Hoorah :cheer: #teamMaroon5

Not sure how much of an effect the performing of recent songs will have on their fortunes in the charts. Obviously it will have some effect but didn't the first live show last year have some current hits too, which I don't remember being boosted much (Barbra Streisand definitely being one for example).

Ignoring the elephant in the room now are we? Just The Way You Are would have a word with your logic :P That was even on the same week as 'Barbra Streisand'!

Is that the Natalia Kills song?!

The A Team could manage to beat Party Rock Anthem and Give Me Everything's top 10 runs after all then!

plus I think Billionaire climbed back up to 11 from 26th

Ah well, let's look at the positive side -

Fix You

will get yet another boost

and overtake the Glee version

:P

And

The A Team could get another week in the top 10 and outdo LMFAO/Pitbull after all - Maroon 5 will still overtake it though

And of course

it means Maroon 5 won't be this iconic #2 after all - it going to #1 if its best chance of bering forgotten in the future, although it probably won't be forgotten either way unfortunately

.

Not to mention The A Team and The Edge of Glory both had massive boosts recently. I remember Love the Way You Lie got a good boost from last year when Cher performed it aswell, even though she performed Rihanna's version which wasn't on iTunes.

And Moves Like Jagger itself got a big boost from X Factor last week.

But I remember Airplanes got performed last year and didn't do much. :( The performance was quite poor though, not least since they decided to attempt to sing the verses rather than rap them. :drama:

Oh for fuck's sake, I saw that coming a mile off. Maroon 5 will definitely be #1 this week then -_- -_- -_-

If this gives it the boost required, then that's great.

One week at no.1, that's not too much to ask surely for a track that has been stuck at no.2 for 5 weeks and in the top 3 for 7.

Theres going to be a massive shake up at the top of itunes

Most weeks last year it was just one or two songs which would get a big boost each week, with the rest getting just small boosts, so I think it'll be the same this time. Jar of Hearts and Moves Like Jagger will probably get the biggest boosts.

Yeah I agree, Jar of hearts I can see going top 3 and Moves Like Jagger will have a big boost towards number 1.

You can't ignore what Frankie did for Iris though, I know it's different because The A Team has been around for a while now, but I can see it easily going top 6 or 7. Super Bass could go towards top 10 aswell, but I suppose that is less likely as it is one of the least popular acts singing it

I don't think Jar Of Hearts will have THAT big a boost. That and The A Team will likely both get back to the low top 10 but I don't think either will go top 5. We'll see anyway I guess.

Hopefully Rolling In The Deep and Fix You will go top 40 again as well. And hopefully She Said and Billie Jean can go at least top 100.

Does anyone know what 'Free' actually is? It specifies that 'Believe' is by Cher, but there's no specification for who 'Free' is by.

It's unlikely to get a boost but you could include the Glee version of 'Fix You' in this update.

I should spoiler this but no one else is spoilering so there's no point really.

Maybe Free is by Natalia Kills? But it seems a strange choice, since it's so irrelevent, and if they're desperate to perform one of her songs, surely Champagne Showers is the clear option?

There's also that Estelle song called Free. Both of them are British. I'd put my bets on Estelle, since people actually know who she is.

Is that the Natalia Kills song?!

I doubt it, but I have no idea who's

Free

it is - I'm hoping

Ultra Nate

Ultra Naté seems to have the biggest hit with the title 'Free' so I assume it is that.

I'd hope 'Free' refers to the classic Ultra Nate track

Don't worry, Bre

Maroon 5 will still be remembered as one of those tracks that sold a considerable amount before making no.1

:P But it's surely still in doubt what will happen tomorrow?

Ignoring the elephant in the room now are we? Just The Way You Are would have a word with your logic :P That was even on the same week as 'Barbra Streisand'!

Fair enough, I hadn't gone back to research it and had forgotten about that. But it has seemed that traditonally, the songs with the biggest chart boosts have come in the audition/boot camp stages as opposed to the live show stages for whatever reason. Sure it will help Moves Like Jagger back up a lot percentage wise (probably not back up enough to overhaul We Found Love on iTunes) but I really don't see the likes of The A Team and Jar Of Hearts getting *that* much of a boost.

Ultra Naté seems to have the biggest hit with the title 'Free' so I assume it is that.

Deniece Williams? Although I bet there isn't anyone on X-Factor who could hit the notes in that song!
