I think us having similar tastes in music means that more often than not, Batidas will approve of the FSR Rontvia track of the month. Thanks to your 10 points given to 'Red Hot' you now top my "most voted for" BJSC spreadsheet. :D Speaking of which, I haven't had any time these last few days to even think about searching for new music. I've been dealing with some personal stuff but I shall try and start looking again later on/this week. That said, I've not entered anything (yet) into Unknown Pleasures but there's just nothing that seems like a worthy entry - if I don't find anything, I may have to miss entering UP. :(

I'm going to be a complete and utter iLoon this week. You have been warned. :lol: It's always those songs that top my personal chart before the official UK release. Believe it or not, there have been several of these over the last 7 years. I'm curious to know how much the #1 on iTunes Albums chart sells as the 'Video Games EP' is #1 there whilst the single version is around top 30 on iTunes. I'm hoping the EP is a strong seller as seeing 'Video Games' make the top 5 (at least) next week would be incredible.

I really like 'Run For Your Life' for some reason. That said, it's always been a close call between this and 'Stereo Hearts'. If this chart was based on sales, I'd probably say there's "less than 100 copies seperating them". Matt has the edge though because I prefer this to his X Factor winners single 'When We Collide', whilst I don't think 'Stereo Hearts' is as good as 'Billionaire' which topped my chart last year.

I'm not 100% sure to be honest but I've been seeing the music video for a few weeks. If it has been added to iTunes then it's doing absolutely nothing. Then again, compare to 'Mr. Saxobeat' this isn't as strong. It's also been in my Pre-Release Chart for weeks so it had to enter eventually. This week seemed like a good enough week to promote the track but evidently from its #13 debut, the chances of this doing as well as 'Mr. Saxobeat' here are slim to none. :kink:

Sean Paul isn't an act I can honestly say I've been a big fan of. As it is, Sean Paul has previously had three singles make my top 20:

Ever Blazin' #20 (which has a chart run of 20-30-OUT) :D <--- I can't recall this song or when it was released off the top of my head :lol:

As for 'Got 2 Luv U', it's clearly Alexis Jordan who makes this song more tolerable. If it was just Sean Paul it'd be lucky to be top 30. The only single by Sean Paul that possibly would've done well in my chart was 'Get Busy' but I wasn't compiling my own chart in 2003.

I'll be missing UP this month too. The song I was going to send I only have in a 192kbs MP3 form and I'm too busy this month anyway to do BOTH BJSC and UP, so BJSC comes first, purely because it's more catered to my tastes and I make more discoveries out of it.

4. I agree, I'd love to see Video Games in the UK top five, I think it will hang around for a few weeks regardless of where it debuts anyway...I saw that she was #1 on iTunes albums, she had to muscle Steps out of the way, who'd have thought that they'd get a #1 album in 2011 :lol:

Two weeks at the top for this eh, is it down to lack of competition?!!! :D It's an okay track I guess but I think both acts have done far better, I was happy that it prevented M5Tina from getting to #1 though! :D

02 (02) Lykke Li - I Follow Rivers (The Magician Remix) (01-02-02) [3 wks]

This is great. The original reached #2 on my chart back in March and I still love it as much now as I did back then. Whilst I am aware of the remix, this version hasn't been released in the UK so I've not heard it that often (aside from the time you sent me the youtube clip) - I like it though as it keeps much of the original while just making it slightly more radio friendly on the whole. Do you know of anywhere I can download it from as it doesn't appear to be on iTunes. :(

Wow, NINE weeks top 4! :o Although I can't blame you, Video Games is a great track which has peaked at #2 for me (so far anyway, it currently has an odd run of 46-03-02-03-05-10-08-07-05-03 so who knows?) - fingers crossed it will get top 10 (or maybe higher :o ) next Sunday.

I'll be missing UP this month too. The song I was going to send I only have in a 192kbs MP3 form and I'm too busy this month anyway to do BOTH BJSC and UP, so BJSC comes first, purely because it's more catered to my tastes and I make more discoveries out of it.

4. I agree, I'd love to see Video Games in the UK top five, I think it will hang around for a few weeks regardless of where it debuts anyway...I saw that she was #1 on iTunes albums, she had to muscle Steps out of the way, who'd have thought that they'd get a #1 album in 2011 :lol:

Yes, I'm officially not entering Unknown Pleasures this month. :( A combination of "personal life" (what is this?!!!) and lack of interesting songs out there in Europe at the moment) has made it impossible for me to find something suitable. I will most likely still check out what's been entered and follow the results.

