To be fair, replace "Tulisa" with "Tania Foster" and you've basically got Green Light...which got to #1.

Although, I have to admit, the beat to Green Light is LEGENDARY, so we can let it off. I haven't heard The Collective's song yet, but I doubt the beat can be that good, as I imagine it'll be similar to the original's one.

It's produced by Labrinth.

Oh yes. I forgot about that. I'd imagine it'd be good then. But I assume it still samples from the original beat? I should really just go and listen to the song for myself before jumping to conclusions.

Glee top 200 update:

87. Uptown Girl

107. America

148. Tonight

191. Last Friday Night [T.G.I.F]

If Glee was still on e4 then uptown girl would probably be in the top 40/50 :(

And for that reason we should be thankful that it's moved :w00t:

Looks like another week with no top 100 hits produced then - we've only had 2 so far this entire series, compared to 67 from series 1 and 65 from series 2. I'm liking this drastic crash and burn very much.

So much UK promo for Gaga in the next week or so!!

Saturday: Gaga vs Queen week on X Factor

Sunday: Gaga performs Marry The Night on X Factor

Thursday: Children in Need Rocks - Performing Born This Way & Marry The Night

Friday: Children in Need - another performance

Sunday (20th): Alan Carr's Chatty Man

:w00t:

I hope this all helps the album significantly, then the video the week after (24th?) shoots MTN higher and higher

Early online rumours regarding song choices on XF this weekend suggest that Misha will either be performing

Bohemian Rhapsody

or

Telephone

while Little Mix are rumoured to be performing

Bad Romance

.

I would take these with a pinch of salt though.

JLS are in freefall, it's all over now.

Didn't know it started to be over :P Think most of us knew Rihanna was going to be #1 on sunday.
JLS are in freefall, it's all over now.

Their bar has decreased by 8% in 23 hours, I wouldn't really call that 'freefall', just typical end-of-release-week decline. I thought it'd be much lower by now personally. (And anyway, it's been 'over' ever since they failed to reach #1 after XF :P)

I think it might struggle to even spend a second week top 10 though, the rest of the top 10 are already closing in fairly quickly and it's certain to continue falling quite rapidly for a while, that combined with all the new releases could see it out of the top 10 very soon.

Upcoming singles climbing up the chart:

35. Christina Perri - A Thousand Years

58. The Wanted - Warzone

60. Jessie J - Who You Are

68. Katy Perry - The One That Got Away

111. Beyonce - Love On Top - This has GOT to be a hit

134. Lil Wayne ft. Bruno Mars - Mirror

140. Example - Midnight Run

142. Jason Derulo - Fight For You

150. Coldplay ft. Rihanna - Princess of China

159. Adele - Rumour Has It

227. Still Speedin' - Sway ft. Kano - I'm sure this only got playlisted because of Top Boy.

228. Wretch 32 ft. Etta Bond - Forgiveness

231. Chase & Status ft. Sub Focus & Takura Tendayi - Flashing Lights

370. James Morrison ft. Jessie J - Up

387. Lady Gaga - Marry the Night

427. Jay-Z & Kanye West ft. Mr. Hudson - Why I Love You

462. Pitbull ft. Chris Brown - International Love - Not sure if it's actually the next single

686. Matt Cardle - Starlight

750. Florence + The Machine - No Light, No Light

853. Tinie Tempah ft. Ester Dean - Love Suicide

Unfortunately, I can honestly see most of these missing the top 40.

Is 'Love Suicide' even a single? I'm pretty sure it isn't.

Hopefully 'Midnight Run' and 'Rumour Has It' will be top 100 within the next few days.

I don't know. I haven't heard any announcement on what they're going to promote as the next single.

I've just assumed it is because it's reclimbed into the top 1000 for the past couple of weeks. It's very high on Irish iTunes. Perhaps a few radio stations just happen to be playing it a lot atm.

If Tinie does release another single, I hope it's So Addicted.

Tinie is working on his second album so I would assume 'Till I'm Gone' is the last Disc-Overy single. 'Obsession' is the best song left on the album so if he insists on releasing another single that would be the best option IMO but I think now is the time to move on (also it'd probably break his run of 13 consecutive top 40 hits :P)

Matt Cardle - Starlight really is flopping! Wow at Lady Gaga's promotion.. Marry The Night really should go top 10 and the album should sell very, very well over the Christmas period.

Love Suicide might be in the chart because, judging by Youtube, Tinie has been touring and performing the song, and people are buying it from that. I never really thought it could have so much of an effect, especially since I don't think many people would go to see Tinie live. Imagine how much it would be selling if it was performed on a big TV show! :o

Hopefully Tinie will be on more songs from Labrinth's album.

When is the proper release date for it? It could be early days still I think. But I think they might've released the music video too early. And, not that it's the best comparison, but I think Joe McElderry's 2nd single missed the top 40, so it might be a similar thing here.

Has the release campaign (airplay etc.) even STARTED for Starlight yet? I think it's far too early to be calling it a flop. It probably WILL flop but stranger things have happened.

Yeah that's what i meant by freefall. They had been falling slightly by a percent, but then climbing up again constantly for the past week but now they have stopped climbing and are falling quite fast. I did expect them to hang on to the iTunes second spot till the new releases on Sunday but at this rate they will drop to 4 pretty fast.

Should sell 70+ thousand tho which is some good news for them. Think this one has another 30k-50k in it for next week with the album coming out but after that its gona be a case of

Matt Cardle - Starlight is out 4 December so he might have another XF performance or Strictly etc something on those lines that will ensure a top 40 charting. I wouldn't say he's flopped tho, he's had a top 10 single, and a number 2 album. If the single and album had been released during that long period of no notable releases earlier in the year then he would have had a top 3 and a number 1 respectively.

The album has sold over 100k and still holding well in the charts and selling steadily until Christmas helps boost the sales and obviously Starlight being released should help. Starlight has been playlisted by Radio 2 (not great but its a start with a month till release). I can see him going platinum with this album, and i hope he does cos he really is a genuine nice fella

02. Labrinth & Tinie Tempah - Earthquake 66%

03. Jls - Take A Chance On Me 61.9%

04. David Guetta & Usher - Without You 60.07%

05. Ed Sheeran - Lego House 60.5% (Combined)

06. Professor Green - Read All About It 62% (Combined #3) Combined!

I think Jls will have a massive tumble to around #10 next week with Collective,Saturdays,Westlife,Flo Rida, Snow Patrol, (Maybe Rihanna will release her song during the week) and One Direction. Jls could even drop out of the top 10 next week if Guetta & Sheeran overtake them knocking them down to #6th combined.
