Posted November 8, 201113 yr Pretty big news. I thought it deserved its own topic, but feel free to merge if you want Silas. "Broke a golden rule". This far in to the competition I can only assume it was recreational drug use, as he's done just about everything else. Or they booted him out for swearing live (even though that happened weeks ago). Will Johnny & The Risk come back? Perhaps as a supergroup :o
November 8, 201113 yr Would they get rid for drug use? Especially seeing as the tabloids haven't reported anything (unless they've been silenced)? Maybe he tried to bring a girl back to the X Factor house?

Maybe he tried to bring a girl back to the X Factor house? I'd imagine because if the media got hold of it, they'd have a field day. X Factor have already been accussed of promotiong alcohol, now keeping a contestant in who uses drugs would probably be the end of the sraw for the family show image.
November 8, 201113 yr So now he's been kicked off, that'll mean they don't want any association with him now, right?.. so won't they have to edit/redo the charity single too??

I don't care for the reason either way, I'm just THOROUGHLY PLEASED. Now for Gary to pool all his resources into making Marcus this year's winner s'il vous plait :D
November 8, 201113 yr Being that A) this is the X-Factor and B) I'm a cynic, could it be a possibility that the bosses are appalled at how it's going and that Frankie was the protest vote for the ever growing masses of people growing hugely dissatisfied with the programme, and with poorer than expected and dwindling ratings and probably phone vote income, they can't bear to see him continue and it get even worse, he's been paid and silenced to save the show. One of The Risk has also tweeted within the hour that their phone line didn't work properly....

One of The Risk has also tweeted within the hour that their phone line didn't work properly.... Apparently it said "thankyou for voting for Frankie". I'm always sceptical about these sorts of things though, can just be a case of sour grapes from some. I'd expect The Risk to be re-instated ahead of Johnny. I think he'll pass on the offer.
November 8, 201113 yr Author Will M&S have to re-do their ads now? I'd be surprised. I don't think it will be revealed what Frankie did.
November 8, 201113 yr Author FRANKIE STATEMENT: "“I’d like to apologise to Gary, my fellow contestants and everyone who has voted for me, but, as of today (TUES), I will no longer be in The X Factor. My life during the show has gone out of control and my behaviour off stage has over-stepped the rules of the competition. I no longer deserve my place in the show, so I am therefore leaving. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me.”
November 8, 201113 yr TRUE. I don't care for the reason either way, I'm just THOROUGHLY PLEASED. Now for Gary to pool all his resources into making Marcus this year's winner s'il vous plait :D Unfortunately Craig still exists. Who I love (as well as Marcus), just saying that won't be happening. One of The Risk has also tweeted within the hour that their phone line didn't work properly.... See I just don't get that mentality. If you don't like the show don't watch it and don't vote, rather than ruining it for everyone else. If that's true about The Risk though that's shocking. I thought they gave one of their best performances on Saturday. I guess tehre could also be confusion over what you were supposed to text to vote for them.
November 8, 201113 yr I don't get why people disillusioned with the show would WASTE THEIR MONEY voting. Yeah I'm going to stick it to you/the show by lining your pockets all the same. GENIUS...
November 8, 201113 yr Author An X Factor spokesperson said: 'Frankie is leaving the show today after breaking competition rules. 'He is going to take some time out before continuing his career as a singer. We wish him all the best for his future.' No news has been released yet about who, if anyone, will take his place. The spokeperson simply added: ' We'll make an announcement about Saturday's show tomorrow Looks like the producers don't even know what to do!

Well neither do I but as someone who doesn't like the show I have to say this series has been by FAR the best purely because it's so utterly HILARIOUS seeing everyone get so worked up and spewing so much hate about something so insignificant, however I would certainly never vote just for the LOLZ
November 8, 201113 yr Has there EVER been so much CHAOS in any of the previous X-Factor seasons? Goldie quit, Ashley booted out, Ashford in instead, fraud investigations, racism / bullying accusations, Frankie kicked out. WHAT NEXT? Janet is PREGNANT?

But it was Frankie that was getting the show all the media coverage. What are they going to do now? I mean - nice bunch of people that they are - this series line-up is hardly brimming with talent. Half the fun of watching was seeing how badly Frankie would be and even more fun - seeing how many ways Gary's voice was telling us he was great while his face was saying 'Get rid of this guy for me pleeeaaaaase!' I do think this whole series has been one of the most false that we've ever had.