4. I'm AGOG to see Lana Del Rey's "#9 in pre-orders" being overtaken by Justin Bieber with a Christmas single - and it's gone top 10 already. :drama: I might have to accept that 'Video Games' just isn't going to be a massive hit I'd have liked it to have been. On a lighter note, Lana Del Rey is #3 in Netherlands and #1 in Belguim's Ultratip charts which pretty much means it's heading top 10 with a bullet next week. :D So at least there's excitement for this track in other countries.

18. I got a slight shock when I referred to my 2004-2010 database - it does come in useful though for seeing just how popular artists have been in my chart, and which artists have been the most inconsistant with their singles. 'Breathe' was actually fairly decent but I know even back in 2003 it wasn' a track I thought was incrdible. In fact, I started posting on Top40-Charts.com just before it got released and I predicted it would enter at #3 and drop after that. I also predicted #3 for Black Eyed Peas 'Where Is The Love' iirc. :D

This is great. The original reached #2 on my chart back in March and I still love it as much now as I did back then. Whilst I am aware of the remix, this version hasn't been released in the UK so I've not heard it that often (aside from the time you sent me the youtube clip) - I like it though as it keeps much of the original while just making it slightly more radio friendly on the whole. Do you know of anywhere I can download it from as it doesn't appear to be on iTunes. :(

I actually really like 'We Found Love' and found it really instant - the type of track that I like from first listen. I've also heard this a few times over the last week at work as some people have started listening to the radio at work.

I've grown to like the original over these last few weeks but the Magician Remix is far more to my tastes. The track just didn't register with me earlier in the year. Typically, it was seeing the song doing well in Greece, Cyprus and Macedonia that caught my attention. I was already familiar of Lykke Li - one of her tracks featured in my infamous ChC CD Swap album Fused back in 2008. I'll PM you this version later. ;)

I rarely "love" songs but this is a song I truly love. It's so difficult to explain why I like a song like this so much when another similar song might not even have half the impact on me. The vocals, the instrumentation, the lyrics, the song!!! :D It's such a magical musical moment and I will be gutted if this doesn't make the top 10 in the UK. I'm hoping that it's top 10 in tomorrows first set of midweeks. There's a slight chance it'll continue to do well later in the week.

I've really liked Coldplay's first two singles from their new album so I'm anticipating the album release. I will wait until I've previewed the album tracks but if I like what I hear, I will be persuaded to buy it. Will be interesting to see just how well Coldplay's album sells when released.

Everyone is saying Matt is an arrogant prick and this may be true but there's no denying he's the best male winner we've had on The X Factor. He was so consistant last year in the live finals - there were only a small handful of awkward performances ('Bleeding Love', 'I Love Rock & Roll') but push them aside and you're left with some stunning performances. Once again Syco have proved just out of touch with the music industry they are as Matt's single peaks at #6 selling less than what 'Ambitions' sold this time last year. Syco really need to wake up and realise it's not 2007 anymore and that X Factor winners can't comeback with a #1 for seven weeks. As much as it'd be nice for Matt to get a second chance, he's got no chance of surviving as long as he's signed to Syco.

:D Admittedly, I don't like this anywhere near as much as I did 'Billionaire' from last year. That song had such a brilliant chorus and was setting up Bruno Mars as a successful artist in my chart. 'Stereo Hearts' does kind of grate slightly on the "stereo-oh, oh-oh, oh!!!" purely because it reminds me of 'Where Is The Love' by Black Eyed Peas.

LOVE this. It's grown on me no end over the weeks and is probably now rivalling Memories for my favourite David Guetta single.

'Memories' was terrible. Kid Cudi's gruff vocals grated on me no end. Sia's vocals on this track are absolutely sensational and it really does make this stand out as easily one of Guetta's best productions. It's sad (but typically predictable) that in the UK it's shite like 'Little Bad Girl' that becomes the biggest hit. Even Ireland have made 'Titanium' a hit, and their charts usually mirror the UK charts down to a tee. :D That said, I'm also really liking 'Without You' too although the one thing that ruins the song for me is when Usher starts doing those woeful American style vocal gymnastics. For me, if Usher just sang the song plain it'd sound so much better for it. Alas, it's Usher so plain vocals are a big no-no. :(

10 (10) Will Young - Jealousy (02-02-04-05-06-07-10-10) [8 wks]

'Jealousy' is a fabulous slice of pop and I'm also glad this became a reasonable hit - even if this was mainly down to iTunes reducing the price to 59p. Every little helps. Had it not been for the awe inspiring 'Video Games', there's no doubt this would've bee no. 1 in my chart.

