This competition seems to have been hijacked by anti-artist pettiness. Hence the early exits if GaGa, Britney etc. A shame....

Well I've been voting for 'I'm Like A Bord' for several rounds on the quiet so it's nice to see it's likely to go this time round.

 

'Maneater' is a billion times better. :P

To be honest, I do think people are voting based on songs rather than artists, at least with the well-known songs.

 

For example, Single Ladies went out almost at the beginning of 2009, but Halo finished 4th. Or Rihanna in 2008, with Live Your Life and Take a Bow doing really badly, but then Disturbia and Don't Stop the Music coming 2nd and 3rd. Or Britney, she had Womanizer do really badly in its year, but then Toxic won its year. Or Katy Perry, with I Kissed a Girl going out early, but Hot N Cold winning. Or the Black Eyed Peas, who had Meet Me Halfway finish 5th one year, but My Humps do terribly. Or Madonna, who had 4 Minutes do terrible, but Hung Up did very well.

 

I could go on basically. But I do think people are voting based on the songs for the most part (even if I disagree with a lot of the results :lol:). Those examples outlined above don't really support the idea that people are voting based on the artists.

Yes, let's get rid of Nelly Furtado right now. ^_^

So I'm away and unable to participate for about 4 days and we lose So What, Toxic, White Flag and Maneater? Oh dear. Most of the rest are crap. Everytime to go.
