Well I do hope it's better than Firework and Teenage Dream!

Firework's video is still probably my favourite yet, it nearly made me cry the first time I watched it..

Really liking the video trailer, hopefully the full thing will be the key to me getting on board with this song/single.

 

Like Theo says, from the clip it looks a bit like 'We Found Love' but that's no bad thing and it's not like it was purposefully copied as it was filmed before the WFL video was released, right? The full thing could even be completely different.

Love the trailer. She looks like Marion Cotillard in the trailer though, which is a compliment obviously :wub:

 

It's not the whole video, but it's got the whole song in it - the whole video is on Ellen's website at 1 in the US.

Not my favourite video from the era, but it is very emotional towards the end. My only nitpick is how the lyric says "someone said you got your tattoo removed", when he still has it at the end.

OMG got really sad at the end. Probably the weakest video of the era, but it's still REALLY good, she just consistently has amazing videos..

I love the video, its so sad i almost cried at the end, also a woman that i work with, her daughter works for Katy's record company, she said there's supposed to be a longer version of the video coming out (around 8 mins long) :unsure: , i dont know if thats already been mentioned or confirmed somewhere or not but it might set up the video a little bit better, guess we'll see!

Aww that's a really good video, it fits the song so well. Tugs at my heartstrings. It's nice to see Katy can do sensible if she wants to.

This girl sure knows how to do brilliant videos, I love that! Really quite emotional and I didn't expect that ending at all.

 

As for "weakest video of the era", that surely goes to 'Teenage Dream'? (even though that's my favourite song of the era).

 

Also, the video has definitely helped me come around to the song a lot more. The song isn't quite as good without the video accompanying it though.

A brilliant and thought provoking video here. All her videos this era have been great - Teenage Dream was probably the weakest but even that was good. Hopefully when this video gets some play, the track will rebound back into the top 40. An incredibly achievement - I'm not even sure Rihanna or Gaga could get 6 singles top 25 or 5 singles in the top 10 from the same (currently unre-released) album. Katy Perry has some power regarding the singles chart!

Brilliant video. I actually think it's my favourite from the era. it just suits the song, perfectly. It's now my favourite Katy Perry song to date. It's going to take some doing for anything to beat it. :wub: I'm impressed.

It's a really sweet video, but it's a bit poorly edited. I'm hoping that's just the way it was cut down from the 7 minute version. It's beautifully shot, though.

Poor Katy, she's been at #11 on the US iTunes for a while waiting for those 2 Taylor Swift songs to drop out. Now that they finally have, two Drake album tracks push it back down. :drama: I'm starting to wonder if a 6th top 10 is in the cards for her...

This has entered the Hot 100 top 10 this week, giving her a sixth top 10 hit from the album - I doubt it'll be a #1, but a top five hit would be nice :D
