I'm so pleased with the majority that got through! Over the moon at Kelly's category; she's surely going to be the winning judge, and the last judge to lose their first act too I'd guess! I'm so pleased Sami is through as well, but gutted Carolynne didn't get through :( 2 Shoes are great as well, so I'm really pleased for them too. Not too fussed on the other girl group, but I hate Nu Vibe so am annoyed they got through too - Tulisa was incredibly harsh creating her "supergroup", but at least SMUG GIT Marlon went home! Finally, Frankie Cockozza is a prick, and didn't deserve to get through over John, although I love that there are three Liverpudlians through

What if the BIG TWIST is Gamu returning to the competition as the 17th competitor? :o

Yeah, doubt it but it would be a good twist.

EDIT: Seemingly there are people convinced Cheryl Cole is coming back, it would be pretty neat if she got a wildcard group and it was bumped it up to 20 people. (although that is A LOT I wouldn't be completely surprised if they did it) Somehow doubt she'd pick Jade though for her wildcards.

The twist will be something disappointing like a double elimination or wildcards. What would be an interesting twist is if either:

A - Cheryl returns, and chooses one reject from each group for her final 4.

B - Catergories mixed up, each judge gets one act from each catergory.

C - Louis fired and replaced by someone with a brain. :P

I don't think there's going to be a charity single this year; instead, the finalists are going to release a cover of 'When You Wish Upon a Star', to be featured in the festive M&S adverts.

Source.

C - Louis fired out of a cannon and replaced by someone with a brain. :P

There that's better. :)

I've been struggling with their names but here is the list of contentants I like:

Boys

Craig Colton <--- easily my fave in the boys category even though I have a terrible feeling Gary is going to put all his attention into that bloody horrendous "thing" called Frankie Cocozza. I hope I'm wrong to think this. I wasn't that impressed with Craig until he sang 'Halo'. I thought it was a brilliant rendition of the song completely making it sound different but still recognisable.

Girls

Misha Bryan <--- this girl knows she's good but when you've got the talent why not? I hope her confidence doesn't make her come across as arrogant because this is more likely to put the naive British voting public off. I'm looking forward more to seeing Misha in the live finals than I ever will be watching Ellie Vickers (aka Janet Devlin).

Amelia Lily <--- the other girl who has impressed me is Amelia. Yes, she's very "Aguilera" but it's no big deal to me. She is a great singer and I'm sure when Leona auditioned for X Factor there were groans of "pfft, she just sounds like Mariah". Kelly Rowland has two great singers here. Sadly I think Janet Devlin will be the most successful in this category.

Groups

At this very moment, I'm not keen on any of the groups. I think the fact they've made The Risk at judges houses before the live shows smacks of desperation to have at least one "good" group that can make it to at least the halfway stage of the competition. It just seems that they've formed this group because the producers (Simon Cowell?) knows how terrible this category is. Considering all this, I wouldn't be at all surprised if The Risk turned out to be the best group in the contest.

Overs

Samantha Brookes <--- hard to believe Louis was going to send Sami home despite being one of the best singers in the category in favour of Goldie. Thankfully Goldie saw sense and quit. Well done!!! :) I reckon Sami will prove popular with the public and could well be the last one standing in the group although she does remind me a bit too much of failed reality TV winner Michelle McManus.

Kitty Brucknell <--- but what's this?!!! Yes, there are actually two in the overs category I, not so much like but they've caught my attention in a good way. :D Where Katie Waissel failed miserably last year as the token "controversial" contestant, the one thing that automatically makes Kitty 100 times better is she can sing. :D Like Misha, these two will end up being Marmite contestants - neither will win because they're just not "nice" enough to appeal to the housewives and the OAP's. For me, this girl is talented and maybe she does need the extra quirky bits to make her stand out and make an impression with the public. I just feel it'll only take her so far and she'll probably go by week 5 of the live shows.

I just read an article claiming Kelly was put off Jade because she was a satanist and Kelly is a strong christian. If thats the reason she didn't get through then thats ridiculous, as religion shouldn't be taken into account at all. Doubt its the reason, the catogery was just so strong, even though I think Jade should have got through over Janet.
I read that about Jade earlier as well. It's a bit of a stupid reason though I doubt it's true. Feasibly it was just competition, though Jade is better than Janet.

I smell BS.

