Who'd have thought this track would be as high as #2 on iTunes when it first got released. Again, proof of a song growing in popularity is evident here. It is very similar to Ellie Goulding 'Your Song' from late 2010 - a stripped cover doing well off the back of a TV commercial. Or in this case a TV commercial and X Factor performance of the song. Yet to chart this but it's growing on me albeit very slowly. 3. Ed Sheeran - Lego House (9) (CR-14-16-18-14-9-3) This is a brilliant track. The video really adds some depth and meaning to the song and it's interesting to see Rupert playing the lead role. I quite how Ed himself only appears in his own video for a grand total of 10 seconds. :lol: It shows that's there's no focus on Ed as a "face" and that it's all about the song and the visuals. As much as I liked 'The A Team', I actually think this has potential to be an even bigger hit in my chart. :o 5. Maroon 5 feat Christina Aguilera - Moves Like Jagger (3) (CR-64-52-50-62-OUT-60-14-3-3-1-1-1-1-2-2-3-6) Longest Runner Some say this is the surprise hit of 2011...but is it? It was already doing well in a few other countries prior to its UK release. I think because of the artists involved, people must've thought nobody would be interested in a song combining the vocals of Adam Levine and Xtina. If anything, I'd say this is the unluckiest UK hit of 2011 (for obvious reasons :D ). 7. Rihanna feat Calvin Harris - We Found Love (4) (CR-21-4-3-4-7) I still think this is brilliant. Unlike Calvin Harris' lukewarm singles this year, this track does seem to have got the balance. Whilst the video is interesting to watch as it looks very "Film 4 - British Films", it makes you wonder why they chose a male actor who is the spitting image of Chris Brown. :wacko: 9. All in all a very good performance and if there's going to be a music video, this could make the top 10 yet. Not a millon miles awya from 'You And I' by Lady GaGa. 15. Loreen - Sober (11) (CR-36-13-10-20-15-11-15) Like Lise Karlsnes, expect to see Loreen entering my chart tomorrow. Kudos to Guetta for producing a track that doesn't overstep its mark by having a cluttered sounding backing track. The Collective - Teardrop (33) (CR-34-33-33) There's several things that actually irritate me about the video to this song. It doesn't seem anywhere near as sincere as it probably is. Mainly shots of Gary Barlow's face!!! He isn't singing on the track so what's the point? :lol: Yes, I'm aware "he put this together" but Simon Cowell didn't have his face feature in the 'Everbody Hurts' Helping Haiti video, and right so. This was never going to better the Massive Attack original. The verses of this new version all seem a bit mismatched to the song itself too. 37. Beyoncé - Countdown (NEW) (CR-37) I usually try to avoid negative comments but DEAR ME what is this mess? We've already had two terrible singles in 'Run The World (Girls)' and '1 + 1'. Charlene Soraia - Wherever You Will Go (5) (CR-6-5-1) I quite liked Sophie's version of this on X Factor, but I'm not sure on Charlene's voice 2. Kate Ryan feat Narco - Broken (10) (CR-10-2) It's growing on me slightly, but I much prefer your replacement BJSC entry to it! 34. Molly Sandén - Spread A Little Light (40) (CR-40-34) I've only heard a live performance of this. I think it might be a grower, but it felt as if it was lacking something on first listen. 36. Earpony - Jag E Frågan Du E Svaret (NEW) (CR-36) Just had a quick listen to this on Youtube, not bad, quite similar to some of Salem's previous material but with a new wave vibe. I wonder if this is another potential participant in MF 2012? Great to see Steps still reigning supreme in the albums! Ooh, that is good to hear! I decided to take a risk :D I love Broken as you can see but I can't see it being much of a long runner in my chart so didn't want to use it as my entry... 34. I like it but indeed it's not incredible... 36. Yeah, it's very trademark Salem in places. Maybe so, I'd like to see him in MF solo again! I was going to send Raluka (as I think you'd correctly worked out) as I knew I really liked it, but diverted to Gabrielle after seeing Bordet on Scandipop and instantly falling in love with it! 36 - He'd be a welcome addition! I'm very much hoping to see Loreen, Timoteij & Jenny Silver make returns and follow their entries with albums. Mans, Molly Sanden, Agnes, Gravitonas, Love Generation & Velvet could also feature as I think they are all due new albums, and of course you can't rule out the MF staples Sanna Nielsen & Shirley Clamp :kink: I quite liked the last album and Breakaway, so hopefully I'll like Stronger equally as much!
