May 15, 201213 yr Author YES. I knew it was coming as she was a Battle Advisor, but it's good to see confirmation :D Definite top 10 for PUTP then, possibly top 5
May 15, 201213 yr Looking forward to Paloma and all going well it will get her 2nd album campaign of to a strong start.
May 16, 201213 yr Seeing as I'm super bored I'm gonna rate all the remaining contestants. Team Will: Jaz - 5/10. He's getting so overhyped it's unreal. Getting the pimp spot ~twice~ and having the story of his pregnant wife to help him get further in the show, when he's like a totally average singer. He seems like a cool enough guy, but I don't like how much they're trying to give him an advantage on winning. Tyler - 9/10. I really think he's brilliant. His falsetto is crazy good, and I think he's wow'd a lot of people and proven actually how great he is. Seems like a lovely guy, with a sorta nervousness about him which is quite cute. Team Tom: Ruth - 2/10. It was always obvious that Tom favours her over anyone in his team, and although she can sing, I don't like her voice, and she has the tendency to shout her way through every song which is not at all appealing. Leanne - 4/10. While she's good, she sorta reminds me of another Adele, and we don't need another. She doesn't appear to have much personality either, she's quite meh really. I don't think she'd be where she is now if she'd been in a stronger team. Team Jessie: Becky - 9/10. Love her voice, her attitude, how genuine and honest she appears. She just seems like a normal, typical teenage girl who wants a singing career. Probably got one of the best voices in the competition, and I really hope she's in the finale. Vince - 5/10. While he can sing, I'm not sure I always like his singing or his choice of songs. His attitude is what really turns me off though, he comes across as the most annoying/rude/arrogant contestants. His style isn't really my thing either. Cassius - 6/10. Seems like a very cool guy with a great voice. He doesn't seem to have the whole package thing going on though, cus I haven't seen enough personality there for that. I do like him though, and he has a nice sort of aura. Toni - 1/10. Cannot believe she's got this far. I think half of the reason is out of sympathy. She can sing, although I don't like her voice at all, just nothing about her appeals to me at all. Team Danny: Aleks - 10/10. My very favourite since his audition. I really believe people are underestimating him and his popularity on this show. He's a fantastic singer, with a beautiful tone to his voice, and a really genuine lovely guy. He's sorta under confident, but you can see how much he's progressing every week, and I'm so excited for every performance he does. He's got an amazing personality, and also he's srsly hot. Max - 8/10. Comes across as a nice guy, quite confident (from experience I think), has a great voice, and really cool style. He knows what type of artist he wants to be and that's always a start. He's good looking aswell which is always a bonus. Bo - 9/10. Love her voice, it's so calm and relaxing and just beautiful really. Can't take to her personality though, she seems a bit distant and lost in the song when she's performing. However I guess that's a good connection she has with the song itself and the audience. David - 7/10. Think David's got a good voice, he's just sorta basic compared to the other three he's up against in his team I think. They all seem to have their individual styles, whereas I'm not sure what sort of artist he is. He's cool though, and I do really like him. Also, I'm so excited for Paloma's performance, love her new song! :D Edited May 16, 201213 yr by Staceypigeons
May 19, 201213 yr Song choices for tonight; Max Milner - 'Black Horse and the Cherry Tree' (KT Tunstall) Bo Bruce - 'Love The Way You Lie' (Rihanna) Aleks Josh - 'Better Together' (Jack Johnson) David Julien - 'She Will Be Loved' (Maroon 5) Becky Hill - 'Seven Nation Army' (The White Stripes) Cassius Henry - 'Turning Tables' (Adele) Toni Warne - 'Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word' (Elton John) Vince Kidd - 'My Love Is Your Love' (Whitney Houston) Most excited for Vince and Bo, will be interested to hear their takes on the songs. Becky could be either really good or car crash.
May 19, 201213 yr Ugh. '21' to get number 1 in the albums again next week? :nocheer: I'd say it's goodbye to: Toni & Cassius from Team Jessie and then Max & Aleks (controversial I know - but I generally cannot pick! And think Bo has played it well by going for a Rihanna song which she should nail whilst David is definitely giving me a Matt Cardle vibe.) from Team Danny. Danny's team is ridiculously strong though!
May 19, 201213 yr Massive step-down from his "Freefallin'" for Max, which was a shame. I liked when he did the rap in the middle, but apart from that it was all rather pedestrian. Cassius is such a boring singer. With "Paradise", I could forgive him as it wasn't his usual style, but this was basically just a male version of the song. Nothing new at all, but by default I can see him going through next week. Max Milner - "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree / You Need Me, I Don't Need You" Cassius Henry - "Turning Tables"
May 19, 201213 yr Max - Bit of a come down from his last performance, could be going tomorrow. Cassius - As above Bo Bruce - Amazing, she winged it
May 19, 201213 yr Bo's a really good singer, but again sang the song a bit too similar to the original. I like her tone though, and hope she is the winner of Danny's team (now that Max has majorly disappointed me and the other two are nothing special). Bizarre "arrangement" for Vince Kidd's performance. He's a good singer, but that song did him no favours - he should've gone back to the style he did for "Like a Virgin". Bo Bruce - "Love the Way You Lie (Part II)" Vince Kidd - "My Love is Your Love" Max Milner - "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree / You Need Me, I Don't Need You" Cassius Henry - "Turning Tables"
May 19, 201213 yr Vince - He sounded like he mumbled his way through, I just didn't get that version, its probably the track sounds better in its original form. Aleks - He looked a bit bored singing it, just didn't get his hands in the pockets at the beginning, could be leaving tomorrow.
May 19, 201213 yr I like Aleks' vocals and his performances to-date, but he's really bad at enunciating the lyrics! It was very similar to the original as well... He really needs a slap as well. Becky's performance was so so bad. Her voice is really grating and doesn't really suit any of the songs she's sung... Plus she did that exactly like the original. Bo Bruce - "Love the Way You Lie (Part II)" Aleks Josh - "Better Together" Vince Kidd - "My Love is Your Love" Max Milner - "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree / You Need Me, I Don't Need You" Cassius Henry - "Turning Tables" Becky Hill - "Seven Nation Army"
May 19, 201213 yr Becky - Was bit of a train wreck this week, probably the track didn't suit her voice. David - Not bad at all, not his best performance though Today's performances haven't really stood out apart from Bo Bruce.
May 19, 201213 yr Everything is complete CAR CRASH this week. From Jessie's microphone not working, Vince & Becky's cringey personalities, Becky swearing during her performance, Holly having to cut the show short, Will.i.am pulling a hissy fit. It all started so promising as well :(.
May 19, 201213 yr I agree with the pedestrian comments towards David. He's such a boring personality too. I liked it a bit, but it's one of my favourite songs of all time, which he didn't give justice to. Emotional performance from Toni, certainly a lot more bearable than her past few. Jessie's team is rather weak on the whole though, so I can see her going through. 01. Bo Bruce - "Love the Way You Lie (Part II)" 02. Aleks Josh - "Better Together" 03. Vince Kidd - "My Love is Your Love" 04. Max Milner - "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree / You Need Me, I Don't Need You" 05. Toni Warne - "Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word" 06. David Julien - "She Will Be Loved" 07. Cassius Henry - "Turning Tables" 08. Becky Hill - "Seven Nation Army"
