Coldplay should continue to sell reasonably well over the festive period. I also think Olly Murs may do well and Rihanna's latest set.

Disagree with you on the two points I've quoted. Buble won't do anywhere near 2 million this year. I was scorned for predicting in another thread that he'll do a million this year but think that's easily achievable with two or three good 200k+ weeks in December.

 

Think Adele will be top 5 Christmas week with big sales, something like 250k+. There are still many people who don't have it remember!

 

Buble sells really well in the uk, and with an xfactor appearance, an itv special and the fact that its a Christmas album released at Christmas it will do extremely well i feel. :P

You could be right - Chasing Lights was a slow burner, Wordshaker was released about three weeks to early and with a crap lead single so didn't benefit from the Christmas rush and Headlines was barely even an album.

Wikipedia probably won't let Amy have a 'third album'. Michael Jackson's 'Michael' is listed there as a compilation for some bizarre reason.

I agree with them TFM isn't Gaga's second album. An 8-track EP is not a studio album IMO :P Same with Keane's Night Train, it's listed in the discography summary on Keane's page with their 3 studio albums (presumably because of its success and the fact they released a single from it and whatnot), but if you go to the full discography page it's listed alongside their other EPs and it says they only have 3 albums.

I think they'll have good first week sales with the slip cases, but with Rihanna, Westlife, 1D, Su-Bo, JLS, The Wanted, Olly Murs and more releasing their album around the same time they'll probably drop. AND other albums from this year will more than likely rise (Adele/Gaga/Coldplay/Jessie J/Bruno Mars/Beyonce/Mumford and Sons etc). But they should stay top 30.

 

Susan Boyle is not as popular as she was in 2009 & 2010. Her 3rd Album will

do no-where near as well as the first two. Westlife are also not as popular as

they once were. I'd be surprised if their 'Hits' Album sells anything like the

numbers of their previous biggest Albums.

Wikipedia has it titled as 'Bon Iver, Bon Iver' because of one source where Justin Vernon called it that and they refuse to change it to just 'Bon Iver' despite the fact NO ONE calls it 'Bon Iver, Bon Iver'. Wikipedia titles are supposed to reflect common names, not accurate names.

All her songs and albums are released under the mononym 'Beyoncé' and that's what she's best known as, but her page is titled Beyoncé Knowles. In my playlists and personal charts I refer to her as Beyonce Knowles - i think it was because her first single release (Work it Out) had her down on the radio 1 playlist with her full name.

Last year SuBo sold 102k in the first week, Westlife sold 94k with a normal album, the greatest hits could sell more?!

 

I think One Direction will have massive sales and be a big seller in December as Mums buy it for their daughters as a stocking filler!
