You can't really predict anything with The Sats. Usually their traditional releases are always extremely front loaded (If This Is Love, Forever Is Over, Missing You), yes, but have people forgotten how long Up, Ego, Issues and Higher lasted in the charts? If their song is good enough, it'll hang around.

Up peaked first week then dropped

Ego was released when the album was already released so it wasn't front loaded

Issues was the same wasn't it?^

Higher was the same as Ego

Yes but they all stuck around for ages (ie rather than falling like 9 places each week they only fell 2 or 3), especially Ego, which is actually their highest selling single.

3 of them were album climbers though, most album sellers stick for ages

What's with all the negetivity in here? -_-

I think some people can't face facts that The Saturdays right now are doing better than Pixie and Leona. I say right now because this could go either way. It could for all we know do another 'Missing You' like last year and be ahead in the Mids by a few thousand coppies right untill the last minute.

I'm suprised Leona is only at #10! I thought she'd be alot higher considering she performed on Red or Black last night. If that's anything to go by, maybe Pixie wont benefit much from it as well?

It went 5 - 6 - 7, selling 30K each week and spent a total of 18 weeks in the top 40.

Yes, the other three were album tracks but the point i'm making is that it's unfair to dismiss All Fired Up just because the other traditional releases plummeted. AFU is much superior to the likes of Missing You, If This Is Love and Forever Is Over.

Exactly!

And it's not as if it's impossible for them to break the trend?

I think Pixie will benefit more from the performance than Leona, as it's already there and can only climb from its current position. If a track is performed prior to release the effect isn't as great (if that makes sense?).

Yes, exactly what i've been saying aswell.

Great to see Leona top 10! It'll probably chart at #7/#8 this week.

People are writing her off to early. Remember Loick Essien, that was only at around #11 or #12 at this point on Sunday night and it still got to #2. I think 'Collide' will still debut at around #4 or #5.

I do agree, any boost is helpful and it's already very high - the only thing is the boost may not be that big as the response to the programme was very negative, so I wonder if the ratings will be down tonight

Has anybody's LivePopBars updated yet? Or has there been ANY movement on iTunes recently?

about 5 minutes ago, a few tracks switch around but none of the new entries in the top 10

The Saturdays now 2 and 113

Leona now 10 and 120

Both 2nd versions climbing a little

The Saturdays:

002. All Fired Up

113. All Fired Up (Extended Mix)

282. Ladykiller (B-side)

510. All Fired Up (Alias Radio Edit)

Pixie Lott:

003. All About Tonight

376. All About Tonight (Acoustic)

599. All About Tonight (The Alias Remix)

678. All About Tonight (The Mike Delinquent Project Remix)

Avicii / Leona:

010. Collide

120. Collide (Extended Mix)

283. Collide (Afrojack Remix)

517. Collide (Cahill Remix)

Both are as effective as each other whether the promo is pre or post release. That would have been like saying 2yrs ago that after an Xfactor slot (where the track is released midnight) they'll only climb higher if they do another performance somewhere else, which isn't necesarily true.

My point about the performance on the show might not be as effective was regarding Red or Blacks viewing figures this evening. They opened with 6.9m last night which will be no where near as high tonight. If Leona can only just get to #10 on iTunes after 6.9m then It does question what will happen with Pixies tonight.

1 Maroon 5 Moves Like Jagger (Studio Recording from the Voice Performance) 1.000000

2 The Saturdays All Fired Up 0.946179

3 Pixie Lott All About Tonight 0.800079

4 Example Stay Awake (Radio Edit) 0.600555

5 Olly Murs Heart Skips a Beat (feat. Rizzle Kicks) 0.598573

6 Calvin Harris Feel So Close [Radio Edit] 0.495986

7 Sean Kingston Party All Night (Sleep All Day) 0.452473

8 Christina Perri Jar of Hearts 0.438200

9 Ed Sheeran You Need Me, I Don't Need You 0.390723

10 Avicii & Leona Lewis Collide (Radio Edit) 0.387947

LivePopBars does have a habbit of increasing the pop.bars more than they should for about a minute after they udpate, so I expect them to go down a little bit.. but heyho..

Maroon 5 100%

The Saturdays 94.6% (+10.5%)

Pixie Lott 80% (+16.9%)

Wow at Pixie, Both should be top 2 tonight, Saturdays have alan titermarsh this week and Pixie has RedOrBlack and She wiill have more promotion midweek along with leona.
WoW! Gotta say, the top 10 is looking awesome at the moment. Just replace Calvin Harris and it will be perfect. I hope Saturdays can get number one, but if not, Pixie Lott and Maroon 5 are tunes, so should be a brilliant Top 3 anyway!
I hope Leona has more promotion lined up as she's 20% behind Olly Murs at #5