I think it's fair to say the 'Born This Way' era really hasn't lived up to its expectations. The choice of singles have been questionable imo with tracks like 'Judas' sounding incredible on paper but so disappointing in audio. 'The Edge Of Glory' remains by a country mile my fave Lady GaGa single of 2011.

Well, this might do a 'What The Water Gave Me' which whilst I liked enough to put at #15 it wasn't until two weeks later when the track finally clicks. Then along came a load of new releases and pushed it down again. :lol: For a debuting position of #16 and maintaining its peak, this will either climb or slip a few places. I really can't tell at the moment. Depends of what enters next week - and the recent BJSC entries are on the verge of promotion so it's quite possibly going to slip down next week.

I like 'Moves Like Jagger' a lot actually and it's easily my fave Maroon 5 related single. As for Christina Aguilera, there are other singles by her I'd say are better.

Continuing from my comments on Matt Cardle, the fact that Leona's "big comeback" was a half arsed attempt at recreating 'Happiness' by Alexis Jordan spoke volumes. Syco really don't have a clue and continue to prove just how behind the times they are.

Have to admit, I've not got into this track anywhere near as much as Marina's previous singles. Even some of her 2009 pre-'Hollywood' singles fared slightly better. A couple of weeks back at work, one of the salespeople put it on Radio 1 during the lunch hour. When this was played, everyone went silent - and when a group of salespeople go silent you know something's wrong. The next track I remember being played was 'Give Me Everything' by Pitbull and they all started laughing and joking again.

...but Jason Mraz isn't from the UK. :( The staying power of 'The A Team' has been phenomenal and whilst I've not liked this as much I am liking his new single' Lego House' so I suspect this will be a better hit than 'You Need Me' has been for me.

This is a fine slice of UK dance music. You're probably not a Professor Green fan but Emeli really does make that song for me. Without Emeli's chorus, the song would be nothing.

Beyonce's material this year has been abysmal imo. It was bad enough when she kick started this era with 'Run The World (Girls)'. Whilst this track seems like the saving grace, I've since heard '1+1' and now new single 'Countdown' and they are so shite!!! :manson: Beyonce should go bad and get Sasha Fierce because that album was packed with brilliant songs. '4' just sounds like a load of rejects, lack of ideas and maybe a silly deadline to get something put together.

I actually feel sorry for Matt Cardle - I may have posted this after he won X Factor but by being signed to Syco, it's ended up having a negative impact on his career already. People are so quick to judge an artist from one single and it's peak. He's entered at #6 with his first proper single. The chances are now that Matt could release an amazing single in December and miss the top 30 altogther because the media will say he's flopped and won't support him. I think he's a great musician but Simon Cowell is also out of touch (hence why Syco are incapable of looking after their own artists). I'm convinced they still think it's 2007, X Factor winners can get to no. 1 with over 200k first week sales and spend 7 weeks at #1. Sadly Syco didn't get the memo saying "the music industry has moved onto 2011 - you're 4 years out of date". :D To conclude, Syco prove once again that winning X Factor is not always a good thing.

I thought 'Billionaire' was brilliant albeit in a hidiously American pop culture way, therefore having no real relevance to anybody living in the UK. Yet I still liked it. :lol: That chorus "oh everytime I close my eyes..." was pure *.* pop. 'Stereo Hearts' lacks that something to make it more than what it is. As it is, it's a decent enough song and imo it's far from Gym Class Heroe's worst singe. That accolade goes to 'Clothes Off!!!' which was just atrocious.

Well, for a Sean Paul track it's certainly one of his best. As mentioned above, this is the 4th Sean Paul track to make my chart since Janauary 2004. However, I was really unimpressed with Sean Paul in 2003 and tracks like 'Like Glue' would've failed to make my chart back then. Alexis Jordan is the clear stand out on this track - if it was an Alexis single perhaps with a small cameo from Sean Paul this would be more tolerable.

I've said elsewhere on the forums that Matt Cardle is easily the best male winner The X Factor has had. I just feel sorry for Matt that he's signed to Syco as imo he deserves better.

I'm guessing there's going to be a lot of tracks here you won't have heard of. I've started taking part in BJSC (since April 2011) and so any tracks I discover via BJSC that I really like will also make my chart.

[Apr] Agnes Obel - Riverside <--- beautiful ballad by Danish artist that topped my chart for 4 weeks, this gave me a debut win in BJSC :D
