They played the David Guetta/Usher song on Radio 1 this morning, and it's climbed like 10 places from that! :o So another 10-15 plays on there and it should be in the top 10.

I reckon after Dappy/One Direction next week, it's got a really good chance of number one the week after if it gets the radio plays i think it will

Imagine how annoyed Dappy will be missing out on #1 by One Direction, he will be fuming! I think he has to settle for #2, OneD sales will be a lot lower next week but still high enough for #1 I think.

Coldplay still not top 10? :o They've been so close since this morning!

Cheers #17, climbing well now, wonder if it'll make top 10, i think more #13-#15 will be its peak, Loud has sold so much now, i'm sure it'll be the last single.

The song reminds me of With or Without You by U2...a LOT! :o Except David Guetta's song is actually uplifiting, and makes you happy, rather than making you want to kill yourself. :drama:

It's a lot like Titanium aswell imo. But it's quite good.

He suffers alot from not promoting/releasing songs properly. If Titanium had been released normally it would have been number 1 I'm pretty sure of it. The big problem he's got is that he's got so many songs going on

Yeah. I think the original idea with Titanium was just to release it a few weeks before the album, without promoting it. But it sounds like such a hit, so it's a shame it wasn't a proper single. The only station I ever hear playing Titanium is Capital, which isn't enough to keep a song stable in the charts. And it could do with a music video too. Maybe it'll become a proper single in a few months.

Coldplay have officially stalled.

In All Fairness Titanium, Turn Me On, Without You should all be singles all fantastic and all are better than Where Dem Girls At & Little Bad Girl

I agree. He now has to release Turn Me On 4th, Titanium 5th. And then the Timbaland/Dev song needs to be released somewhere. It's INCREDIBLE. Repeat, I Can Only Imagine, Crank It Up and Night of Your Life also need to be released aswell tbh. I can't see all this happening though.

If only this was a Beyonce album...

WOW didn't know that you became such a "David Guetta fan", Eric

But seriously I agree with all of these, Repeat & Night Of Your Life are all incredible good songs. TBH I think Nothing But The Beat is so much better than One Love :o

Sak Noel will be #1 easily that week.

-x-

FFS @ Coldplay stalling  On the upside Example will stay top 10 for now. I really hope he can overtake at least one song so he can stay top 10 next week.

That involves so much effort though, especially when it's the same results.

01. One Direction - What Makes You Beautiful. 100%

Calvin Harris at the way he's going should climb to #06 soon. The Saturdays are pulling away from Olly Murs as They have increased their lead on him by 1.2% overall today.

Ok fair enough re the effort but it definitely doesn't give the same results.

Coldplay have officially stalled.

sigh... but I can't say I didn't expect it :( I can only hope this doesn't plummet down the charts

I dunno why David Guetta released Little Bad Girl as the lead single, when songs like Titanium and Turn Me On were there, they probably won't do as well now either :(

I think Coldplay not getting into the top-10 just yet is for good? That way they can gain the top-10 "naturally" with the promotion etc.. Besides, isn't the song is brought to you if you pre-order the album?
Why Guetta hasn't released Titanium as a single I don't know. It's the only one of his tracks that literally everyone likes including me.

Unfortunately releases of this nature rarely make the top 10 later :( And this time they don't have a Glastonbury to propel it into the top 10 so it'll have an Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall chart run but without the recovery and with a lower peak... ah well, we can hope I guess.

It's... odd. Titanium is becoming a proper long-lasting hit in Ireland (I love those random times when we actually decide to act independently from the UK for a bit) and yet he's releasing that awful Usher song next. Titanium obviously has huge potential. The problem with Guetta this era is that he is too self-aware; he knows what people like and he will cater to them for $ucce$$ but at the same time he can still make excellent songs a la Titanium. I do wonder how different things would be if When Loves Take Over had outsold Sexy Bitch and One Love hadn't flopped, but Sexy Bitch is his biggest seller and he has decided to continue playing to the "I like dancing to misogynistic songs" market rather than making the music that he is so good at and used to do so much more.

When Love Takes Over was nowhere even close to out-selling Sexy Chick worldwide though. I know they were quite close in the UK, but worldwide Sexy Chick was clearly the bigger hit, and even if WLTO did sell more, I think he would've carried on the way he did.

The main thing that annoys me is other artists, more than anything. You get artists like Pitbull, Snoop Dogg and Enrique Iglesias thinking they can do those "girls are so hot" songs do electropop beats, which you CAN'T. It sounds pointless. I just find it so hilarious that Sweat has the same beat as I Wanna Go. It's just stupid really. And actually kind of sad. But I digress. But if you had to place the blame on one song for all that, it would most likely be Sexy Chick.

David Guetta will also have another song in the charts soon, since he's got that song with Timbaland coming up. That's a sure-fire top 10, obviously.

Will Young is climbing again! Doing so much better than anyone expected.

59p now. :music:

How are the new 59p songs doing? It can be such a good thing to do for songs to climb! I'm a supporter of it :P :
