It may enter high but drop quickly...but seriously...the fact they are a band from x factor means it wont be anything decent!

They were on tv last week saying the debut single would be released in the Summer

& The reason they were originally going to release a single in March is because they were apparently due to do the Comic Relief single instead of The Wanted

I doubt they'll do a cover for their first single.

I did like them on X Factor, so I'm looking forward to their single.

No. But they have potential to be as big as Blue were... (Yes I'd say JLS are arguably bigger than Blue were in their hey day)
Let's hope its not a case of an advert KILLING them (see Duffy)... that Pokemon advert is the cringiest thing I have ever seen!

They're in an advert?

LMFAO. Oh dear. Is it as bad as the Duffy/JLS ones?

Oh yeah the advert is worse than the Duffy and JLS ones! :o They're sat there cringily pretending they know what they're on about :P In other news, these boys are belatedly growing on me after seeing them on the XF tour the other week :o They were brilliant :D

'for me it's all about the collecting'

and the JUMPING with the cuddly pokemon...

That ad made Pikachu sad...

They didnt even sing live on X Fixtor so expect a manafactured auto-tuned hell of Bieber x5 thats how bad they will be :nono: :drama: :coffee:  :nocheer: :banghead: :hithead: :snif:

Are you shure about that?

I didn't like them at XF at all.

Oh dear, they seem to think it's still 2004:

One Direction have recorded a collection of rock-influenced pop for their debut album, reports have suggested.

The X Factor finalists have been working with US producer and writer Matt Squire, who has previously collaborated with rock bands Good Charlotte and Panic! At The Disco.

Record executives are said to be excited with the pop five-piece's direction in sound and are championing the rock-pop inspired material they have recorded.

"There is one track called 'Nah Nah Nah' that has excited execs at their label Syco - the song could be the first single," a source told The Sun. "It's got more of a guitar influence than people expect.

"The lads aren't going down the dance route and have been teamed with Matt - who made his name with punk acts but has recently branched out into pop too."

X Factor vocal producer Savan Kotecha recently told Digital Spy that the boys would be "experimenting" with new sounds on their upcoming debut and described their songs as "catchy".

That's my interest TOTALLY gone tbh :( I'm not one to judge without hearing but I never liked McFly until Above The Noise when they went in a more 'electronic' direction, and I don't like Panic At The Disco or Good Charlotte bar like one song from each. I'd much rather they took the JLS route tbh :(

well, I think thats quite good intentions, we already have JLS and The Wanted, and for me thats quite enough boybands  seriously, it will be interesting to hear

I reckon a pop-influenced 'Panic At The Disco' style of sound could work in their favour! Think 'Nine In The Afternoon', that sort of production.

I think this is meant to be the album cover:

Not sure on some of the faces a couple of them are pulling but I really like it and it's LOADS better than the image a few posts above.

Harry looks like a young child on a trampoline - horrendous picture of him and the Niall in particular, but the latter is to be expected. No expense spared on this era, the video for WMYB and album must have cost about £5 to make.

Also a couple of interview quotes to let us know what the album might sound like:

Describing Up All Night, Zayn Malik recently said: "It's anthemic. We can't say that enough times. To work with RedOne was such a big deal. It's more like the sound he created with Nicole Scherzinger. Powerful."

Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has written several tracks for Up All Night and Louis Tomlinson described the 'You Need Me, I Don't Need You' star as "phenomenal".

I never trust these types of things fully but the words RedOne & Nicole Scherzinger make me so excited to hear it, given how brilliant 'Poison' is.

I look forward to the inevitable POPPERS BULK BUYING SESSION after I first hear the album then if RedOne's recreating the Scherzy sound for them *.*
