It is basically as people said, a cross between 'On The Floor' and 'Mr Saxobeat'.

I like the verses but the chorus is poor and I agree it's too generic to be that likeable. Mind you, 'Alive' was a generic song too...

I loved her first album however, and of course Rogue Traders were unbelievably astonishing.

We all know that her second single shits over the first.

Someday Soon >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Alive

I Never Liked You>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Don't You Wanna Feel

The only exception being Voodoo Child, which shat upon the entirety of Here Come The Drums from an enormous height.

I'd rank the single from the debut as such:

01 1000 Stars

02 Not For You

03 Someday Soon

04 Love Like This

05 Alive

Supersensual really should have been a single, easily the best thing on the album. The Blondie sample is genius.

Alive = Someday Soon > 1000 Stars >>> Love Like This > Not For You

NFY still being a good 8/10!

I'd swap the first three to look like 3, 1, 2 personally.

Alive, 1000 Stars, Not For You and Love Like This are ALL 10/10s. Such a stunning run of singles from that album. I don't care for Someday Soon though, cheap production and dull melody. This Can't Be Love should've been the second single.

Predictably I find This Can't Be Love alright at best. It's a good album track but it was not a lost single.

I don't quite agree, but then that was a pretty much perfect album. Definitely one of my favourites ever.

wtf was that mess?

In fairness I seem to be one of about four people who shares that opinion. It's just such a massive chorus, so catchy and such perfect production. It's one of those songs which really strikes a chord with me beyond being just one of the best on the album. Still I think Someday Soon was very safe and she could have released almost anything else off the album and it would have been at least as big.

This Can't Be Love is my ultimate favourite followed by the b-side Happiness. My fav single is Not for You and I also like Could You Be Loved a lot.

OMG we are shockingly in tune when it comes to Nat Bass. Amazing choix.

For me the single order should have been:

Alive

Someday Soon

1000 Stars

Supersensual

This Can't Be Love

but I do like Not For You and Love Like This as well - Could You Be Loved would have been a good single as well

I didn't like All I Have at first, but it is slightly growing me, albeit slowly

Fantastic album, yes. But Voodoo Child is like a 13/10

That would be because it's crap and reeks of desperation. The X Factor performance doesn't seem to have been posted. It was ASTONISHING. One of the absolute worst performances I've ever seen. A career killer.
