February 19, 201213 yr How did they cost you that much? Did you not get advance tickets? It's not like the Midlands is THAT far away from you! Try buying Kopparberg IN Sweden and see if it seems so expensive in comparison then  Late response! Yeah, the tickets are advance but the problem is that there aren't any direct trains from Colchester - you've got to go through London and then get on the morning trains, which is killer for prices even with a railcard :arrr: Probably less expensive than in Sweden, but when you're used to £2.50 for a pint at Students' Union prices it's a bit of a culture shock!

Bad luck. I'm travelling from Brighton to north Wales tomorrow, and back on Wednesday. £20 return! Now lets hope I don't miss any of the connections
February 19, 201213 yr Emilia De Poret's tweets about 'thinking seriously about emigrating' made me laugh as much as Linda's outburst
February 19, 201213 yr Right gonna watch this now as I went on a b'day bash last night. The crappy SVT Player options already spoilt it for me and I know Mattias, Love Generation and the two bland nobodies were eliminated. But WHO qualified DTG? Biting my nails. Hilarious spelling lesson there by Sarah and Gina, but what happened to the other one? 01. Youngblood - Youngblood It's actually more painful than I thought it would be. The chorus is tuneless, there is absolutely no melody and the staging is very mediocre. They got the torches but how they chose to use them was just a facepalm moment for me. 02. Maria BenHajji - I Mina Drommar This was actually quite pleasant. She sang very well and the song came across as quite lovely. It would never take her to that Top 4 though. 03. Mattias Andreasson - Forlat Mig I LIKE THIS A LOT! Far from being a stomper, but I really liked this. Must be the sythbass. Those lights should've been made into a whole 3 minute spectacle Mattias, not just fiddling with it for 5 seconds! Didn't Danny teach you anything? 04. Love Generation - Just a Little Bit Catchier than I originally thought, it's still not what I wanted after Dance Alone. Song and performance wise. Last year's performance was minimalistic and effectic whereas this year they went with the "everything but the kitchen sink" theory which obviously DOESN'T WORK! A good thing they can take away from Leksand though is Maria BenHajji. If the brunette one quits the group in the next few months then they can replace her with Maria and no one will tell the difference. 05. Carolina Wallin Perez - Sanningen Again, quite pleasant but not enough to make the cut. It's nice to know that SVT wants a bit of musical variety in their competition though. I found it pitiful rather than cute her move of handing butterflies to audience members. I only blame whoever thought of the walk to the stage gimmick. 06. Andreas Johnsson - Lovelight And here he is again. Retire already. This song only reminds me of 1999 so I don't really have anything else to say. 07. Molly Sanden - Why Am I Crying? Here she comes to the stage all dressed up to rock it out and I expect her to sing her own "Since U Been Gone" number. But no! It is indeed another ballad. And contrary to my first thoughts this sounds HUGE and it's clearly THE ballad of the year. I imagine Silas and Tirren both cummed with this one! THIS BIATCH IS GOING DTG ISN'T SHE?!! 08. Bjorn Ranelid feat. Sara Li - Mirakel THIS IS AMAZING! An akward stomper which I would NEVER dream of! Sara Li is a goddess too! Catchiest number of the night! This is obviously the winner of this heat! And hence, my prediction DTG: Bjorn Ranelid och Sara Li; Molly Sanden AC: Youngblood; Andreas Johnsson 5th: Love Generation 6th: Mattias Andreasson 7th: Carolina Wallin Perez 8th: Maria BenHajji So Mattias came 5th as in my original prediction. No surprises there! This Sirqus Alfon cover was very good indeed but I was disappointed they didn't chose My Heart Is Refusing Me Instead. :( Molly Sanden DIREKT TIL FINALEN obviously!!! Bjorn to follow! :D YES!!! Andreas is relegated to the Andra Chansen round and Mirakel goes through!!! TUNAGE! HA! Great show this week.
February 19, 201213 yr What happened to the third host by the way? Is she back for the final, did I just not notice her or was she given the chop? Also, you can rewatch the show for a day or so if you wish here: http://svtplay.se/t/102943/melodifestivalen Fast forward to 46:50 for a treat.
February 19, 201213 yr Author I think she's more of a 'Dolph Lundgren' host, being in the interval acts and stuff. I imagine she will return at least for the Final.
February 19, 201213 yr Mattias Andreasson is at #5 on the Swedish iTunes and further down the chart you can find Love Generation at #93. :o
February 19, 201213 yr It's number 2 on my feed :o Love Generation 16 and Maria BenHajii at 100, none the rest even appearing  Molly is at 97 with Så Vill Stjärnorna, I guess only the DNQs are released, for the same reason they take everything off YT?
February 19, 201213 yr Author Of course. If all entries were released, they would no doubt occupy the whole Top 24.
February 19, 201213 yr Author http://cs5751.vk.com/u1732361/-14/x_b98b9f8b.jpg Looks like not only Swedish celebs are not happy with Mirakel qualifying. :o

February 19, 201213 yr Mirakel is a MESS, but I can cope with it because Bjorn's AWFUL singing at the start of the final chorus is comedy gold. It's like your old homosexual perma-tanned uncle forgetting where he is at a wedding and starting to sing along to ABBA or whatever *.*

It's like your old homosexual perma-tanned uncle forgetting where he is at a wedding and starting to sing along to ABBA or whatever *.* It's hilarious, I can't stop watching that car crash of a performance, a real highlight! In fact Bjorn's over the top reaction to EVERYTHING is amazing, especially after being told that they're through to the final, the first pumping and facial expressions  Can't believe Sweden are taking it so seriously, good god, it's not as if it's going to win. Are they REALLY all up in arms about it taking away a final spot from Andreas Johnson for the 98th time or a disappointing boyband song? And Sara Li doesn't deserve the backlash, take away Bjorn from the equation and it's a strong pop song, a solo version would soar in BJSC.
February 19, 201213 yr What happened to the third host by the way? Is she back for the final, did I just not notice her or was she given the chop? She is an actress in a theatre in Stockholm, I think she is coming back to 4th deltävling :)

I was disappointed it got through, not gonna lie, but none of this happened when we ended up with Josh Dubovie or Andy Abraham  But I guess Sweden DO take ESC a lot more seriously....

I was disappointed it got through, not gonna lie, but none of this happened when we ended up with Josh Dubovie or Andy Abraham  But I guess Sweden DO take ESC a lot more seriously.... I guess it did happen here with Scooch, because we had a better Eurovision option in Cyndi. But Josh/Andy's only competition was the same song by even worse singers or an absolutely hopeless bunch that would have all done as badly as Even If at Eurovision (Revelations' It's You excepted but it didn't even make the final three so it's not like many people cared about it :(). I suppose that the MF final is seen as this prestigious event in Sweden and that people think that Mirakel will make a mockery of it. Had it got to the final in place of two absoutely sensational songs, and potential Eurovision winners then I could see their point, but it's not like Andreas or Youngblood massively deserved to be in the final any moreso than Mirakel! Youngblood is Kempe's weakest song in a while and whilst I love Love Light, it's not as if Andreas has been deprived of MF final appearances in the past! I'm expecting at least one if not both of them to make it out of Andra Chansen anyway

I don't know why it makes it more unacceptable than Sean Banan, but maybe because he wasn't just shouting random nonsense over the top of a dance track.