Boys: Happy with Marcus and Frankie, but would have picked John and Joe over Craig and James as they'd have a better chance of doing well

Girls: Glad the spoiler was wrong and Sophie did make it through. Not too keen on Misha, but can't deny she is talented and deserved to go through

Groups: What is the point of a group even auditioning for the show anymore? Only 1 original group made it through. I'd laugh if The Risk turned out to be awful.. How can you put through a group that you've never heard perform together ? Saying that.. I do like the other three groups. I hope Rythmix can actually connect with the public and don't turn into another Belle Amie. Nu Vibe will last and be marketed like another One Direction

Overs: What a joke. The whole category = Fail

Edit:

LOL at Marlon on twitter "If I auditioned for X Factor again I fear I'd probably end up in the girls category... LOL! I wont be back x"

He's auditioned quite a few times.. and ended up finding himself in the Boys in 2008, Overs last year and Groups this year

This might sound OTT and reading too much into what is essentially nothing but maybe The Risk were already a group anyways and they've had all their X Factor "journey" heavily edited/manipulated to make it look like they were genuine solo acts/groups with other members and the producers knew all along that The Risk with those 4 members were going to be a group.

That's why it won't surprise me if they're the best group. It just seems all a bit "too good to be true" if that makes any sense.

Rythmix have to be the hot favourites to go out first. Even I am not fussed for them.

Early odds:

Janet Devlin - 11/4

Amelia Lily - 9/2

James Michael - 8/1

Frankie Cocozza - 10/1

Marcus Collins - 10/1

Sophie Habibis - 10/1

Misha Bryan - 12/1

Craig Colton - 14/1

Nu Vibe - 14/1

The Risk - 16/1

Sami Brookes - 20/1

Rhythmix - 20/1

Jonjo Kerr - 33/1

2Shoes - 33/1

Kitty Brucknell - 40/1

Johnny Robinson - 50/1

Looking good for Louis :P

So far they are the favourites to go, with 2 Shoes, Johnny and Kitty behind them.

2 Shoes are outstanding though.

I'll be very surprised if they go out as early as those odds suggest, I think they'll get the public on side in the way that Stacey Solomon did in 2009, they'll be in it for quite a while I reckon...

Boys: I genuinely don't mind Frankie you know. He's a bit of a knob admittedly, but he's cute all the same. I quite like biscuit factory boy and Marcus too. Properly love James though, he's gorgeous. I was at one point very worried Gary was going to ruin everything and not put anyone attractive through. Thought Gary and Robbie together was rather superb, they are now effectively a married couple and the fact they didn't snog at the end is a grave disappointment. I am however slightly concerned at the number of times Gary said the boys touched him, and following Gary saying he was going to be on the boys all day, well....

Girls: Love Mischa and her ever changing weave. Have no idea who Sophie is, and I rather like Amelia Lily too. I uqite liked the Melanie girl too, but really there was a whole bunch of blonde girls in this category who nobody knew who they were and who therefore nobody gave a shit about. Hate Janet though. It's like her face offends me. We don't need Diana Vickers, let alone a second rate one. And I refuse to accept 'POOR ME, I LIVE IN A FIELD' as a sob-story. (Because I'm claiming it as my own next years).

Overs: Or 'The Elderly' as I like to think of them. I suggest sacking Louis and just making Sinitta the judge. Bit of a shame Carolynne didn't get through, but the lack of airtime always suggested this. Surprised he let Sami go, since I think she's the only one who he has any real chance of going all that far with. Love Johnny Robinson though, I want him to sing a Girls Aloud medley at some point. Gutted at Goldie quitting, there could have been so much amazingness to come out of that.

Groups: Two Shoes are amazing. This is all. Tulisa's game of musical chairs is getting a bit boring though. I half expect her to keep changing them every week from now on, to the extent that by week 5, one of her bands will consist of Sinitta, Goldie, herself and homeless person they picked off the street. Give it a rest woman. The other groups barely registered with me.

Hate judges houses on the whole. I miss the days when they were rapped in quickly in less than two hours in one night. Though we did get to see Sinitta under a net and Jennifer Hudson & Kelly Rowland having a bitch about Katy Perry I suppose (I like to think they do this every Saturday night).

I want the BIG TWIST to involve Tulisa going mental and swapping round most of the contestants for the UMPTEENTH time.
