August 19, 201113 yr Author Is there a list of the best sellers of the decade over there? I'd imagine Taio, Train and Katy (CG) would have the top 3. Digital sales started slowly and at some point in the noughties, so the best selling digital songs occurred in the time period you're interested in - link here. www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=105177
August 19, 201113 yr It's good to see Foster The People Top 10 in the US.. Could his be the first signs of a slight change (for the better) in public music taste.. With Adele being number 1 for such a long time and now Foster The People going Top 10 things are looking better for decent indie/pop tunes.. Now let's get rid of Guetta /Perry/ Pitbull and all and things would be rosy ;-)
August 19, 201113 yr Yay @ Dev, The Script, Tinie Tempah, Adele, Jason Derulo all climbing/debuting. :D (anyone know how The Script's album done in the US? I know it went to #3 but it had a horrible chart run did it not?)

Of course something like White Christmas which has been released zillion times has sold probably more but of the ones we are sure about these might be the top two sellers of all time. I think Party Rock Anthem and Give Me Everything are going to mark the end of this ridiculous phase of music we've been through. :puke: And we'll go back to having a variety of genres at the top of the charts. Rock and RnB music, in particular, are very absent at the moment, but I think they'll make a comeback, because dance pop just gets boring quickly. There's really not much you can do with it without everything sounding exactly the same.
