Jenny Lo clearly heading for a major flop with Papi :( I knew it wasn't gonna be a major hit but I thought it'd do better than this.

If she gets to perform this on The X Factor, which I think is quite likely, then I definitly see it top 20 at least.

Can "Moves Like Jagger" still hit #1? God, I hope so.

I really, really doubt it. They could have another week at #2 though

Well she has now finished her filming for her new movies so there is no reason why she shouldn't. I think she would kill it on the show

He *is* different from the previous XF winners. Without wanting to sound like a massive cliché he is arguably the first 'real' artist to come out of the X Factor. You can call him pretentious all you want but the point is he is a talented songwriter with history in the music business (he was in a band called Seven Summers) and he went on the XF to get his music noticed, not necessarily to get his music to sell. Which is why it's ridiculous that Syco are forcing him to release the only song on the album that he didn't write as the first single. The whole POINT of Matt Cardle is that he's a songwriter, why give him a Gary Barlow song as the first single?

Starting to go off on a bit of a tangent there so I'll stop.

That is why Matt will fall flat on his face it is pretentious and ridiculous to try and shake off the X-factor tag now he has entered the show, won and now needs the show to give his career any momentum. If he were a real artist who was writing songs and gigging in a band he should have stayed doing that. Instead he made a choice to enter a reality contest. Both Leona and Alex were writing songs and gigging before X-factor, they are in no way lesser artists than Matt. Of course he went on X-factor to make a living in music and to sell his music or he would have stayed in Seven Summers.

My reply to this is the post you quoted minus the first two sentences.

"Power" up to #56, is it too much to hope it gets performed on the X Factor this weekend? :kink: In all seriousness, if iTunes dropped the price to 59p now it would probably get a new peak. Would still only make two top 40s off "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" though, people go on about "Runaway" not making it but for me "Monster" is even better. All Nicki Minaj's success this year and her best verse/song has done bugger all over here.

Was 'Monster' ever even released as a proper single in the UK? People often lump it in with 'Runaway' in shameful non-top-40 hits from MBDTF () but I'm almost certain it was only a 'single' in the USA.

Runaway's failure was truly a dark day for the UK chart. I live in hope it'll somehow some day go at least top 40.

Kate Bush is now available on iTunes :dancing:

Obvious :no1: is obvious :no1: ... :cheer:

... rather #101...

Has she entered the top 1000 yet with Wild Man?

As much as I like 'Runaway', I think its incredibly overrated, and most of the rest of MBDTF is even better. The album is one of my favourite albums of the last 5 years, but for me, Runaway is not outstanding and is only very good.

Gaga

You & I #18 + #140 + #817

Edge of Glory #27 + #185

Born This Way #49 + #216

Yes she has

Wild Man at 298 (Radio Edit) and 385

and Wuthering Heights is at 956

If only Wuthering Heights could be used on XF and re-enter top 40  It's my fave track from the 70s, and I like it more than any song from the 80s and most from the 90s. One of my all time faves!
Ooh, that's not so bad then! Might even crack the top 100 tomorrow as it's only been put online in the past few hours or so.

What's this Kate Bush song?

She had a top 100 hit earlier this year with 'Deeper Understanding' (#87). I can't remember if that only entered due to physical sales though. I don't think it did.

I think it's my least favourite of the four singles sometimes (although that's usually "All Of The Lights") as I completely adore both "Power" and "Monster". I'm not sure if "Monster" was an official single here, I don't think so given its single / EP isn't on iTunes (but neither is "All Of The Lights"' so who knows?) but in this day and age it should have made SOME chart impact due to the sheer calibre of the featured artists if nothing else. Rick Ross notwithstanding, all the other performers have had considerable UK success in 2011 (Kanye, Jay-Z, Nicki and Bon Iver).

'Runaway' is my runaway favourite (pun 100% intended) on the album and my favourite Kanye song ever.

Wuthering Heights WAS used on the X Factor a few weeks back (and didn't go top 40 ).

I remember, because coincidentally it was performed on X Factor the same week as Free by Natalia Kills got released, and I pointed out that the two songs sound the same (and then everybody started having a go at me  ).

Monster by Kanye West (ANOTHER song called Monster ), I'm not sure if it was released as a single officially or not, but I follow Kanye's songs on iTunes regularly. It was in the top 300 for a while immediately after the album was released, and got back in the top 300 again months later when its music video was released (even though the music video got banned (Kanye was NOT happy about that!)).

It's sad that his songs haven't done very well, but based on the music scene we have this year, I'm not surprised. I hope (and think) in the future the music tastes of the general public will change back to a stage where songs like that can be commercially successful here. He released the album at a bad time for the UK, but in the US it gets the critical acclaim that it deserves.

Deeper Understanding was download only.

Wild Man is her latest single from her upcoming album 50 Words For Snow out November 21st.

There's also a album version that's 7:16 long...
