when songs used to sell more than 100,000 in one week?".

 

I'm glad Price Tag is released next week, but please people, don't whine if it gets beaten to #1 in a few weeks by some US gangsta rap song or something! :lol:

Released on my sister's/Lady GaGa's birthday :D From the songs I've heard so far, I'm very excited. Should be better than the albums by Ellie Goulding, Little Boots etc. The cover isn't too bad but it could be better.
