Are there a new set of 59p songs, because there's a lot of weird stuff high in the chart atm? :o

Weird stuff like what? I don't see anything out of the ordinary.

I'm watching it and MOTD 2, from what I can gather Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber have won most which is ridiculous. Although I dont mind Gaga her new material is nowhere near the standard of the Fame. As for Bieber I just don't understand him at all, he's not even a genuine pop star imo.

One good thing was that Eminem won Best Hip Hop - he thanked everyone on a video link - he was in the studio with 50 Cent producing his new album. 30 Seconds to Mars won Best Alternative and Queen won Lifetime Award.

Bieber's secret - his management... Don't think his mother manages him, but she takes part, indeed :P

Well, actually management is a main word in music industry B-)

Lady Gaga started with some professional managers and than decided to rule processes by herself... The result hasn't took long to appear

I can't remember now. Well, there's some old Avril Lavigne song really high (I forgot which one), and there were a few other things too.

Lady Gaga has some SERIOUS issue with her management (or rather, lack of it). She really needs to change her attitude, and learn to take people's advice, etc.

Justin Bieber won best male and best pop - Jesus. Your right tho Eric, if the fans voted the awards are a farce. But Gaga's performance was immense, could get it top 100 on itunes.

They also seem very American orientated even though its the European Music Awards!

Eminem is my favourite artist ever!!

Top 100? Do lots of people watch then? And I share your love for Eminem.

If it's I'm With You, it's probably because it was sung by the band on Strictly Come Dancing last night.

Yes, that's it. Thanks. :D

Other things I thought were weird was a few Susan Boyle songs, Beautiful Disaster by Kelly Clarkson, Naive, Unchained Melody, Wonderwall and Superstition by Stevie Wonder. Although I've been seeing Stevie Wonder high up iTunes for quite a while now. Maybe an advert or something?

Yeap...

She is definitely creative, but her raw uncontrolled creativity is not so pleasant

She needs someone who will continue to tell her what is acceptable to publish and what is better to hide as far as possible

There was some Susan Boyle programme on this weekend and Beautiful Disaster was performed on X Factor

David Guetta also performed Without You with Jessie J, pretty cool!
I think JLS will still get to #1 because of physicals.

They will be ahead for the first few days! By Sunday Rihanna will have caught, because she will start closing by Tuesday pm...especially when JLS start falling...cos they are so frontloaded!

You're right. And there's just SOOOO many instances of this. For example:

- Her firing the guy who was making The Edge of Glory music video, because she didn't like what he was doing? I think she should've just let him do it tbh.

- She forced her record label to release Alejandro instead of Dance in the Dark (I do believe Alejandro was a much better single choice, but still, it's the principle).

- I read in an interview that her least favourite music video is Telephone. Why? Because she said she had so many good ideas for the video that she wasn't allowed to put in. I mean, that happens to every artist. It's sad, but GET OVER IT!

- She said she doesn't want to do collabs on Born This Way because she wants to be "in full control" of her work. Um, yes, we gathered that. :drama:

- The way she treated Beyonce on the set of Video Phone was DESPICABLE.

I'm honestly not in the slightest bit surprised that this Cher "collaboration" is taking so long to be released.

I don't know Lady Gaga personally, so maybe I shouldn't judge, but I think she needs to improve on her teamworking skills.

Weird that David Guetta and Jessie J performed Without You. You'd think they'd perform their own song, Repeat.

Lets hope jls start to fall now. Physicals dont make a big impact at all these days and i cant see them helping jls.

Well for starters no one knows if she herself fired Joseph Kahn, and by the sounds of things he LEFT the project by his own accord because of differences with Gaga's creative director, not her....

And all the other things you mentioned... really? So an artist wants to be in control of their own career? God forbid that should ever happen in 2011, lock her away immediately!

So you don't think an artist should have control over their OWN music? I'd say an artist is perfectly within their rights to be able to decide the direction of an album and single campaign!

1) She fired everyone from 'TEoG' video because she decided to save the 'mermaid' idea/concept for the 'You And I' music video, not because "she didn't like what he was doing".

2) She released 'Alejandro' because Alexander McQueen (who she wrote the song about) died. Then 'Dance In The Dark' was released in Australia as single #4.

3) She doesn't like the 'Telephone' video because she feels there's too many idea's shoved into it, NOT because she wasn't allowed to put any more in.

4) She didn't want any collabs on 'Born This Way' because she felt that it was important to stand on her own two feet and establish herself without needing to collaborate with anyone else.

5) LOL.

:D

01. Rihanna & Calvin Harris - We Found Love. 100%

02. Jls - Take A Chance On Me 80.5% (Looks Like Rihanna will hang on to number one as we know how frontloaded Jls Are)

10. Charlene Soraia - Wherever You Will Go 39.7% 0.2%

11. Pixie Lott & Pusha T - What Do You Take Me For 37.5% 0.3% (Only Gained 0.1% on Charlene Soraia) Looks Like she will not close the 2.2% gap! Hope she has much needed promotion tomorrow.

JLS have the TACOM EP as well if they didnt have that they would have been no1 by now i still think they have a shot at getting another no1 but i really dont mind rihanna reclaiming it on sunday cus i like both songs

Yeap... But in spite of these things she is personally much better than "singing heads" like JLS, The Wanted, etc... She creates something new and this is the main thing

Even if she won't listen to anybody she'll find her place. Maybe she'll launch some musical on Broadway and will play the leading part :D It will score a huge success I think

As an artist she does seem far weaker than two years ago. I haven't heard about her management issues until reading this thread tonight but it all sounds believable. Her chart performances should really have been better, tracks being released midway through weeks and videos for songs taking ages to complete indicate some issues. Rihanna and Katy Perry have had far better years than Gaga this year.
