April 7, 201213 yr Kate and Bo were the two stand-outs tonight - especially Kate!! She had the quirky voice I like - see Diana :kink:
April 7, 201213 yr I did like Bo she could go all the way, the best act I've seen on the series so far.
April 7, 201213 yr Author My favourites tonight were Bo, Kate and of course Joelle (who is my favourite of all who we've seen so far actually!) I'm still thinking Jessie has the winner though.
April 7, 201213 yr What I don't like about this show is, the fact people who have had a career before are trying. Surely a country of 65m would have some outstanding newbies? I think with the ex-pop stars - because the UK doesn't have open pre-selections for Eurovision (not as if we chose right anyway), this is their way to get noticed again. I liked the rock guy, but this being the UK it's all safey-safey ballad type....if this was US or any other Euro nation he'd have made it and gone far.
April 7, 201213 yr I have to say that when I see good people like Alys and rock man not get picked by anyone it does make me dislike this show a little bit more. I don't get why none of the judges went for them, yes rock guy was a little arrogant, but that often goes with the territory and he was a hell of a lot better than a lot of what they've been foaming over. Also, without wishing to be too predictable, but Jessie J truly is a repulsive creature. The whole trance like state she seemingly goes into during each performance would be a good time to STAB HER THROUGH THE HEART. If indeed she even has one. Why is she vile!? She gets into the song and feels it. Considering she is judging a singing competition I'd say it was quite good that she knows her music and feels it emotionally. I absolutely love her and think she's the best judge by far. I used to think she was a bit annoying but The Voice shows just how funny and up for a good time she is. Just a bit special sometimes  but in a good way. ^_^ Will.i.am came across well tonight, although like Jark said, very camp, he was in a right weird mood. Really liking him on it though. Danny and Tom are shit, Danny just chooses the same kind of voices everytime, not gonna have much of a variety on his team and as for Tom -_- he just chooses all the old average people. There were a few good ones tonight, Joelle was probably my favourite. I liked her on the X Factor but she was definitely too young then, she's matured well and I'd say she stands a good chance. Bo was good but I think she'll be a bit samey, doesn't have much range or power. I know Tyler wasn't amazing but I really like the guy and think he'll definitely sparkle in the live shows, was just lacking a bit. Although I'd definitely say he was stoned when he auditioned, eyes were f***ed! I'm still annoyed that they didn't put the opera girl from week one through, she was amazing and a lot better than some of the tripe they've put through. Edited April 7, 201213 yr by Johnny

I agree that people feeling it is a good thing, but she manages to come across as deeply unpleasant doing it. That's on top of her horrific persona, the 'attitude' and her bizarre inability to say things normally.
April 7, 201213 yr I can't stop rewatching Kate's performance! I love it! Especially those last 10 seconds - amazing!!
April 8, 201213 yr Bo has a nice tone to her voice but she is going to be hated by the public. 'Just cos I have a posh name, and went to a posh school people think I was spoon fed' lol... I thought the rock guy was quite good. Surprised nobody picked him. Got to say that's my only gripe with the show, that although they are looking for diversity, a lot of the acts picked so far are much of a muchness...
April 8, 201213 yr Tyler James :o A three small hit wonder in the UK! I saw him live supporting Natasha Bedingfield once, good enough voice but looking at him stare at the floor for half an hour was irritating beyond belief, I see he's still doing the same now... I saw him supporting Amy Winehouse and they were both amazing at the time, he was FAR better then than he was last night. I always thought he had potential and I do think he's probably got the mentor that's most likely to be able to help him too.
April 8, 201213 yr Tyler James was on The Voice? Who's next, Kristian Leontiou? (Shining was an ace song).
April 8, 201213 yr Tyler James was on The Voice? Who's next, Kristian Leontiou? (Shining was an ace song). Probably the girl from Jemini :D Eu5kgSeZHfw
April 8, 201213 yr Author Deneice Patterson was much worse in the 'already had a career, but I'll greedily go for a recording contract on a talent show' stakes
April 8, 201213 yr I really liked Tyler James. It seems like he has a lot of potential and can do even better than he showed yesterday. Joelle was very good and Bo was decent aswell. Didn't really like the woman who did If I Were A Boy though. She started pretty good but was basically shouting herself through the chorus. Not surprised Tom went for her, I don't think I like anyone who is in his team so far. Edited April 8, 201213 yr by Poker Face
April 8, 201213 yr I agree about the woman singing Beyonce. No disrepect, but anyone can sing that song. It's so false and emotionless....like all of her songs.
April 8, 201213 yr I actually like Jessie J on this. To be honest I've never had a problem with her as a person. It's her music, her marketing and the way she refuses to just sing the bloody song that make her an awful popstar but as a TV personality she's pretty much perfect for this show. I do like the chemistry the judges have together. Individually I'm not the biggest fan of any of them but as a unit they seem to have gelled.
April 8, 201213 yr Can anyone who has seen the US version explain what happens as they near the end of the auditions? For example, what happens if there are three contenders to go but only two places left? Similarly, what happens if they get to the end of the auditions and one or more of the judges hasn't got a full slate? Can they give a reprieve to earlier contestants?
April 9, 201213 yr Author I'm not actually sure what happens if they don't have a full team, miraculously that never happens, good question though, I wonder if it will happen here as we're more dramatic with our reality shows :P It does get tougher near the end though (especially when one or two judges have their teams full) as even if someone is really amazing they may be rejected still because they're not what the coach is looking for. Christina Aguilera was last to fill her team this series, she rejected one amazing girl in particular but she eventually found someone. I wonder did they tell everyone else to go home then as all slots were filled? That's the bit of the for at I find unfair, you have to be lucky enough to not be at the very end, though I guess after producer auditions they place all the proper amazing ones so that they are spread out to each episode but also so that none are missed.
April 9, 201213 yr Actually that is an interesting point. Surely it'd be a bit too co-incidental if all four coaches just happen to end the audition process with exactly 10 members on their team. Maybe if they chose who they liked regardless of numbers in the auditions, then if they had teams of 11, 14, 12 and 14 (doesn't matter who has which number) then that coach has to then whittle their team down to 10 meaning 1, 4, 2 and 4 would be cut. Imagine the heartbreak when they're told they're not going through. I bet Simon Cowell would love this idea (perfect TV?).
April 10, 201213 yr If I recall correctly in the first series of the us one at least Blake didn't have a full team after everyone had auditioned so they got to decide who they wanted to see again from earlier
