PARENTS JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND ON AN ALL-NEW "GLEE" TUESDAY, OCTOBER 4, ON FOX

Rusty (guest star Don Most) and Rose (guest star Valerie Mahaffey) Pillsbury pay Emma a visit and we get a sneak peek into her deep rooted issues. Meanwhile, Mike Chang (Harry Shum) struggles with his grades and his parents (guest stars Keong Sim and Tamlyn Tomita) step in to make sure he stays on track on the "Asian F" episode of GLEE airing Tuesday, Oct. 4 (8:00-9:01 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (GLE-303) (TV-14 D, L)

Cast: Matthew Morrison as Will Schuester; Jane Lynch as Sue Sylvester; Lea Michele as Rachel Berry; Cory Monteith as Finn Hudson; Jayma Mays as Emma Pillsbury; Dianna Agron as Quinn; Chris Colfer as Kurt; Kevin McHale as Artie; Amber Riley as Mercedes; Mark Salling as Puck; Jenna Ushkowitz as Tina; Naya Rivera as Santana Lopez; Heather Morris as Brittany; Harry Shum as Mike Chang and Darren Criss as Blaine Anderson.

Guest Cast: Iqbal Theba as Principle Figgins; Dot-Marie Jones as Coach Beiste; Mike O'Malley as Burt Hummel; Ashley Fink as Lauren Zizes; Idina Menzel as Shelby Corcoran; Don Most as Rusty Pillsbury; Valerie Mahaffey as Rose Pillsbury; Keong Sim as Mike Chang, Sr.; Tamlyn Tomita as Julia Chang.

Really looking forward to seeing Emma's parents :D Not as much with Mike, it's nice that we're seeing him more but this seems more out of the blue and I don't think we've really been given the impression that he's struggling with grades.

Rumoured song:

Spotlight

Run The World (Girls)

Fix You

It's All Over

Cool

Out Here On My Own

Will wait until the covers are up on Amazon to confirm, but I have seen genuine looking covers for these songs, and from the look of Twitter last night, the

Coldplay

track is confirmed.

Valerie Mahaffey!!! :) Love her. She usually plays crazy people...
OMG if

Cool

is a cover of the

Gwen Stefani

song, I will be ECSTATIC! Also looking forward to hearing

Run The World and Spotlight. And Fix Me, I've a feeling it'll be one of the songs they f*** up and give to the wrong person though.

YAY! Finally for some current and popular music!

'Run the World (Girls)'

sounds like it could be a

Quinn song, with her new "crew" or whatever!

but I'd rather she had

'Cool' - If it's the Gwen Stefani song!! Her tone is perfect for that song and she can sing it to Rachel!

Is

'Spotlight', the J-Hud song?

I believe

Run The World (Girls)

is a

Brittany

song in regards to her

competing against Kurt in the school election

Ooft. The dancing should be immense then!

Sorry guys but there is a song called

Cool

in

West Side Story

so I expect it'll be that rather than

Gwen

. I should hope

Spotlight

is the

Jennifer Hudson

song though.

This is the type of promo I love, looks brilliant. Not usually keen on Will's vocals but he seems to be doing a great job here, and I assume Mercedes will do

Spotlight

.

Question: Do you have any light to shed on the Glee situation in coming weeks? —Becks

Ausiello: Here’s the sitch: The word around McKinley is that next week’s episode, “Asian F,” is destined to be inducted into the Glee Hall of Fame, right alongside such celebrated installments as Season 1′s “Wheels” and Season 2′s “Grilled Cheesus.” The Ian Brennan-penned hour centers on the long-simmering rivalry between Rachel and Mercedes (they’re competing for the lead in West Side Story), marks the arrival of Mike’s parents, and features music from

Fame, Dreamgirls and (wait for it) Coldplay.

Stay close to my Twitter feed Wednesday for more details on the episode.

OMFG that means

It's All Over is from Dreamgirls  My 2nd favourite song from the movie behind Listen. On the other hand, Cool is the West Side Story song clearly...

Wow, the promo looks AMAZING.

'Asian F' LOL.

Who's singing what rumours:

Run The World - Brittany

Cool - Mike

Fix You - Will

Spotlight - Mercedes

Out Here On My Own - Rachel/Mercedes

It's All Over - MIKE (MELLOWFACE)

Mostly great choices, though I'd rather have Finn do Fix You. And as for FUCKING MIKE doing It's All Over, I am actually pissed off. EASILY the worst choice of solo in Glee history, that was a Mercedes bawler just waiting to happen. BUT NO, MIKE steals it... Plus I thought he couldn't sing (re: Sing! in series 2) so it'll probably be a joke thing (like Rachel's The Climb and Trouty Mouth for example), as will Cool. Anyway, NOT HAPPY.

I doubt it, seeing as the songs being sung by

----Mike----

will be released as singles :P

Ah :P Still a great big MELLOW though.

Songs leaked (click the spoilered links):

Fix You

THANK GOD It's All Over wasn't a Mike solo. It's EPIC! Mercedes as Effie and Sanatana as Deena  Plus Finn's weak interjection of 'when are you two gonna stop all this fighting' amidst the belting from Santana, Mercedes and Kurt is HILARE! Fix You is pretty disappointing though, like I said a couple of posts above it should've been Finn or Puck who sang it. Loving Spotlight and liking Out Here too, plus Cool is OK seeing as it's a male show tune.

This episode was just  all the way through. Brilliant performances all of them, particularly 'Spotlight' & 'It's All Over'.

I heard a rumour/theory about the ending and I'm really pleased it happened. A brilliant cliffhanger just before going on a month break. I don't know if it had the humour that some episodes have, but the emotion was great.

Both Heather and Harry have improved immensely! 'Run the World Girls' is one of those songs where it's better with the performance of it though I thought. I totally loved Quinn giving it some in the choreography to it too!

The songs were actually better than when I first listened to the mp3's. The only thing that grates me is Mercedes' songs. I'm getting bored of her/them. I hate how she's seen as the "one everyone forgets" blah, blah, blah. And I hate the whole "diva" thing for her. All her storylines and songs blend into one for me. Was that 'Night of Neglect' not enough for her? I'm sorry but Lea plays the "spoilt brat diva" so much better than Amber does.

EDIT: and I'm not gonna lie, I cried when Emma started praying and Will joined her and sang 'Fix You'!

Is it wrong that I'm fully TEAM MERCEDES with this? I dunno, I take far too much pleasure in people pissing on Rachel's dreams. It's good to see both Mercedes and Mike getting some storylines though, the latter's scene with his mother was very nicely done.

I do wish Tina was actually a vampire though. She'd be such a more interesting character. Hoping Mercedes doesn't just casually in two episodes time or something, I honestly don't get what the point of firing Santana was in 'Purple Piano Project' if she just returns like that.

Kurt storyline is sort of grating. Beiste still amazing, and Emma still kind of annoying, but the ginger supremacists was a bit brilliant.

Good episode, hyped up a bit too much though.
