Not yet... But its coming ^_^

Gaga will be performing on X Factor on November 13th (same day as 1D)

I hope Marry The Night becomes a huge smash, its definitely the most radio friendly/club banger song she's released so far (off BTW), so i have high hopes. She is also rumoured to be performing on Alan Carr, and she has CiN and the EMAs as promo too!!

:w00t:

TOO SOON for the single... maybe another top 20,

and this is the BEST of BTW.

I think Ed will get top 10 before Nicole overtakes him. I hope it shoots up into the top 5 with the top 10 effect :D

I hope so. I hope Ed goes top 10, then shoots up with the top 10 effect, then Nicole can knock The Wanted out of the top 10 and get the top 10 effect herself.

After Scheiße and TEOG :kink:

I think its being released on November 20th here, so that gives it a couple more weeks

Good to see Game Over always selling so well too. Modern day classic tbh.

Agreed. Tinchy Stryder's unpopularity at the time (Seriously, he had two flops in comparison to what he had with the previous album) stopped it from going higher. It also didn't help that on the charts it was listed as "Tinchy Stryder featuring Chipmunk". And Chipmunk totally destroyed the song (in a bad way). His verse didn't fit with any of the song, similar to Hitman on the single version of Forgot about Dre

It was also less popular than it could've been since it wasn't released as a single. It was just an album track (although it peaked the same as, and outsold, Second Chance which was released 2 weeks before it ).

I think I like the song, because there's no massive female chorus or club beat to distract people. The whole emphasis is on the lyrics. Of course, there's lots and lots of songs like that, but they never actually manage to chart!

I really didn't like Chipmunk's flow on the song tbh. :( It was too slow. And some of the lines were a bit silly too. Like "I open my mouth, panic". Erm, sorry... but nobody will be panicking after that verse. Not to menion he sounds like he wants to be signed to Young Money, and he rhymes "puppy" with "puppy". :drama:

About Forgot About Dre, I LOVE that song!!! Conveniently, I was watching a behind the scenes video for it on Youtube a couple of weeks ago, so I can answer that question. Apparently his verse was from a different song, but Dr. Dre put it at the end of the music video to help promote him, which explains why it sounds out of place.

I don't get why you've always said Game Over was an album track? It was an album track yet I saw the video to it probably as many times as I did to all of his other singles off that album combined! It was no wonder it did as well as them given it was promoted as much as them, 'official' single or not!

You've asked me this like 5 times already, but I'll answer again. I say it's an album track, because is IS an album track. In the same way that 1+1 by Beyonce, Man Down by Rihanna, etc. are album tracks. Not to mention, why would Tinchy Stryder release two singles a fortnight apart?

I don't really watch MTV very much, so I didn't know how much it got played on there. It's great that it got so much play though, since the music video is really boring. It proves you don't need massive dance routines and computer effects to get MTV airplay (I bet Adele must be pleased to hear this ).

I heard Game Over a lot on urban radio too though, to be fair. I think the main reason why it sold so much was just because of all the artists on the track, and the quality of the song.

Possibly, it will have been a while ago though and I don't remember reading your reply. Noel Gallagher released two singles barely any time apart (although the second was OA/OS). It doesn't strike me as that weird, especially as the first was flopping so he needed to get the next one out quickly.

So what you're saying is even though it got exactly the same promotion as a 'single' (video play and radio play and numerous channels and stations) it's not a single. Was 'Don't Stop The Party' by Black Eyed Peas a single?

Don't worry. I repeat myself all the time aswell, so it's okay. :D

Yes, Don't Stop the Party was a single.

Look at Me Now by Chris Brown got both a lot of radio airplay and got MTV airplay, so was that a single (in the UK)?

And a lot of "singles" don't get music videos, so can't be played on MTV.

So Don't Stop The Party was a single after having got radio play, video play and it never got an individual release, either physically or digitally, you can only buy it digitally from its parent album.

Game Over was not a single after having got radio play, video play and it never got an individual release, either physically or digitally, you can only buy it digitally from its parent album.

Fair enough.

Top 100 update coming in a bit (I'll also post the new entries/dropouts for the last two days - sorry, I didn't do the update again yesterday either:drama: Must not get into this habit).

 77. The First Note Is Silent - High Contrast

 187. The First Note Is Silent (Radio Edit) - High Contrast

:D (I wonder why he didn't release this yesterday though?)

DSTP was 'released' a while after Just Can't Get Enough, whereas Game Over was 'released' a week after his album was. It was only regarded as a single because it charted highly on cherrypicks.

But why so much video play BEFORE the album was even released? I'm not sure about airplay because I never listen to the radio, but the video was played significantly before it even charted. If it was 'just an album track' why? Yeah, maybe it wasn't an 'official' single but you can't really be surprised it sold as well as other songs of his which had no more promo than Game Over had. It wasn't cherrypicked either, it was bought in such great numbers due to pent up demand promotion had given it, like a single really.

Lay It On Me by Kelly Rowland is getting a lot of airplay at the moment, but it's not a single (yet). Down For Whatever is clearly her single.

I hear 1+1, Love on Top, Party and End of Time from Beyonce's album a lot on the radio, and now most of those are getting MTV play too, so do you think they're singles?

I know you don't like Game Over, but I'm pleased at how successful it was personally. It's technically an album track, but if you want to consider it a "single", you can (I can understand why you thought it was a single, since it got a lot of promotion for an album track), and it still did very well.

I remember people laughing at Second Chance not doing very well, and everybody going "lol. Everybody has forgotten about him. One hit wonder" and so on. Truth is, Tinchy is still going strong now. I heard his new song with Calvin Harris on Radio 1 today.
