Do you not think it says something, that Notorious and All Fired Up both got on to a second topic, and MHTO hasn't even reached 30 pages yet. Even as fans we are not buzzed by this single.

 

Not really, neither Notorious nor All Fired Up had to share the 'main spot' with the album thread, so the singles thread were the most important back then.

I think i've played this 10 times since I first heard it. It was such a 'meh' release. I didn't even bother following it's progress on iTunes or anything whereas with Notorious and AFU I was checking every five minutes!

MHTO is at #28 this week. :)

#57 and #108 on iTunes at the moment. I presume this won't be enough for them to remain Top 40 for a third week, both are bound to drop as the week goes on anyway. :(

Only climbed #2 places to a peak position of #32 on the radio. It's still on the A List of some stations so I remain hopeful. I hope it can snatch top 40 this week but it's the typical third week drop away to happen.

So taking that into account it's #51 on iTunes. Most Likely around #37-40 combined and they will still have small physicals to help them. The Saturdays should reduce all their songs to 59p like what Lady Gaga done to help them create some sort of buzz. I swear sometimes I wish I was their management. My Heart Takes Over especially needs a price reduction.

Such a pity this has performed the way it has. Defo one of my fave ballads by them. Love walking around in the bad weather listening to this lol such a nice winter feeling :)

Not Top 40 in the mids for its third week.

 

Prior to now none of their singles have spent less than 5 weeks in the Top 40 (If This Is Love being the 5 week stay).

I heard this on radio 1 when driving home from work today. Bit late.. :lol:

It's fell out the Top 40 already after 2wks. If it makes anyone else feel better, JLS and One Directions's singles are also bombing. JLS are only looking at 3wks Top 40 with bigger exposure.

You just know when they come to re-release include half the album in a 'Headlines' style EP next year, this will be the track that is missing from the tracklist because it 'tainted their success' haha. Ala the actual song 'Wordshaker' not appearing on Headlines despite it being one of the best on there. Blatantly wasn't included because it was also the same name of the album :lol:

Out of the top 100 on iTunes. Lets hope All Fired Up Or My Heart Takes Over gets reduced to 59p to help the album and the single sales!

Sad that this single did so poorly... 2 weeks in the Top 40. Maybe only 3 weeks in the Top 75! :o

This is why they need to move onto the next single a.s.a.p. They can't let the flop of My Heart Takes Over delude them into thinking that the rest of the album will not help, because they need to stay out there. They're in a risky position where if they stay out of the charts for too long they'll be forgotten.

Yes, back when Headlines! was released Missing You was huge on radio and there was a bit of buzz around Higher...now there's simply not that interest about what's in the album. 'My Heart' is over and they're probably keeping up sales thanks to the tour and two medium hits like Notorious and AFU...

I think if they made the Rokstone Mix the official version it would have done much better because it fits with the whole dance theme of the album yet it doesn't not lose the ballad magic. Then if they made a more interesting video with a storyline rather than standing around in the snow. I think the would have been looking at #7-#9 at least. Also they should have fought tooth and nail for an XF slot which would have probably made it #3 and given the album a good platform to go Top 10 off good sales.

I personally think MHTO is one of their best singles. Really.
