Syco should know by now that the lead single needs to be a smash to grab attention and build momentum. Run for your life was not that single, Gary Barlow tie in or not it is underwhelming. Matt is a good singer but it does not showcase what he can do. I hope the nest single is better as he has alot of potential.

I agree i am not a fan but at least he has made the album the way he wanted, and even if he fails i cant see him ever going down the cover album route.

Not as I recall, I think both tracks were listed as Album Only and you had to buy the whole thing for whatever artisté you want. I do see the point though.

It's probably not a case of thinking 'he's too good for it' more the fact that he doesn't want to do it. Even people whose careers are floundering don't do cover albums. Matt is a musician and wants to make music not cover it just like any other artist.

They were saying he would never do a full album of covers. Every X-factor winner released a cover for their winners single (I believe anyway) so Matt was no different.

Everyone who goes on X-factor has no career, thats why they go on the show.

He went on X Factor to get noticed. In order to be on X Factor you have to do covers. Most artists want a record deal to be able to record their own music and most likely wouldn't do a covers album because they want to make music more than they want to sell it. Why can't Matt be the same? Please don't come back with some idiotic spamming remark. It's getting old.
