Glad Will young is back top 10! :)

Brilliant for Will Young, I remember some people thought he would not even go Top 20. Coldplay seem to have stalled and Maroon 5 climbing fast.

Must admit even as a huge fan I never saw Will as being a single seller again.

12 Tony Bennett & Amy Winehouse/ Body And Soul

28 David Guetta & Usher/ Without You Could this squeeze into the UK Top40 by Sunday?

49 Mazzy Star/ Into Dust This is a 59p song? Or has it been used in a advert?

77 Nickelback/ Photograph

93 Dr Dre/ The Next Episode

I didn't either. Will more or less accepted it too, saying he was more of an album seller, and his record company single release strategy showed little faith in his ability to sell singles as well.

So pleased for him that he has done so well with Jealousy. He deserves all the success he gets.

It's weird that Saturdays always seem to pull away from Olly in the morning from around 10-4 then Olly starts gaining on Saturdays at night. 3Hours Ago he was 0.2% behind The Saturdays now he's 1.7% behind. Same situation Wednesday also.

Yes I was talking about you :P , I did not know why you did not think Jealousy would do well.I knew this would be a strong era for him, I think RCA have done a good job so far.

I love how nobody calls or labels Will Young "desperate" for reducing his track to 59p, but as soon as it's The Saturdays they're deemed so desperate! Double standards much?

Really pleased for Will though. 'Jealousy' is still a top track!

THIS. The Saturdays also didin't have much airplay compared to Will Young.

Which Saturdays track was that then Jonjo? and is it the label who reduce the tracks then? personally I couldn't give a toss if all the tracks were reduced and I'd rather Will sell more of his album than a single, anyway let Will fans enjoy "our little moment", it might never bloody happen again.

You'll have to forgive me for having so little faith marb. Actually I've never doubted Jealousy just the commercial radio stations to come on board & support it. I know he doesn't fit on radio 1 & capital still annoy me but he's had brilliant backing from the rest of the network & Heart coming late to the show. Long may it continue. There's some cracking radio friendly tunes on Echoes.

Very valid point! Hate double standards.

Personally, i've always supported the reduction of price to 59p, it can really help as we've just seen with Jealousy which has climbed, what 10 places since the reduction and is now back in top 10 because of it benefiting from top 10 effect.

I think more labels should consider it, especially when a song is looking to leave top 10, top 20, top 40 etc, keep it in for a few more weeks. :D

That does make a change. :P Will fans know all too well what a battle it is to have single success without good airplay. Thankfully it has never really affected his abilty to sell albums.

01 01 9 2 Maroon 5 feat. Christina Aguilera Moves Like Jagger 4291 13.82 60.71 - 6.93 A&M/ Octone

02 02 7 6 Olly Murs feat. Rizzle Kicks Heart Skips A Beat 3573 18.23 59.12 10.01 Epic/ Syco

03 05 7 12 Will Young Jealousy 3403 3.78 55.07 18 RCA

Will Young has done so well on radio with Jealousy, and no surprise as (for me) its his greatest song.

Also shows why Olly & Maroon 5 are doing so well, great radio support. How long has olly been top 10, still #4 so could spend 2 months inside top 10 at this rate!

Haha. I wasn't meaning to aim it at Will Young fans, it's just the iLoons that mostly say stuff like the above. It happened with 'Notorious' and they had their track reduced to 59p within a month of being available or something like that and people (not Will Young fans) were saying they were "desperate"

But yeah I'll let you all have your moment haha. As I am also relishing in it. :P It's an excellent track which is different to most things in the chart nowadays, so it'll be a very welcome return to the top 10 in my eyes.
