September 26, 201113 yr I thought From The Music would be more Buzzjack friendly..obviously I'm wrong...again :kink: Well... the video attached the song to Muppets in my mind, and I couldn't get that image out. It's an alright track, I just can't see it doing anything in the contest. The male vocal fits, but it tires quite easily as well, at least to my ears. In other news, still doing great on the odds! :cheer: I'm actually really pumped for the semi results now, I want to see if I'm through. (Which according to the odds and predictions I'll sail through, but I don't want to build myself up for a fall)

Wow Tom :o At this point I've really given up any hope of winning this contest, I've not been so certain of a top two for a long time and that top two is Loreen and Tove Styrke. 3rd would be amazing but I'm not getting my hopes up because I can see another hugely pure pop dominated results table and Velvet/Destinee & Paris should satisfy those needs for people. I know it now, the Glee clue gave it away (well the Greek success as well actually!) I actually think it would've done better than Erase Me. I charted it anyway, albeit ages ago. I agree that it would have done better results wise, and I don't think it would be vetoed as I don't think Hits had planned to send the original version of it. I guess she's coming off the back of a recent-ish BJSC win but that didn't stop Charice getting entered again almost instantly after hers.

Loreen and Tove will be up there for sure, but I think you will be too, it's a brilliantly produced and ridiculously catchy song, although maybe I'm letting personal feelings come into this, as it's my fave entry of yours for AGES. I think it MIGHT have been vetoed tbh. I would have been for it, but I suspect Peter and Martin wouldn't. Not sure what the other version is, but I don't know if it would make a big difference.

'AGES' meaning a mere three months ago and Chart Music I take it? :kink: I know a lot of people didn't 'get' my last two entries but it was nice to show a different side to my music taste and Sunrise in particular is quickly becoming one of my favourite songs of 2011 so no regrets[/robbienotdappy] Do you have a list of the songs that were vetoed this month by the way? There are a couple of entries here that I'm surprised made it through that stage so I'd be interested to know what didn't make the cut!
September 27, 201113 yr Opening odds for CCBJXXXVIII from PadisPouwer.ny: 2/1 FSR Rontvia: Lise Karlsnes- Red Hot 5/2 Kopečka: Loreen- Sober 3/1 Herzebania: Tove Styrke- Call My Name 4/1 Hendinia: Velvet- Love Struck 5/1 Numayania: Electric Lady Lab- Touch Me --- The top 5 here are way ahead of the pack IMHO, but any of the next 7-8 could challenge for top 5. I just don't get it how all these 5 songs are predicted to do this well? They all belong in same genre (electro-pop) and I'm not expecting everybody to give points to all of them...votes are going to be splited and in all honesty, none of them will win.
September 27, 201113 yr I just don't get it how all these 5 songs are predicted to do this well? They all belong in same genre (electro-pop) and I'm not expecting everybody to give points to all of them...votes are going to be splited and in all honesty, none of them will win. Loreen and Velvet are more Scandipop/dance than the other three, I wouldn't call either electro-pop personally. It's not impossible for such things to happen anyway! Take away Jag Kommer from last month's top five and it was a pure pop whitewash. Votes don't generally get 'split' in BJSC, people just vote for their favourite songs overall - not their favourite from a certain genre and then ignore the other songs from that genre...we've had countless examples of top threes/fives being dominated by the same genre. They don't need points from everybody anyway, Video Games won by appealing to less than 50% of the voters. I'll personally be shocked if one of Loreen, Tove Styrke or Velvet doesn't win.
September 27, 201113 yr Now after listening to Loreen in full, I think I prefer acoustic version  Hendinia FTW.
September 28, 201113 yr My odds are all over the shop this month. I had Every Time down as one of those tracks I adore and DNQ'd. Just had no inspiration this month and this was literally the only thing I was feeling.

September 29, 201113 yr To be honest, if I was going to post a BETidas Final opening odds, they would look so similar to those of RontBet I wonder if there's any point in posting a duplicate.
September 29, 201113 yr The results seem so obvious this month but then I've been awful at predicting in recent months so you never know...
September 29, 201113 yr Yeah, Loreen is the most obvious winner so far to me. I'm not totally keen but it's definitely better than many of the pop entries submitted recently.
September 30, 201113 yr Odds to win from Bwci-Fyrddin: 2/1 Kopečka: Loreen- Sober 3/1 FSR Rontvia: Lise Karlsnes- Red Hot 3/1 Hendinia: Velvet- Love Struck 3/1 Juranabaijan: Same Difference ft Alcazar- Karma Karma 4/1 Herzebania: Tove Styrke- Call My Name 5/1 Ojnoj: Destinee & Paris- True Love 5/1 St Joliver: Medina- Synd For Dig 6/1 Numayania: Electric Lady Lab- Touch Me 7/1 Lotopialand: Liviu Hodor ft Mona- Sweet Love 8/1 Allecian: Simon Curtis- Flesh 8/1 Usfland: Marlon Roudette- New Age 10/1 Caerfyrddia: Rebekka Karijord- Wear It Like A Crown 10/1 Fanadminaj: Havana- Dance Like That 12/1 Botanikka: Zowie- Smash It 12/1 Yuxhaaq: Vanessa Amorosi- Amazing 14/1 Fljótavík: Astrid Williamson- Pour 15/1 FYR Vojvodina: Voltaire Twins- Animalia 15/1 Seyetana: Emmon- Distance 16/1 Daehun: IU- Good Day 18/1 Ashton: Morten Breum feat Sissie Marie- Every Time (You Look At Me) 20/1 Kluminican Republic: Wanessa (FT Bam Bam)- Sticky Dough 25/1 Espen: Melissa Horn- Jag saknar dig mindre och mindre 27/1 Budtar: He Is We (FT Owl City)- All About Us 30/1 Lievant: DWNTWN- Transition 33/1 Farahtyn: Brock Zanrosso- Perefect Storm 35/1 N-Lazone: Hot Chelle Rae- Tonight Tonight (Riddler Radio Edit) 40/1 Avalonia: Sweetbox- Fever 50/1 Palmyra: The Potbeleez- From The Music 50/1 Unovia: HyunA- Bubble Pop! Loreen still very much the favourite.
September 30, 201113 yr Kopečka are really on fire now. After the slight shock of 'Drama' making the top 5 (or was it a shock? :o ), it wouldn't surprise me if 'Sober' ends up winning 'Video Games' style with nearly 200 points on the leaderboard and second place miles behind.
September 30, 201113 yr It's not an ego thing at all but I was always shocked that people saw Drama as anything other than a surefire top 5!
September 30, 201113 yr 'Surefire' is debateable seeing as it would have finished outside the top ten with only 10 points less and was only top five at all by a matter of two points! Sober is a SUREFIRE top five hit, i.e. one that could be sent to every contest we've ever had and gone top five, Drama made the most out of an average contest in terms of standouts, I doubt it'd have done much better than 8th or 9th if you'd sent it the month before :o I never really 'got' it though and you know how much I've loved Jody's past work so that's probably just personal opinion talking  But I'd like to think I'm able split my opinions from reality to see when a song is a certain top five, even if I'm not overkeen on it. So Drama to me was something of a surprising top five, but then so was everything in that top five last month apart from Ashton and USJ! But the points were so close between 4th and 12th that it really could have gone anybody's way last month outside the top three, certainly nothing 'surefire' about its final placing.
