For the new releases, I'm going to predict:

Joe Jonas - Just In Love - 68

Kelly Clarkson – Mr Know It All - 3 (next week after X-Factor, about 6ish this week)

Lana Del Rey - Video Games / Blue Jeans - 2

Nero - Crush On You - 28

The Wanted – Lightning - 1

If only Lana had an XF slot, she'd be number 1

 Ah well, I suppose I can look at the upsides of M5 being #2 again... (equalling an unwanted record by All-4-One and making SH not GCH's highest peaking single)

This'll be the third #3 single where poor Travie is the primary vocalist and he's never been top 2 :drama:

Coldplay are back in the top 20 again with 'Paradise' :o If they get a video out before the release of Mylo Xyloto this could still amazingly be a top 20 single!

'Fix You' at #61, it better have done enough to stay top 40 officially for tomorrow or someone is going to be STABBED.

Pro Green is Labrinth's main opposition, Simon is smarter than that I think.

Just heard the remix of Rebecca Fergusons' single and I think she will blow up.

Pre-Order Update:

16th October-Lana at 7, The Wanted at 72

23rd October-Labrinth at 30, Professor Green at 46

30th October-Cher Lloyd at 94, Danza Kuduro at 157

They played the remix of her song on Radio 1 aswell. I hate it when the premiere the remix before the original though, since you get used to the remix, then the original sounded all weird. The same happened with Good Girl by Alexis Jordan, where Scott Mills was playing the Freemasons remix on Floorfillers for a few weeks before the original got its radio premiere. :drama:

More to the point - WTF *is* she, and why have I never heard of her until now?

Predictions for new releases:

1 The Wanted - Lightning

2 Lana Del Rey - Video Games

4 Kelly Clarkson - Mr. Know It All (about #7 next week, then climbing the week after due to XF)

90 Joe Jonas - Just In Love (if SNM could only get to #53 I can't see this doing any better)

Crush On You is probably only going to peak in the high 30s at best it seems, shame it's barely made any progress since it first made the iTunes top 40 like three weeks ago :(

More to the point - WTF *is* she, and why have I never heard of her until now?

Do you actually ever read the threads on BuzzJack? There seems to be an awful lot of things you don't know about for weeks/months even when people are constantly talking about them.

I think you'd probably love her, it's about as far away from autotuned urban as you can get  Think Paloma Faith mixed with a sprinkle of Nancy Sinatra and you're there. She's got so much hype around her, I think she'll be huge in 2012, like Jessie J, except Lana will have a top 2 to her name this year!

I hope it's no.2 as well, but I don't think the record is 'unwanted'. Even the most rabid MLJ fan will have given up on it ever being no.1 now, so it might as well equal that quite extraordinary chart feat.

I have to say, I do feel like such an idiot now for telling everybody not to worry, that Moves Like Jagger would get #1 in a few weeks every week. :drama:

TBH, no - I only really read the Sales, polls, & iTunes charts threads. Also, I never listen to the radio except for the chart show. My interest is mainly in the charts as an entity, more than the music they contain. If I happen to like the songs in them, that's just a bonus.

And the pre-order and fake version of Video Games have been talked about on iTunes threads for at least a fortnight!

But if its a totally new artist, their name will still mean nothing to me...

Rihanna with that sneaky mid-week release was the real sickener though. It would have *cruised* there otherwise.

Still, it will be one of the bestsellers of the year, sell a million early next year and far outsell all the 6 tracks it was thwarted by, except for Rihanna which will reach a pretty good total, even by year end.

MLJ must still be shifting 70-75k for this week. This track won't be gone from the top 40 for a *very* long time......

But if its a totally new artist, their name will still mean nothing to me...

Don't worry. I understand what you mean (even though nobody else seems to ).

I don't think MLJ will have much more than 60k sales this week, I think its sales are now finally going to start properly dropping.

'Sneaky midweek release'? You make it sound like she released midweek specifically to stop M5 from getting to #1

Even though the song has been mentioned in the iTunes thread a lot over the past few weeks?

She is Midge Ure's daughter.

11 David Guetta ft Usher/ Without You

24 The Calling/ Wherever You Will Go

29 Maroon 5/ She Will Be Loved Could this sneak into the UK Top40 tomorrow?

She is American, her name is Lizzy Grant and her dad is a domain investor called Rob Grant. So no, she sure isn't Midge Ure's daughter
