The Saturdays SHOULD TECHNICALLY be bigger than The Wanted...

 

Why? The Wanted have had two big selling #1's and a top 3 album. The Saturdays have not managed these achievements. Plus, The Wanted have a far bigger fanbase.

Talent is subjective, as is music taste and who you call a 'big act'. I wouldn't call JLS of 3 years ago a 'big' act - yet they've had slots in X Factor from the word go and The Saturdays didn't ... It IS curious, especially as the girls had numerous duets(read interactions) with the guys on other shows.

And I do remember Simon and Louis having constant digs at the girls in the live XF shows, some of them really uncalled for.

Now I'm not a Saturdays fan but when you are the creator of monstrosities like the duo Cowell& Walsh created to 'bless' the music industry I don't know if I would be so arrogant as to dismiss a rather good pop act like The Saturdays.

 

JLS are way bigger than The Sats in every way. Plus they are an X-Factor act so they will generally get a slot just like Leona and Olly will.

 

You can't be serious? They're looking likely to get their first #1 this week, they've already had 9 top 10 hits and 3 top 10 albums. The Wanted performed on The X Factor last year after 2 singles, I think The Saturdays deserve a slot on the biggest show in the country.

 

I agree about The Wanted. No idea how they get on. But norm they only have big worldwide acts or big uk sellers. The Sats are hardly either of them.

That's not surprising. Well, I was a bit shocked at first, but if you read up about The Wanted, you'll find that their manager is also the owner of Capital FM and Heart FM, and he has VERY close ties to Louis Walsh.

Pixie at #1. Well, the half hour or so of The Sats reigning at #1 was nice :)

The Saturdays have had a Top 3 album though. 3 Top 10 albums to be precise. Besides the sales speak for themselves, I doubt The Wanted have sold over 2.5m like The Sats have. It's not a lot, but it just seems illogical when you look at the sales..

No idea, The Saturdays deserve a X-Factor slot more than The Wanted even though I like both groups.....

 

They've been here longer and The Wanted got put into X-Factor when they weren't even THAT big then...

omg im all for the excitement of this, but some of u are behaving with so much immaturity. of course pixie is number one. she performed tonight and the saturdays didnt. the saturdays and the wanted are both good acts. stop pitting them against one another....

Oh Nooooooooo. Oh they spoke far too soon! Bless them. I am happy for Pixie, but gutted for the Sats... Rochelle was cracking open champagne and everything.

The sales are terrible for their albums. The wanted album was bigger than anything the sats have put out. The Wanted have 2 number 1 singles. I love the sats but they can not sell compared to most acts

Eugh, I love Pixie's new song and all but The Sats need it so much more than that bint. :(

So The Saturdays managed to be #1 for all of half an hour. Aw well, at least its a step in the right direction. Hopefully with their next single they can hold on to #1 long enough so that they can get an official #1.
