Collide #7 :o This has had an itunes run similar to an OA/OS single, with a peak, then falling fast. She should be able to get some good sales though with more promo and airplay

Snow Patrol at #13... This isn't going top 10 then i guess :(

I have a feeling it might make top 10 although I'm not sure when, normally rock groups usually peak on itunes the day after the release of a song, however snow patrol have climbed around 10 places since Monday, so i think with continued airplay from radio 1 where it is A-List, it's got a decent chance as there are very few high profile releases in the next few weeks (apart from One Direction And Dappy).

Off topic: MLJ back to #1 on US iTunes, SLY down to #2

She'll be top 5 roughly on TV airplay tomorrow and just outside top 40 on radio airplay I think. It's radio airplay that is a bit dissapointing.

I haven't listened to radio much recently, but i did hear it on Capital last night and a few other times. It should pick up though, and she will no doubt perform her 2nd single on X Factor, which should guarantee another hit (perhaps a #1)

To be fair, with Collide, it didn't have a whole lot of airplay before it was released, so it's not that different to an on air, on sale song. But maybe it can still have a good chart run like Where Them Girls At and Born This Way did.

About the US, it looks like Adele will just get the one week at #1 then. Maroon 5/Christina Aguilera will be certain to get back there now if they're #1 on iTunes again. But Someone Like You could climb back there sometime I think, as its airplay increases.

Collide may have some longevity, or they may just forget it and focus on the next single in time for X Factor live shows.

Its going to be close for #1 in the US next week i think, as SLY has been #1 on iTunes for the majority of the week, but MLJ has had much better airplay. I think MLJ will get it, as there can't be much between their sales.

I think even Foster the People could beat Adele this week. The three of them are quite close atm. But I think Adele will get #2.

I would LOVE it if they mananged to get the #1

1 Maroon 5 Moves Like Jagger (Studio Recording from the Voice Performance) 1.000000

2 Pixie Lott All About Tonight 0.764183

3 The Saturdays All Fired Up 0.521628

Pixie  a percentage, Sats  a percentage. :o

I would LOVE it if they mananged to get the #1

I think they've lost their chance now. They always seem to be selling slightly less than MLJ. Predictions:

1. Maroon 5

2. Adele

3. Foster the People

4. LMFAO

5. Lady Gaga

6. Nicki Minaj

7. Cobra Starship

8. Bad Meets Evil

9. Rihanna

10. Katy Perry

I'm probably way off though.

"Pumped Up Kicks" going to #1 would be a massive moment for the US charts, imo. It's already the first Alternative Songs #1 to go top 5 on the Billboard since "Use Somebody" and would be the first to go to #1 on the Hot 100 since "Viva La Vida". Before that you have to go back to "How You Remind Me", there's only been three songs so far this century that have topped both charts.
All Fired Up is holding up so well compared to previous Sats singles, Missing You was 7 on iTunes at this point in its release week :o looks like it may even get a second week in the top 5 next week too, performance on Jonathan Ross tonight which will give it a boost and the only big release next week is One Direction.

Gym Class Heroes will be around 5-7, how can you forget that track :P

They're not performing on JR. :( Just an interview.

Wow. That'd be amazing if it did it. I don't think we'll ever see a song like that at #1 in the UK ever again tbh.

A bit shocking that the US have only had two of those sorts of songs at #1 in the past 10 years though!! :o :o How You Remind Me was rather big though. It was the year-end #1! Their charts have really been varying up recently. You've got Party Rock Anthem being a hit on one end of the spectrum, a song that would never have got popular even 3 years ago, and then Pumped Up Kicks on the very other end of the spectrum! And RnB music seems practically dead everywhere around the world now.

That is not happening. They are chatting to him, Red Hot Chilli Peppers are performing. They will probs show a little bit of it during the interview which would give it a very tiny boost, but thats all that can be expected.

Oh what?!? How pointless :(

How You Remind Me i think ended up 4th on the billboard hot 100 end of decade charts!!!!!

I wouldn't say never again, I don't think rock as a commercial genre is in terminal decline. I do think that "Pumped Up Kicks" going to no. 1 would be a huge boost and might accelerate the recovery, but I think we're due a big breakthrough soon anyway. 1991 had Nirvana, 2001 had The Strokes, 2011 has... nothing. Yet

Good grief! How on Earth did it get so popular!? It's not exactly the type of song people in the US tend to like. Was there some sort of controversy around the song which made it really popular or something? Or did everyone just happen to like that song, but no other rock songs?

I don't really know what happened... there were other rock songs that were popular around the same time ("In The End" got to #2) that were far more deserving, imo. And they're Canadian! :o :P
