Looks as if low Top 15 is the best we can expect of this single. :(

It's not often that a major UK pop group releases a studio album off the back of a single that doesn't make the Top 10. Only these three came to mind:

Take That - I Found Heaven (reached #15 prior to the release of debut album Take That & Party - they had yet to firmly establish themselves)

Eternal - What'cha Gonna Do (reached #16 in advance of fourth album 'Eternal' - now only a duo, they'd fallen out of favour with the public)

Atomic Kitten - Follow Me (reached #20 before first album 'Right Now' came out)

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the version of Right Now that came out after "Follow Me" only just peaked in the Top 40. The song was completely missed out from their GH album. when all other singles were included.

But things will most definitely be different with OYR. If the chart position isn't too good, surely the album will still get a good few sales?

I'm kinda hoping people are holding back from buying MHTO because of it being on the album and they're waiting for the album instead? Doubt it at all though but I can hope and be optimistic that's the case haha. :P

If i had just listened to Issues and MHTO for the first time, i'd say MHTO was the stronger song and was the more obvious hit, obviously not though. :o

I don't know if it's been mentioned but 2nd Adventure's remix of My Heart Takes Over is Popjustice's song on the day! Well done!! :D
If the single's flopping this bad, how bad is the album going to do?! Guessing Top 20 at best right now, should've launched it with All Fired Up.

ASIF

I thought this day couldn't get any better :o

My Heart Takes Over now has a 9% gap ( 1%) to The Top 10, and that's counting that they've droped a few places since this morning. Not bad!

Are you gonna give us the full version soon? :o :D

^^ Of course! It's been so difficult to mix and master it which is why it's taken so long! It should hopefully be out next week :)

And Eternals 13th single was their first single to go to No.1. Maybe The Sats next single (their 13th aswell) can also go No.1 :yahoo:

Wishful thinking

It's dropped to #20 on uk iTunes, although I doubt this I hope they somehow manage to get a new peak on iTunes after their promotion!

:(

ouch...this is shaping up to be their worst performing single of their career if it keeps falling like this...i really thought this would be big, given how wintry/christmassy it is, but this is not good, given their track record singles-wise they shouldn't be struggling to make the top 20, especially when the last single made top 3. Praying the promotion keeps it top 20.

The performance on Lose Women was vocally fantastic. They all looked a bit bored, but I'll put that down to concentration
They're performing Notorious & All Fired Up on CBBC no My Heart Takes Over

I suppose that is good promo for the album :)

Yeah, perform the songs that people actually like lol.
It was filmed months ago, before Notorious was released
Even though this will peak lower than usual for them, which by the way for the first time i'm actually not too concerned about. :o I actually don't think it will fall alot next week! As the album will push sales up slightly and also they will climb into the top 50 airplay this Sunday (51 last week) and then climb even further as it will still be R1 A-List for a further week. :)
