"Lungs" would have been a truly amazing 10-track album, so very interested in her comeback. November release = gigantic sales if she gets it right, I'm guessing we'll get a second single before then :D

Based on one listen, what a fabulous song. It's already top 40 on iTunes so there's hope for a big hit :wub:

It's good! I do like some of her songs but her shrill voice can wear very thin at times, whereas on here it's a bit more restrained and easier on the ear.

I guess it's a proper single then?! It will be interesting to see how it pans out! To be honest I didn't think she had enough of a fanbase to get a single top 10 on iTunes.

It's good! Nothing OMG WOW AMAZING, possibly I had too much expectation, as I really did love all the singles from 'Lungs'. It's more than likely a grower for me, but then I don't have a desire to replay it... :(

I think it is much better than anything on the first album except maybe Cosmic Love. There's no shouting in it, it develops well, it's layered and it's a grower. I love it.

Oh, I definitely prefer her 'shouty' songs. 'Drumming Song' and 'Hurricane Love' are my two faves from 'Lungs'. I do like the new one, I just don't really have an urge to play it still.

I think it's a bit of a MISFIRE. It's all atmosphere for the sake of atmosphere with very little actual DEPTH.

What is wrong with that? The build up is great and insidious. I think this is a wonderful progression from earlier material.

I think this is a brilliant single! :D Not as commercial as some of the stuff from the last album but just as brilliant. :)

 

Her voice isn't as overpowering on this either as some of her previous stuff.

Agreed. I'm not gonna pass judgement until I hear the album though. It has A LOT to live up to.

This has grown on me even more - I don't think I've heard such a beautifully haunting song before. It by far is my favourite single by far from her. Followed by Drumming Song (Which I love), Cosmic Love, Heavy In Your Arms, You've Got The Love, Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up) and lastly Dog Days which I find just alright.
